Yes, I never could see Willow as having properly 'gone evil.' It was pain that made her crazy, not a selfish power-hungry craze to 'rule/destroy the world' like every other Buffy villain. Except Spike. He just does it for fun 😁
@@cmm5542 Definitely makes for a very different type of "villain", if you can even say villain really. Buffy usually defeats the big bad monster but here, the monster really was pain, grief, rage, loss...
Willow just needed love.
Yeah she goes to destroy the world so "suffering" ends and not just for her - the grief and fighting etc.
It's the two episodes of (many) parts of buffy that has me bawling my eyes out xD
"yes, he's clearly a bad influence on himself" is one of the most underrated lines in the entire series 😅

tear up because she felt so under appreciated and sacrificed everything for everyone else.
People should share this with the people who snicker when you tell them Buffy is the best show to ever had aired on network TV.

@@ksav2854 That's why I included the 'network' part. I don't subscribe to any pay-for-it channels, but I still think Buffy has a good heart and wants to teach truth. More so than shows that have a drugs/violence/depression core.

As a secondary school teacher, that 'And also smoking' line makes me laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME!
And yet ignoring bullying, or, better still, also punishing the victim, is perfectly acceptable.
My favourite scene of a series of many great scenes, will always be when Buffy finds out Spike acquired his soul. That dark church scene makes me cry a river of tears every time.

I literally haven't stopped crying since the, "Mommy?" scene. That was one of the hardest episodes to watch of any show I've ever watched. Closely followed by "I love you" to Willow by Xander after she turned evil.
oh man- watching this reminded me of how obsessed I was with this show back in the day!- I only missed watching ONE episode of the entire series on tv- and even that one I got my friend to tape it for me so I could watch it when I got home!
One of my favourite moments is the episode where Buffy sends Angel to hell and he says " so that's it huh? no weapons, no friends, no hope! take all that away and what's left?"
Buffy: "ME!"
and proceeds to kick his ass!- such a powerful and inspiring moment and concept, that was also incredibly sad at the same time!
I love how Buffy addressed serious real world issues in almost every episode but wrapped it all up in fantasy and magic etc!
I liked that. I loved how this was (relatively) spoiler free

Awesome selection. My only quibbles are not using the alley scene in Fool for Love and not using "Bored Now" for Villains. But overall a great job of picking out a variety of important/funny moments from the show.
That line of Oz - part of me wishes Buffy had ended right there, surviving high school, what it was originally all about. And then done a Spike or Faith spinoff instead.

I cried four times watching this: When Oz left/broke up with Willow, Buffy's Mom died, Buffy dies and when Xander saves Willow. The ONE scene that made me LOL was when Buffy had the bazooka pointed at Principal Wood and Spike stops her..all the while that elevator music plays! PS: There's a show called Suits that was on USA Network. Jasmine, Principal Wood and Fred are characters on that show. It was SUCH a treat to see them together! THANK YOU so much for this beautiful video.

I always wish they had used her being a "key" as a thing. Like she could have had a tiny magic power of being able to open things! Not big enough to change major storylines, but at least not completely forgetting the fact that she's an actual mystical being inside her teenage skin.
