Haven't played Elite in years, but so happy to hear those logs again. Hey, if you do a video about the Thetis, do look in the forums for a Cannon report about it by Commander M.Volgrand. The players did amazing things about that one :)
So, uh, you mention the "Demeter" and how people were eating each other. Hmmm, kinda' reminds me of the doomed ship in Dracula... Vampires in space anyone?? As a matter of fact, what if some of those Thargoids are some kind of "Space Bat"?
awesome, i wonder why frontier doesn't use these amazing stories for more structured in-game events that can bring variety to the gameplay, i know these recordings are in-game but you have to go into the codex to read or listen to the recordings, there isn't some sort of little story behind some quest that leads you to discover them for yourself through gameplay. really a shame, because something like this would have completely rejuvenated the gameloop
Im pretty sure there were most of the times some in game story that lead folks to discover them but yea, most of story stuff like that happens in real time in elite so if you experience them later its just not that much immersive anymore
@@cmdrHeliaxx yes and also they're doing in game events really few times per year. i play since this last january and i never saw or heard anything like that, but i have "only" a couple of hundreds of hours in so maybe i miss something. i know there are something this month but i don't really understand if it's just a skin for the aspx or sum else
@@golem_videomaking well, there are community goals - in these we usually contribute towards some kind of goals, be it new stations being built, AX weaponry being tested and put in place, dunding some magaship's journey or stuff like that, in several occasions players also had the ability to influence the game's actual biggest story direction, if they decided differently those years abo maybe now the story would be at some totally different point, its very likely we have chsoe this all out war with goids. Besides CGs there are also sometimes just occasional treasure hunts or other mysteries being revealed and players being able to visit new places often related to some of the old story elements - I would suggest you maybe look into stuff like Inra, Azimuth Biochemicals, Project Seraph, Black Flight etc. But admittedly yea, the frequency of this kind of stuff dropping has definitely already lowered, they no doubt have much smaller team on Elite at this point than they used to during the Horizons and Beyond Era
@@cmdrHeliaxx I didn't know this, i regret not having started playing sooner 🥲. i'll definitely watch more lore content, maybe while farming sum materials. see you in void cmdr, o7

Somewhere, I've got a list of several Generation Ship names & locations. One of my eventual goals is to visit all discovered Generation Ships
its on the E:D Wiki! dont worry, they have an entire list of them. just be careful, they contain spoilers!

oh yes i know why, f1 manager is more than 80% of frontier's financial income, while elite wasn't even mentioned in the latest reports...
