Great guide, bro. Appreciate it! Gonna go ahead and get this game right now. I just wanted to knlw how the systems worked. And these all seem really awesome. Only thing that worries me is the issue with Mind Challenges someone else mentioned in the comments. You had said they "half fixed the issue". So we'll see what happenes with that.
@@MatthewPatrick1989 The problem with Mind Challenges is pretty annoying, but it's only a small part of the game. It's still a great game with more than enough to make up for it
I just started playing a couple of days ago and while I really enjoyed the action, I felt like the progression was going to be a grind. Your video pretty much helped me confirm I have just been playing wrong. The game doesn't do a very good job explaining it's own systems, but you did an awesome job!
Around the 10 minute mark, I am very thankful for your explanation concerning that ""skill-tree"". Shame on the developer, that is a horrible way to visually represent that information, and no explanation for it to boot!
Apologies if you explained this and I missed it but I am confused about a couple of things regarding potentials. Firstly I don't understand how to activate the "Activated Hidden Effects" that some potentials have. Also at the top right of the screen that shows each potential it says "Damage +X%" Does that mean each time you get an upgrade for that potential it is also upgrading that potentials damage? When viewing an Evotypes potentials it also says "Current Effect +X%" I have played the game a decent bit but am still a little confused to what these mean or how they work exactly. Any help would be appreciated to better understand. Thanks in advance.
You're right, I forgot to go into those. Hidden Effects are activated by a combination of Potentials. Most of the time, it's two of them, but there's a few cases that take more. They're really a pain because you have to constantly pay close attention. The game will tell you that you're activating a hidden effect when you look at selecting a potential, but not what effect is being activated or which ones are activating it. So you basically have to keep checking the pause menu any time you get a new one and make an educated guess on what was activated and what activated it. There's two types of damage bonuses you get when selecting potentials. One is a stacking 20% damage bonus to your overall damage, and there's another stacking 20% damage bonus to damage for attacks in that Potential.
Great guide, more in-depth that the one I already watched. This maaaaaybe could've used more of a script, as you seemed to lose your train of thought sometimes(?) but overall, it prolly wouldn't shorten the video that much, and it wasn't hard to pay attention to, IMO, at least. But yeah, got a question as well, and it's mostly about the last part of the video. Now that this video is 1 month old, did they end up fixing that mind challenge system? Cus if not, wouldn't that in the end, mean that you would have to delete some of the legacies you have (even if they are good or not in your mind) and make new ones to try out in the challenges? If so, holy MOLY that sounds.....tedious!..and kinda stupid.
Scripted is definitely more ideal, but I tend to struggle with doing commentary separately and then adding video to it. As for the Mind Challenges... sadly they only half fixed the problem. You still "lose" that Evotype when you win or lose a Mind Challenge for the first time. So on your first run-through of them, it's still going to be very tedious. Once you've beaten a Mind Challenge once, it becomes "unlocked" in a sense. Meaning you can use all evotypes an unlimited amount of times in that one. Even the one you won/lost that Mind Challenge with.

Thank you for the guide! The game can be pretty obtuse so this helped a lot in understanding it.
Glad to hear that it helped!
You explained the basics very well!
Thank you for the video! Found several areas where I was "doing it wrong".
Nice video. As a BlazBlue and roguelite fan I’m really digging this game. That said there is a lot of confusing text so this video is appreciated.
Thank you boss very good and I like how organic you are. No shortened bs for likes. Or clickbait. Hope to see more 😁

Yeah, I totally agree that the game isn't explained very well. Glad I could help!

thank you for that!!! Really well explained! Subscribed!
14:29 did they patch this feature out of the game? I can only refine and obtain random mind crystals. I don't have the hold to unlock feature.
In old versions, they were random, but in the current version you're supposed to be able to choose which one you unlock

@@Fury-ju6md Such a stupid system, IMO. Like, it's just artificially adding "replayability" but oh well..
Thanks for the answers, much appreciated!
Can you have multiple mind crystal buffs active at once?
@@donjuan8124 You can have up to 6 of them equipped. You unlock more slots by increasing levels at the squid npc.
