During African Colonialism, Ethiopia was one of the targeted country by Fascist Italy. During this time, there were ‘few’ people history remembers them saying “BANDA” which mean an Ethiopian who fights back Ethiopian alongside with Fascist Army🤔. The good thing was that , Fascist army was defeated by honest Ethiopian braves and “BANDA” like you were became ashamed 😂😅.
I flew to Addis back in January and had an excellent experince with this Airline. The beautiful Stewardess were very attentive and the 3 meals they provided were delicious!

Having the most passengers, planes and destinations are all the reason why it’s important to have your maintenance and hygiene operations grow WITH your business. It’s nothing personal. ET just needs to work on these points. They have a very diverse fleet of aircraft which is blessing and a curse as you can use the right plane on the right route, but it means you have to maintain all different types with thousands of spare part, etc.

I think it is quite an unfair video rant since this is not the experience I have had of Ethiopian airline. I had pleasant experience and most people I know who took the airline report a good experience.

There are no TSA employees in Ethiopia. TSA is a US organisation. Not sure walking under the wing is actually strictly prohibited but it strongly discouraged by airline employees and is not a good idea as it is not uncommon for oil to drip from the wing onto people's clothing. It has actually happened to me. Personally I think that they were out of order requiring the certificate as you had only transited without leaving the airport. What happened in the end? Did you manage to enter Kenya or were you removed to ? I have never personally flown with ET but in years gone by they had a good reputation.

I took 4 flights with Ethiopian last year, I liked them all, just the food wasn´t great and on one of the flights, the overhead storage was broken. I´d choose Ethiopian Airlines again though :)
Regarding the denied entry: I went to Tanzania and there the vaccination was also only recuired when you came from a high-risk country. However, my stay In Addis was considered not long enough (I think it was like 5 hours) and I was able to enter Tanzania without a vaccination. Maybe it´s different in Kenya though

In January 2024 I flew with Ethiopian in economy from London to Victoria Falls and then back to London from Bulawayo, and I found the opposite to you. The internal African flights were fine - both being on 737-Max aircraft. The food was great and no problem with the interiors. The long haul out and back to London were horrendous. Food was terrible on both legs - the breakfast into London was a so called omelette, which was so hard it would bounce - the only time I have not eaten airline food. As a family (with 2 kids - 15 & 12) we flew with them in December 2019 from London to Entebbe, and the food was good, but their reallocation of booked and confirmed seating on the ADD-LHR leg was not so good - we were spread randomly throughout the cabin - which after a fair bit of complaining we managed to get my wife and children in one row together - but only once on board the aircraft. Another issue was that the bags arrived a day late in Entebbe - we were told that this was a common occurrence. I will never fly with them again unless they are the ONLY airline flying to where I want to go.
I have flown in ET900 from Lagos to India and trust me Ethiopian airline is one of the bad airline i ever flown. they don't care for passenger's comfort. I missed my connection flight at their Bole international airport due to flight deled from Lagos Nigeria and trust me me and my family had a such a bad treatment and received a worst arrangement from Ethiopian airline. one of the 3rd class hotels to stay, horrible food to eat, No internet for whole of the time of stay and its disconnected us from our family on top of that they changed our destination airport from one to another. i swear i never had such a horrible experience from any of the airline so far. #DONT FLY EITHOPIANAIRLINE#
The airline is OK. I had a layover in Addis which was also ok. Binoculars are not allowed in Ethiopia - you have to leave them at baggage reclaim during your stay. Security is also at a very high level, cigarette lighters are confiscated at hotels
Bro couldn’t stop complaining about everything. When he finally said something positive, like 'The pillow is amazing,' I was surprised and thought, 'Wow, there’s something positive!' But then he immediately added, 'Maybe they forgot it from the previous flight.' At that point, I just gave up-it feels like he finds something negative in everything. I've witnessed unhelpful airport staff being rude to African passengers. And don't even get me started with the theft;I have three colleagues who had their luggage stolen. For me i am Ethiopian, and realy appreciate the findings/faults/ and other things on flight. Ethiopian should improve every complients by counter checking on the ground on particular flights where the passengers complain. I think thsres silly mistakes are latter on grown and you will reach to ignor big faults/misallinement/broken parts etc. Smiling and history is not enough. There has to be accountability for each problems that passengers comment. I am sure there are staffs who suppose to repair broken/malfunctioning customer service materials. So, Ethiopian should act on it and appreciate the passenger for his comment (as long as the findings are genuine).
I flew Ethiopian very frequently and never experience this stuff you just said. Ethiopian airline is and always will be one of the biggest best airliner in Africa. You must be paid by one of those airlines who want to give Ethiopian airline a bad picture.

I have been flying Ethiopian Airlines for over 15 years now, I have flown to Europe, America, Middle East and pacific regions. 99% of my flights were excellent. Nothing is perfect with every Airlines, however, your dismissal of the whole experience with just one off incident is not only unfair but also biased in every aspect! Ethiopian is by far the best in Africa and keeps shining despite your recommendations!

What an awful experience, with the vaccine saga. I have used ET a few times but with little hitches. The water leakage experience was not good, I hope ET gets that resolved and fast. Addis Abeba, Ethiopia is eight thousand feet above sea level, it is not an ideal place for yellow fever as yellow fever affects warm and low land areas. The Kenyan authorities have no reason to consider Addis Abeba as "high risk".

