Dude, after years I suddenly started thinking about your channel and when I search for your channel, you've just uploaded a video three minutes ago. If that's not divine intervention I don't know what that is (probably just chance, but I'm just gonna pretend, lol).
don't worry, that's exactly how Jeremiah communicates with his audience, he'll disappear for months and then somehow summon them just in time for the next video 🤣 i also hadn't watched anything on yt for more than 5 months due to studies and this notif was the first i saw, i think he's cursed his audience into a purgatory 🥲
You're part of my childhood. You part of my inspiration to create, which in turn creates avenues for people to discover their own potential. I say this not to gloat, but to tell you you're part of why I was able to run a fundraiser for a couple friends to prevent their homelessness. You instill the idea that things are possible starting with solely a VHS camera and an idea. You're part of why I started drawing again. I don't know how you view your channel, or your creative worth, but you're worth every part of the good I may have done with this "Poppa Boi" schtick. I couldn't have gotten into TH-cam and found my love for art without finding your videos. Cheers Jeremiah, here's to another decade. Thanks for being a part of my life. I appreciate it.
just letting you know I watched the original video when I was like 10, and proceeded to leave myself a "tape to the future". I wonder how many other kids you influenced to do the same! (I'm 18 now)
i have to admit, i remember seeing that 20th anniversary video about 2 years ago and i thought it was amazing, no wonder it blew up, but this, this was genuine and i loved it as well, this is definitely better than an actual 30th anniversary i think would do, so props to you on makiing something the algorithm works with, because it brung a lot of people a laugh, and genuinely this was quite enjoyable, so from a nobody on the internet, thank you
I just discovered your interview with your 12 year-old self, which then led me to this 1. I thought that it was brilliant. What foresight you had as a young man, to create the 12 year-old portion of it, when you were 12. That's amazing, & you were adorable. Well, I guess as we all were, back then. I look @ childhood pix of myself, & realize how adorable I was, back then, too. Then I look in the mirror. "Ahh! What happened???" 😫 Anyways, I'm glad that you didn't try to remake it for this video. I liked the clips from the original, hearing some of the back story behind it, & how it blew up. The interview was my favourite. Of course. But this 1 turned out pretty good, too. I'm glad that you found love, finally. I'm still waiting for mine. I wish you to live long & prosper, my friend. Sorry, I'm not into The Who. But I am, obviously, a Star Trek Greek! Don't ever change.
As someone who’s been following you since that “TH-cam is my Life” video was featured on the front page, it’s been a fun ride. And I’m still looking forward to more #content.
You're such a breath of fresh air, intelligence, creativity and humour in this these depressing times of sheer stupidity...I just want to hug you for some reason...thanks Jeremiah!!
Long time lover of ‘that’ video. This one came in the wake of my own recent ADHD journey. Very much looking forward to what comes next. More importantly, I wish you well in your personal life.
You NEVER suck! You are a brilliant genius. And how interesting it was to know about your adult ADHD diagnose, burnout... and procrastination... the hardship in doing things... the simpler of things... to simply create... even the things you (we) love the most. Right? Gosh! How I always related myself to that themes! I always did... and I was never diagnosed with ADHD... not even burnout... but I probably am like you... at already 44... and without the faintest idea of what to do... and whom to be. 4 years ago, a certain CBD oil, with a certain dosage, at a certain time (during 15 days) shown me joy and that I could do and be whoever I wanted to be, and live without any negative thoughts, just 100% proactive and 0% anxiety, the anxiety I never thought I had because I never felt differently. 15 days it was. I almost read 2 books! To me that's surreal... until it all ran out. Happy days! I hope you find joy like I did... with whatever the sh*t that we have. Take care, man
You’re one of the original videos that got me into making videos for myself, partially for my future self to look back on. So thank for that- whatever it may mean to you and Roy
*Jeremiah changes the music a few times in 10 seconds then says* "I have ADHD" Yeah, that's for sure haha. What you should do is record a bunch of video acting like you are making a 30th anniversary, then in 10-20 years, you can make a 40th/50th anniversary where you talk to your past self(now self) and convince him to not make a 30th anniversary. Which would lead to this video.
Absolutely beautiful video! Murray Gold's "The Madman With A Box" fits perfectly :D You are a very insightful creator and I totally understand why there doesn't need to be a 30th anniversary. All the best to you!
Jeremiah, to this day I'm still amazed of the effort you put on your videos, the film references and your ability to tell stories, thanks for still uploading, it's great to see you every once in a while! Sorry for the algorithm problems you've been having *sigh*
Really interesting back story! It’s such a clever video and definitely one of the very few that’s stuck with me (and millions of others), so you should feel proud of that. I don’t think there’s a need to do another, like you said. Better to end on a high and focus your efforts on something you actually enjoy. Best of luck with the future 😃
In many ways, this was a better treat than a 30th anniversary re-shoot. I was just diagnosed with ADHD myself, which I'm still learning to manage, as well as keeping in mind it's okay to say no to creative projects if I feel too burned out. I'm slowly learning how to be a healthier creative individual, and have also met someone super supportive I hope to spend the rest of my life with :) I'm glad to hear life has blessed you with happiness too. Never stop doing what you love, and at the pace that's right for you.
you have an amazing sense of humor! i actually laughed out loud a couple of times and htat is pretty good for someone who gets sad alot. (don't worry, its under control) so thank you thank you and don't stop doing what you do!
