In my opinion this is more expressive, responsive, sensitive than any acoustic percussion we have played so far.
It's a game changer.
Now the player can have much more control on the sound than any time before.

Totally agree with your opinion, the algorithms in these Wavedrums are generating new textures each time I play them.
I have the Wavedrum X and just added the Global Edition which is even more amazing.

FUNtasic...but sometimes 2 hits on the same position = 2 different sounds.
That is a feature, not a bug. It can be programmed that way.
I have on. I love it but I don’t like that almost every patch has a metallic ring to it.
Hey, cool demo! Question. Do you know the main differences between this one and the Global version? Does the global version have only more sounds? Or is the hardware also improved?
the global editions the one t go for! it builds on the oriental versions presets adding some 50 or so extra sounds and plenty more algorythms to create with. they fixed the low volume output problem, youll actually have to turn it right down now!
the expressive sensors are more sensitive now so your hands will thank you!

Can It trigger Volca drum via midi?
It is not a midi instrument. But it is like that on purpose: it has 3 pick ups and that is why it sounds so realistic. There are other pride pads. This is great for live performances.
Can you provide details on head type and sensitivity settings? Mine is no where near that responsive right now.
I think everything was set to its default value, no changes was made.

All internal. Direct recording, no processing of any kind.
Hello I have bought the last wavedrum and I have a problem with the skin. Now I want to change it. Can you tell me what kind of skin REMO you have put and what setting is necessary. Thank you very much
I wanted to know the same thing. Only black 6" Remo I can find is the Emperor Black Suede. I've seen mention of the ES000600 Ebony Ambassador, but it's not listed on Remo's site. EDIT: the Ebony Ambassador is still there. Search for Ebony Ambassador - leave the size out and it shows up.
Any 10" Remo head/skin will do the trick.
I'm using a 10" Ambassador Fiberskyn it works great.

I think is plastic edges right, so will crack and break
I’ve seen a bunch of people play it with sticks, seems strong enough, but I wouldn’t hit like it’s a crash cymbal
Yeah every version of the Wavedrum can be played with sticks as well. The edges are built to hold up to rimshots and the nubs on the sides can get used like a güiro for different sounds. You just have to switch from hand mode to stick mode otherwise the sensitivity is too high.

Nope. It has all the patches of the oriental plus 50 other programs
I was moving around & needed space & so I sold my global,
I miss it , I like the black one . & yes you are right it's so expressive , it turns heads on the gigs . I'm mostly keyboards & I like looping , this is perfect . I also made my own stand, 3 lengths of thick bamboo tube , bound together 2/3rds way up , opens up , like a tripod & I made a fabric seat with pockets for each leg . The drum sits on firmly & there is room to play all way around . I better get another drum next year .
The biggest issue is the poor sensitivity.
Compared to what? Definitely more sensitive than anything else I played on.
@@parkmedia I bought one a few weeks ago and went into Global to adjust the sensitivity, and it doesn't really help. It's either damaged or does not work. well enough. The sensitivity of the control is not great - at all.
I think IT could be an aging foam. Common issue with used drumpads. Needs replacement.
Only people who don't actively play instruments make difference between artificial and "really acoustic" instuments. Sorry, sir.
