Because they eat the same in the morning as for lunch or dinner, although i heard young japanese drink coffee and eat more western style of breakfast. So i think somehow it does exist.
Ah right. Morninggu is typically a “western” style breakfast im PRETTY SURE. And asagohan (あさごはん) is “normal” Japanese breakfast. Correct me if I’m wrong
No it's mostly savoury. Classic is misosoup, rice, salmon and a sidedish of veggies. It can vary so far as i know. More Japanese eat also toast, eggs, bacon....influence of western culture, i guess. 😊😮
Asa Gohan, (Morning Rice) usually Miso soup, bowl of white rice with some strips of Nori, grilled fish, you pour soy sauce over it eggs and sukemono, pickled veggies, delicious, definitely miss Japan.
Breakfast - meaning break your fasting.......after dinner is and should be your last meal, and you don't eat again until morning and then of course you're hungry, cause you haven't eaten since yesterday 😜
Just go to Denny's or Jonathan's. They both have breakfast. If you go to somewhere like Dotour they will have a "Morning" special -- but won't be too filling.
Leave me for 5 mins i will get myself a whole ahh plate of curry before rushing to uni at 7 am, no second guessing just chomp chomp. Oh and some extra extra serves of rice, just to be sure

My typical Japanese breakfast was miso soup, rice, natto and fish. I loved it. Once a week I had coffee, bread with jelly
No difference in the food for early in the morning as the rest of the day! I had fish soup for my first breakfast in Japan.😊
That is not the meaning of breakfast, you can eat whatever as far as you break the fast.

Now that's something in common we have. In Greece we also call it "Morning" as in "Morning food". Then "Noon (food)" then "Night (food)".

the idea of breaking your fast is something related to both Christianity and European feudalism.
When I was in Japan, my breakfast consisted of a coffee and whatever pastry looked good at the market. 😂

traditional american breakfast doesnt make sense to me as an american, always leave more tired
It is short for "morning service" on western style hotels there.

Do you call this breakfast too??🤔 and why do you call that?
Breakfast means you are breaking your fast since you don't eat all night.
But first, coffee! ☕️😁
We call it "ontbijt" in the netherlands...
Japanese traditional breakfast = not fast at all 😆 somehow, your people created brunch before the westerners
I always call it brunch because I never wake up in the morning ☺️
If you do not eat breakfast while in Japan you will never eat till you leave? Did you mean do not eat in the morning?
It is mornin-gooooo.