Always a pleasure to support you in patreon. Keep up the amazing work. Go algorithm go. Make this guy um in the top whatever that is for you page, organic reach brand awareness, viral fashionable word choice here.
Bro found love - that was the one part of that video I was hoping would change later on - I’m happy to hear it did. Jeremiah, hope you and your wife are living your best lives! 🙏
How did i just now notice this? This is way better than a rehash of the same video. Thank you so much for this, Jeremiah... hoping you are doing well these days :) (Btw I just started watching Dr. Who again the other day, beginning with Eccleston. I honestly don't know why I ever stopped, lol)
I think you underestimate how viral wholesome videos can get on TH-cam. Doing another video after 10 years where you’re much happier and settled, sharing all your best life experiences to your younger self would really get a lot of views
You caught lightning in a bottle with your Talking to your 12 yr old self video. Do as many or as few videos as you feel like, it's your channel. I've enjoyed your content since discovering it. Hope you still doodle Roy now and then just for fun and old times sake. Best wishes on your future endeavours.
Honestly when I see the "Conversation with 12 year old self" it's nostalgic in a way. I just remember watching it the first couple times.. and then the next thousand times and still finding it as funny as the first time. Seriously you made a goddamn masterpiece thank you so much and fuck it I'm gonna go watch it again and again for the rest of the night.
Do what you enjoy, you'll bring your talent in anything; this was very well edited, and gave a lot of backstory I didn't know I wanted. ALSO "TH-cam IS MY LIFE" STILL POPS IN MY HEAD FROM TIME TO TIME THANKS JEREMIAH! THANKS FOR MAKING A CATCHY TUNE! THAT'S GONNA HAUNT ME TILL THE REST OF MY DAYS! 😡 In all seriousness: I'm glad you're doing well in life. Take care of yourself. Sending love from Italy 💟
Thanks for showing us how things were really like for you behind the scenes. Things weren't as neat and simple as they seemed; the mess and burnout after suddenly becoming viral is real. But I'm happy your path led to a loving relationship, and that you also got to know yourself better. I hope to learn from your experiences. Just want to say you've been an inspiration to me ever since I first saw your 2012 video, and got introduced to your other stuff here. Thank you very much for your work and honesty.
I was digging through the 10-year-old section of my favorites and found the old video, which led me to find this one. I don't have a lot to say except, uh, thanks. For the two videos.
I've been here since church of blow, and your content is always fascinating and interesting. No matter what it is you do, I look forward to where you go next.
Fantastic video Jeremiah, been following you for years. I obviously found you through the conversation video but since then went through and watched the catalog of other videos you have. As a fellow aspiring artist it was cool to see all of the stuff you've made, I'm especially a big fan of "A Lot of Loss". Keep doing what you're doing man, excited to see what your future holds!
This documentary is better than any sequel you could make! Like any great performer, you believe your work should end at it's peak, before it dips in quality, and to keep people wanting more! That's how to do it! I'm so glad to hear you're happily married and in a better place 10 years on! That warms my heart, man. Thank you for creating one of TH-cam's most iconic and creative videos that will be remembered for decades to come! Take care :)
VERY happy you found someone nice. It makes a huge difference to have someone solidly on your team. The content is, as usual, funny but somehow very personal and relatable. Cheers
This was an incredibly captivating retrospective video. Your editing style and narrative ability are absolutely stellar and always have been. If only creating things was easy for all of us, and we can just summon willpower, motivation or inspiration out of thin air. Thank you for making this video and talking some of the struggles you had with procrastination and burnout. Those points really resonated with me, and I wish you the best of luck with your future projects and endeavors. You (don't) suck.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I almost cried when you said that many of us have our own "Roys"... I imagined myself right now watching my 12 year old self learning how to play the guitar and dreaming on having a rock band :´) Quarantine made me reconnect with that dream, I started a musical project that I was "saving for later", a project that I don´t give all the time I want to because of work and studies, but I refuse to abandon... Now there´s a few hours left before this day is over, so I will spend some time with my own "Roy" 🖤 I´m peruvian, so maybe my english is not perfect, please excuse that!
Don't worry, Jeremiah, I've watched everything you've ever uploaded many times and am always excited for whatever you have planned next. I randomly stumbled across your viral video sometime after you had already quit, probably sometime in 2015, but I subscribed anyways in the hope that you'd return one day. Then in 2016, you came back with your "Quick Hello" video and I haven't stopped watching since. I don't want a remake of an already perfect video. I want whatever next you have in mind. You're a natural entertainer, Jeremiah and I adore everything you do. Whether you choose to make more videos about what you're passionate about or if you never upload again, thank you for all the laughs over the years.
Using Nicholas Courtney from 30 Years in the TARDIS is really very clever, I love those documentaries :P Your mountain of Doctor Who stuff in the 2012 video always made me smile
Beautiful story, thank you for sharing all that with everyone. I know you have your challenges, but your honesty about it is what makes it resonate with everybody. I hope you can find peace with it all. Btw I found this from the Jazz Dialogue video. I show it every year to my jazz history students. Really great job with that. It's a great video.
