- あまりにもweb上に情報が少ないので、ざっくりした演奏でご紹介します。
1994年発売の初代WAVEDRUM ”WD1” の全プリセットです。
全プリセットとはいえピッチやディケイをはじめとした各種パラメーターは必要に応じて変えており、またヘッドやスティックによっても音は変わります。そもそもここで鳴っているのはヘッドやリムに配置されたセンサーやピックアップからの情報がDSP処理された音で、後継機種のようにPCMは採用されていません。ある意味でとても生楽器に近い楽器だと思います。ちなみに外部のエフェクトは使っていません。
この動画ではプリセットを10ずつ動かして演奏しています。これに関しては理由があるのですがご覧いただければ何となく分かるかと。このあたりの設計が非常に面白い。

Holy shit dude, not sure if you’re aware but Danny Carey the drummer of TOOL has used one of these in his setup since the mid 90s

@@luckyyjp Oops, that's what I meant! If course it was super expensive (probably still is!) and the Wavedrum Global is pretty good. I had the silver Wavedrum (2nd gen). It was also okay, but had a very low output/noisy.
I've owned two of the newer models, they're just not as cool as the WD1, very similar but I can't quite put my finger on what's missing from the new ones that makes them less cool.

The newer models are good instruments, but they are very different from WD1.
Thanks for sharing. There were no videos of this model playing the samples and I was curious to hear them since I own a Wavedrum Global Edition. Most of the samples sound familiar. I'm also jealous of your pedal, I think mine doesn't have an option to add one.

Original version has no PCM sounds. All sounds made by digital processing. Amazing product...
is that drum head some type of rubber? i’d love to get one like that for my own if that’s the case just so the impact is quieter.

I'll be selling mine soon. Bought new from Manny's (NY) in the late 90's (110V power). With its original mount and an RE1 controller. The WD-1 is in very good condition but I need to make some room... I'm located in Paris, France.