I feel Ethiopian wants to retire their 777s soon although they haven't made mention of it. But it obvious especially with more orders of the a350s and 777x. Maybe the plans to retire these aircrafts gives them no reason to maintain it as it might be a waste of money. Just saying.

I flew from Gaborone Botswana to London via ADIS Ababa December 2023. This an over 5 hr flight, with no entertainment. The food was the worst airline I had ever tasted and on arrival in the UK was sick with food poisoning for three days. When the crew had served the meal, mine was ice cold rice and sloppy chicken they went and slept in the business class area. A flight never to be repeated. I sent a complaint to Ethiopian Airways needless to say no reply. I sent an e mail to the airline manager in Gaborone. No reply
I Booked a flight round trip Japan-Brazil in August. But I am really concerned If I will survive . The only thing that I remember about this company is the tragedy in 2019

it is an intention of degrading the airline. despite the very low economic growth of the country the airline is our pride with many awards from international organizations, of course it may have limitations but if your you tube channel is the flight focused one your video should have been the corrective one but not the fault finding one.
As an Ethiopian I can certainly agree the quality of the Airline has gone down, especially relative to what I consider a golden age in Ethiopian aviation during the 2000s and 2010s. Having said that though the airline has gone through the lot over the course of the countries history so I have no doubt that it has the capacity to bounce back. I flew them from Cape Town South Africa to Athens via Addis Ababa, and it was the worst! The food is terrible, and the flight was 2 hours delayed coming in Cape Town South Africa.

I had a pretty mediocre flight on Ethiopian Airlines in economy on a Fifth Freedom route from SIN-KUL on a Dreamliner. Seems like they're pretty hit or miss, but I'm guessing that they put more effort into their long-haul flights than short haul.
I've had so many good experience flying in Ethiopian. How many times did you fly on this airline? I really had a very awful flight on Lufthansa once but also had a good experience on another. Maybe depends on the situation. Why would skytrack ranks EA number one in Africa? there are several other categories like arriving on time, cleanliness . . . Ethiopia has been in the top 5 in all of them.

I've witnessed unhelpful airport staff being rude to African passengers. And don't even get me started with the theft;I have three colleagues who had their luggage stolen. They have the largest airline in Africa, but something is going on with them. Stay away for now.

For me i am Ethiopian, and realy appreciate the findings/faults/ and other things on flight. Ethiopian should improve every complients by counter checking on the ground on particular flights where the passengers complain. I think thsres silly mistakes are latter on grown and you will reach to ignor big faults/misallinement/broken parts etc. Smiling and history is not enough. There has to be accountability for each problems that passengers comment. I am sure there are staffs who suppose to repair broken/malfunctioning customer service materials. So, Ethiopian should act on it and appreciate the passenger for his comment (as long as the findings are genuine).

I have been flying Ethiopian Airlines for over 15 years now, I have flown to Europe, America, Middle East and pacific regions. 99% of my flights were excellent. Nothing is perfect with every Airlines, however, your dismissal of the whole experience with just one off incident is not only unfair but also biased in every aspect! Ethiopian is by far the best in Africa and keeps shining despite your recommendations!

What an awful experience, with the vaccine saga. I have used ET a few times but with little hitches. The water leakage experience was not good, I hope ET gets that resolved and fast. Addis Abeba, Ethiopia is eight thousand feet above sea level, it is not an ideal place for yellow fever as yellow fever affects warm and low land areas. The Kenyan authorities have no reason to consider Addis Abeba as "high risk".

I feel Ethiopian wants to retire their 777s soon although they haven't made mention of it. But it obvious especially with more orders of the a350s and 777x. Maybe the plans to retire these aircrafts gives them no reason to maintain it as it might be a waste of money. Just saying.

I flew from Gaborone Botswana to London via ADIS Ababa December 2023. This an over 5 hr flight, with no entertainment. The food was the worst airline I had ever tasted and on arrival in the UK was sick with food poisoning for three days. When the crew had served the meal, mine was ice cold rice and sloppy chicken they went and slept in the business class area. A flight never to be repeated. I sent a complaint to Ethiopian Airways needless to say no reply. I sent an e mail to the airline manager in Gaborone. No reply

As an Ethiopian I can certainly agree the quality of the Airline has gone down, especially relative to what I consider a golden age in Ethiopian aviation during the 2000s and 2010s. Having said that though the airline has gone through the lot over the course of the countries history so I have no doubt that it has the capacity to bounce back. I hope they see your video and address your criticisms, thanks for flying with our carrier!

I flew them from Cape Town South Africa to Athens via Addis Ababa, and it was the worst! The food is terrible, and the flight was 2 hours delayed coming in Cape Town South Africa.

I had a pretty mediocre flight on Ethiopian Airlines in economy on a Fifth Freedom route from SIN-KUL on a Dreamliner. Seems like they're pretty hit or miss, but I'm guessing that they put more effort into their long-haul flights than short haul.

I've had so many good experience flying in Ethiopian. How many times did you fly on this airline? I really had a very awful flight on Lufthansa once but also had a good experience on another. Maybe depends on the situation. Why would skytrack ranks EA number one in Africa? there are several other categories like arriving on time, cleanliness . . . Ethiopia has been in the top 5 in all of them.
It's my second flight on them (first was from Doha to ADD). Probably on their intercontinental they offer a better product.
