  • Having issues with your autoblade not clicking to the right cut depth? I was too.... this is a workaround to get it working manually. Be CAREFUL blade is very sharp.

    I FIGURED IT OUT!!! It's a software issue, and not necessarily a bug, but a feature! If you're in any other cut mode besides "SIMPLE", take note of the different layers you have selected. For example, I was in the "FILL" feature of the cut dialog box, because I wanted only the object WITHOUT a fill to cut, everything else was a graphic. In selecting that, there are options for each fill/line/layer which are: tool, weld, fill color, material, action, and carriage. THIS is where you want to select your cut settings! Previously I was in the vinyl sticker settings, so the machine would revert to this every time. This allows you to cut various materials AND cuts in one job without having to re-register the artwork. I hope this helps! No need to remove your cartridge and manually adjust!

      If you got nowhere talking to the company, maybe this will help you too. Use a mat for everything! Make sure it is THEIR mat or you void your warranty!! Since I've been using the mat, it only happens occasionally. You may even have to double mat for certain material. I hate having to load a full mat for smaller pieces, but it's the only way to get them to go threw without going sideways and messing up a whole sheet. Oh and make sure you only use THEIR mats or you void your warranty! Saw this on another youtube video where the person had issues. They asked him for photos and it was a different company mat, he got voided right on the spot so they didn't have to help him!!

    Thanks so much for this. First day with new machine and its happening to me-- took a while to figure out the depth line wasn't moving, but the removal of the tip cover is doing the trick ! super unfortunate I had to even do this on a brand new machine

    I have this problem too. Instead of removing the cap, I manually adjusted the blade then set the tool to Ratchet Blade instead of Autoblade. I don't know what caused the problem. :(

    • @Melissapher
      @Melissapher 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's so strange. The ratchet works when I send regular cuts to the machine, but if it's a print and cut, it doesn't do it properly. Thanks for the tip about changing the tool to ratchet blade. That helped loads.

    Oh my word, I thought it was just me being an idiot! I've been having similar issues. I've wasted so much vinyl... Bought new blade's.... I had to buy new mats bec of how the blade has gone rogue and destroyed it.... I'm gonna try this method and see if it works for me. Thx

    I got my cameo cause I thought it was a better machine and I got the pro 24 but it’s turning out to be a piece of junk with his poor support so this is very helpful since I spent so much money on it

    If you take the little cap off and give it a clean out and put it back on it can fix the problem, then you can use it as a auto blade again. Worked for me.

      Your tip is working! But I noticed one issue. The passes stay at 1. I have them clicked for 2 to 3 and still does not do more then 1 pass. I hope this issue gets fixed. Do you have update?

    Thank you for this tip as I have the same problem in 2021 not even a month old! Maybe you can help me with another problem, the roller bar. It does not seem to sit level. The left hand roller grabs the material like a snapping turtle, the right side doesn't do anything. This is causing all of my material to be yanked in and them it spins sideways cutting everywhere on the material nonsense! Is there a way to reset the roller bar to straighten it out to pull the material in the way it is supposed to? Thank you for any and all help you can give me.

      @@moniquegolden4784 I called about this and basically got told that there is nothing they can do. I now have to use their mats to cut anything! I'm thinking I may even have to stick two together for some material to go threw straight. Very frustrating as I got it for a Christmas present and don't want to hurt feelings by saying it's not right. Hope my suggestion helps. It stinks having to use a whole mat for a small piece!