The hunger for sequels, part twos and anniversary specials is what might be the only bane of every artists existence. Having success seems to provide the artist with everything BUT happiness. Do the thing everybody asked for and you'll be a greedy crapbasket who's just milking their old evergreens for a quick buck. Do something new and everyone screams: We didn't ask for this! Ironically enough the pursuit of success will not lead to fullfilment but emptiness. You did the absolut right thing. You created something with a pure intent and out of love for the art. Now that this thing is done you moved on. I fully support you on your new endeavours. Whatever they may be. Best of luck! PS: I'm pretty sure in ten years time TH-cam will be flooded with "A conversation with my (insert age at 2012) year old self", because with 33M views you inevitably have inspired a ton of future creators. You know what they say: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
After dragging a bag of shit your way the last time I commented, I'm more than a little hesitant. But not about the quality of your channel and your videos. THAT, I'm confident, is correct. You've got a really good sense of humour that comes through, rather than being kind of self consciously clever. The best part is that out of all of it, you and your wife found each other. May your happiness continue!
Do whatever makes you happy. You definitely got passion. We’re just here for the ride. Whether we enjoy it or not doesn’t matter because TH-cam was originally about broadcasting yourself.
I just watched the original video today, for the first time. I sent it to my family group chat and my mom said “That’s really cool. You could literally do this at any age too.” Iconic video, no need for a sequel. Love how unapologetic you are, keep doing you king
This was a delight to watch, I don't think we're connected on FB anymore but I've known you and followed your stuff since the IMDb FG days and I'm always happy to see where you're at and how you're doing and this was a really sweet reminder of what a wild journey you've been on.
I actually just went through and re-watched my favorite videos and series of yours, wondering when you were gonna upload again, and then I saw this vid pop up in my subscriptions!! Genuinely the most excited I've been to see a new video there in what feels like months. Also I love the inclusion of Lana's "Video Games" :)
Yo dude, Iv only watched like five of your videos, the ones about this topic and I hope you and your wife are doing well. And I wish you luck in life. And thanks for making all of us laugh
What a great video. I always thought the original (I’m not referring to the 2006 version although that one’s good too lol) was awesome, I can’t believe that video is 10 years old now. I remember watching it sometime after it went big. It was a great concept and clearly everyone else thought it was great too. Anyways, glad your doing a lot better since then. Hope you continue to make videos that you enjoy making.
I just remembered that video and searched for your channel. The original video resonated a lot with me back in the day (and evidently it did with a lot of other people too). It's very interesting to learn how it has impacted your life. Congratulations to your beautiful wife! Last year I found a letter that I had written to my future self as a teen. Unfortunately it only made me cringe. Most of the things that teen me expected me to accomplish are still on my to-do list or long abandoned, and it frustrated me. But the letter also mentioned my best friend from that time, someone who was once very close to me and who had supported me through some very hard times. After more than 15 years, I'm in contact with her again now. So my past self, as cringy as she was, at least inspired me to find an old friend.
Dang, i was 10 when your video popped off. I must've seen or passed by it when i was younger because it seemed familiar when it just appeared in my feed a few minutes ago.
Loved the video, it's a great story and a much better update than any remake could ever be. I have to ask what's the soundtrack at 11:10? It sound very familiar but I cannot place it
There’s too much positivity in these comments.
Nice
the last video was very cool i didnt understand how u made reactions to stuff you didnt know when you were 12
we gotta give some negativity, YOU SUCK / j
Uhhh
You suck!
8 years left for the 40th anniversary!
🎉
😊
This is BETTER than a 30th anniversary
Real
ngl the adhd diagnosis makes you understand yourself so much more its amazing
Dude, after years I suddenly started thinking about your channel and when I search for your channel, you've just uploaded a video three minutes ago. If that's not divine intervention I don't know what that is (probably just chance, but I'm just gonna pretend, lol).
don't worry, that's exactly how Jeremiah communicates with his audience, he'll disappear for months and then somehow summon them just in time for the next video 🤣 i also hadn't watched anything on yt for more than 5 months due to studies and this notif was the first i saw, i think he's cursed his audience into a purgatory 🥲
it is serendipity.
Nice pfp
Theres no way that 12 year old kid is a 40 year old man near his middle ages now. Time flies so fast
Ever heard of “aging”?
What’s that 😮
You're part of my childhood.
I’m overwhelmed and gratified. Thank you for writing that.
just letting you know I watched the original video when I was like 10, and proceeded to leave myself a "tape to the future". I wonder how many other kids you influenced to do the same! (I'm 18 now)
omg this would be amazing if there are a bunch of tribute videos that all come out :)
i watched this when i was 11, made a video for when i turned 15 when i was 12. turning 15 in 3 days, gonna make one for when i'm 18 then.
@@dogmania2892happy birthday to you! I turned 15 in June 1st.
@dogmania2892 happy birthday
@@dogmania289212 to 15 is only 3 years lol
i'm amazed that that was 11 years ago. it feels like yesterday. But seriously, man. You've got this. I believe in you!!
The most underrated genius of an artist that is you Jeremiah ! I love it
i have to admit, i remember seeing that 20th anniversary video about 2 years ago and i thought it was amazing, no wonder it blew up, but this, this was genuine and i loved it as well, this is definitely better than an actual 30th anniversary i think would do, so props to you on makiing something the algorithm works with, because it brung a lot of people a laugh, and genuinely this was quite enjoyable, so from a nobody on the internet, thank you

