Gingerbread was an interesting episode on many levels. The main message here is showing how 'mob rule' can easily be influenced by misinformation and even turn on their own friends and family. The burning of the books also an obvious reference to The Nazis who did the same in the 1930s. The overt references to Hansel and Gretel regarding the children very interesting too. Again when get some comic relief with Oz and Xander falling through the roof at the end in their rescue attempt. A very decent S3 stand alone episode again.
willow saying she shouldnt be grounded the first time she did something bad makes no sense. what else does she think her punishment could be? a teenager would probably just end up doing worse things if she sees she can get away with it.
21:19 At least a rat is a mobile living thing. She also deliberately did it to herself rather then trying to do it to someone else and it being reflected.
22:25 - 22:32 By that logic, wasn’t Xander justified in all the shit he gave Buffy about Angel? Angel doing all the evil things he did in season 2 because he lost his soul and Joyce trying to burn Buffy because she was being controlled by a demon are both cases of characters doing things they never would've chosen to do if magic hadn't made them evil against their will.
Cordelia and Giles combination!!! 😀😃😄😁
I love when they pair two characters that don't interact that much together lol
The last 10 minutes of the episode crack me up every time I see it.

I mean if she's never acted out before I think a warning would be completely normal.
Make sunnydale great again.
