I think what they mean is that 3rd gen idols like Blackpink's Rosé and many more 3 rd gen idols tend to be more outgoing and carefree and in public, whereas 4th gen idols seem more reserved and polished.Maybe it's due to the evolving K-pop industry or changing fan expectations, who notice everything so they are quite and wont react much as 3rdgen use to do