Your sequel was insanely brilliant tbh. Laughed my arse off at "I need you for content!"
I just discovered your interview with your 12 year-old self, which then led me to this 1. I thought that it was brilliant. What foresight you had as a young man, to create the 12 year-old portion of it, when you were 12.

You have consistently been my favorite TH-camr since I was 12 way back in 2006. Im 28 now and I still enjoy ALL of your content.
Long time lover of ‘that’ video. This one came in the wake of my own recent ADHD journey. Very much looking forward to what comes next. More importantly, I wish you well in your personal life.
I was one of the lucky recipients of one of your drawings back in the day! And I also got diagnosed with ADHD after a whole year of no distractions!

The video is done professionally, the content is everywhere, you can shoot anything when you can make videos so beautifully.
Thank you for existing and sharing your content, man. I love it.
Thanks for the closure. Still will support no matter what

VERY happy you found someone nice. It makes a huge difference to have someone solidly on your team.

I remember the original. This was a wonderful retrospective. Great job, now, and then.

Honestly this is the most wholesome story I've heard in a long time, I couldn't be happier for you
40th anniversary gonna be so heartwarming 🥹
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Authentic, funny, entertaining. I’m glad you got married. You have a gift for storytelling and flow.
I just watched the original video today, for the first time.
I sent it to my family group chat and my mom said “That’s really cool. You could literally do this at any age too.”
Iconic video, no need for a sequel.
Dude, you're an amazing artist.
He's back for anticipation!
Dude, this is the most relaxing youtube vid i ever watch! especially the editing, story and the voice. Continue your youtube career my friend
time flies jeez. 2012 was so long ago now
I actually just went through and re-watched my favorite videos and series of yours, wondering when you were gonna upload again, and then I saw this vid pop up in my subscriptions!! Genuinely the most excited I've been to see a new video there in what feels like months. Also I love the inclusion of Lana's "Video Games" :)
Just found the 20th anniversary vid today, and now I'm here. I think you might be algorithmed right now
It's always good to see you ! :D

Yo dude, Iv only watched like five of your videos, the ones about this topic and I hope you and your wife are doing well. And I wish you luck in life. And thanks for making all of us laugh
Great video! Loved the first one and really love this one. Your honesty is what makes it great.
the first vid was my childhood, great to see an update a decade later
What a great video. I always thought the original (I’m not referring to the 2006 version although that one’s good too lol) was awesome, I can’t believe that video is 10 years old now. I remember watching it sometime after it went big. It was a great concept and clearly everyone else thought it was great too. Anyways, glad your doing a lot better since then. Hope you continue to make videos that you enjoy making.
This is awesome! Can't wait for the 40th anniversary. 😄
Just watched the original again. It still stands up. So cool to see how this came together :)
The animation was very fluid! Beautiful!

TH-cam Is My Life is literally an immortal youtube classic
Dang, i was 10 when your video popped off. I must've seen or passed by it when i was younger because it seemed familiar when it just appeared in my feed a few minutes ago.
A masterpiece does not need to be made a second time
I love your creativity and pure talent. Wish you the best.
Loved the video, it's a great story and a much better update than any remake could ever be. I have to ask what's the soundtrack at 11:10? It sound very familiar but I cannot place it
It's from Doctor Who. Murray Gold's Mad Man With a Box.
