We filmed the day we picked up Shelby the macaw and bought her home so you guys could join in and share our love and excitement. It was a fab day, she had a wonderful owner/breeder before we got her and we couldn't be happier. Bringing home a baby blue and gold macaw is exciting and nerve wracking but we hope to now be able to share some blue and gold macaw training tips with you from now on, as well as how to live with a macaw, the best set up for a baby macaw, how to care for a parrot and many more informational pieces. I see you have cat & dog. Please wash hands after touching your other pets... Saliva from them is bad for parrots, if they lick you hands and your bird gets in contact with it. Remember to supervise your car & dog around parrot. She looks to young to be away from parents or breeder.

@@skyeandme271 We had the choice between a male and female and chose a female because we heard they CAN be more affectionate. But that may not always be true of course. In reality there is hardly any difference at all

@6:25 birds are very intelligent, and every bird has a different taste like humans. You should have first find out which is her favourite nut? Shelby may not have liked the nuts itself that why not interested in it.
The bird must've really enjoyed the site of your dirty laundry next to the dog's food🧐
OMG.... Not the way I'd go about introducing a baby macaw to a cat and dog. That poor bird! It doesn't seem safe. Birds and Cats and dogs don't alway get along. Be safe or you will LOSE that beautiful baby macaw!
I watched a lot of movies. You let the parrot walk on you. Do not push against the parrot to get him on your finger.
