Just upgraded from a m47 244 on bcs to a big turbo m46 744 with a blown headgasket. You’re a major inspiration and I love seeing what these cars are capable with simple reliable builds

I have a 1988 740 GLE with the same champagne paint, but it's a wagon and automatic. Love it, it's a freaking tank! Bought it from redblocksociety actually, small world!

I had a 940 previously and just bought a 740 with b230f atmo. Until the last minute I didn't want to weld the diff because i have another car for wet drift, but maaan I'm so curious how she will do the slides now

I love that you can see ground trough the engine department 2:33 must be easy to work on that engine :)
You can stand in the bay and work on the engine without the airbox and battery. Just make sure the exhaust is cool. Also the bonnet (hood) has a second stage where it goes vertical, so really easy to swap engines.
Hey man, I'm really curious about the process that you went through to switch from the hydraulic engine mounts to the standard urethane one? If that was what I heard you say around 2:38, thanks! I want to replace mine and have the hydraulic ones which are expeeeeensive!

Hi fron Chile, bought a 740 manual with a B230E in it and was a carb version originaly with a k-jet fuel system swap and a like 240 ECU, but cant get it to run... wanto to swap out the whole fuel sistem or something else.... any ideas? would like to have a set up like this eventualy... @Driftsn'lifts ? or anyone else.

i just picked up an na 940 auto...what can i do to make it slide on the cheap? dont seem to have enough power to spin the tires in the dry.
weld differential, cut a coil or two from the springs and send it
do the g80 locker mod, strip as much weight as you can from the car ( can strip 250-600lbs out of these cars depending on how crazy you wanna go) and get really shitty old dry rotted tires and inflate them to 50psi. thats really the only way to have fun in an na auto 7/9.

It can do 120 mph, don't ask me how I know. 4 point spark plugs really help, and clean through with water mist, steam or seafoam.

How do you feel about the 850? it's FWD so drifting isn;t really a possibility, but compared to the redblock, are the 5 cylinder engines any good?
If it’s a T5 (turbo inline 5)it has some tuning potential for sure but if it’s just a regular non turbo engine it is not something to be looking to race in, pretty reliable if you are doing the maintenance

Can’t You show how to make the distributor as you had it? And have you done the crank position sensor the trick with that to get like 5-10hp if you have a lh2.4 system?
Moving the distributor does nothing on an lh2.4 car. Spark timing is set by the chip in the ezk.
88 should be 2.2 tho

@@mohis5664 99 percent of our cars here had them. Im pumped when i find one without a sunroof. The only ones that didnt come with sunroof were 95 940
