The perfection usually presented in your videos are top notch but I can honestly say I do love seeing the struggle and the imperfections within the process a bit more. Keep up the damn thing man
Sick with the transfer tape. Had a guy show something similar just by using clear tape 😎 watching your videos keeps me motivated to get a manual of my own ! Great video Lee 🏆🏆🏆
Always extremely appreciate the realness and showing you're not perfect. Getting better by learning from mistakes is key. Look into OneStroke ELT series inks for opacity. We love them.
Seeing your design we've got this little Frankenstein popup kinder egg suprise toy or something like that at my warehousing job in front of the computer, reminds me of myself in my metaphorical rebirth I'm aloiiive
Your clamp/spreader idea on the side of the screen frame is greatness. I'm stealing that one. Oh, and I do use your LS Sig Squeeg w/ 80 and 90 dur material with a push stroke. Great for clearing thicker inks. And Ryonet DOES need to make you a "MINI" version in a 6-8". Good stuff bro! Keep it up!
I printed with the Vivid Neon Green last week. It was 3 shirts so I didn’t make an underbase. I had to flash 3 times and put down 4 hits using a 156 thin thread screen. Definitely using an underbase next time
Yo Lee, I’ve used clear packing tape as my clear film for base layer registrations like that. Every shop has packing tape, it’s also way cheaper, and a thinner material so you’re closer to the base you’re lining up too as well. Ol Florida Print Shop tricks 💪🏼
Saw your branding labels. What printing platform do you use? I currently use DTF, it is starting to be tedious cause we operate with Apple and Epson has to perform two individual prints to achieve the DTF print. On a windows the rip software has been updated to achieve this in one print job.
Great vid as always! I used Wilflex Super Flourescent Yellow (230) on a Quick White (160) base not too long ago and was surprised by the opacity, looked great. Might be worth looking into if you ever need that colour again.
I was surprised to hear about stencil drag! I think there are only a handful of videos on youtube that cover this "problem". It can be a real nightmare when dealing with inks of different viscosities on the same print... I print automotive parts where I have to be 0.1mm accurate and all of them are backlit so there is no room for error. stencil drag is one of the biggest problems in my screen printing art
You made me feel bad about using films to register my screens lol. To be honest I usually nail it first try using my films. I might give this registration technique shot to see how it works out.
Is it okay that I’m registering my first screen to the film taped on the pallet? And then using your method of clear vinyl transfer tape. Or is there a better method that doesn’t involve a PRU system?
@Lee Stuart I truly didn't know you hated making that content. You made awesome content and were really quite inspiring. Please don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see you kicking ass now. The apparel stuff is just over my head lol.
Dude, that transfer tape trick is mind blowing
yeah that is a very nice trick.
Try it with some clear packing tape, it’s a game changer in Setups 💪🏼

Always gotta keep it real 👍🏻
Awesome to see someone else using the transfer tape. Changed the game for me about 4 years ago. So damn helpful! Rad to see the colab bro! 🤟
Been using that since day one, works like a charm 👌🏻
WHOA! that neon pops right off the top!
It came out so dope
Sick with the transfer tape. Had a guy show something similar just by using clear tape 😎 watching your videos keeps me motivated to get a manual of my own ! Great video Lee 🏆🏆🏆
Yup I've seen people use packing tape and it works, this is just faster and more efficient
You nailed it with the neon/safty color issue. So relatable. 👍
I need to line up a video to test all the neons out there

Haven't tried one stroke yet but I'd like to give it a shot

I'm quite sure that Union makes opaque neons.
Y’all look so cute together!
😂😂😂
Great video. Thanks for showing the ups and downs we all go through.
Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Holy smokes are those dispensers sharp - definitely nicked myself pretty good before. Nice video fellas!
They're insane! Might as well have been made for cutting leather belts instead of tape
Super cool video with 2 big influences! Good shit guys!
Hell ya! 🤘🏻
Union Maxopake line has some neon colors that are more opaque.
I tried the yellow, it wasn't great. I have some new stuff here from a few other brands to try out. I'm determined to find one that I like haha
@@leestuart38 Gotcha…yeah the lighter colors are more problematic in the opacity department. Love your content by the way!!
That design and color combo is dope!
Thanks! Stoked on this one
You should visit philippines if you want to see best of the best silkscreen printers.
The FaceTime with Zach had me😂

Hopefully we can make that mini one happen 🤘🏻
Dope vid man!
Thanks homie!

Never skip the underbase

Packing tape works too, this is just way faster and more efficient. I plan on making a video about this to cover both
Add your video are very inspirational keep it up. All your tips are useful. Hopefully soon I could get into the screen printing

Might have to check that out. Quick white is my standard white in here 👍🏻
Learned a lot from this channel! My Bushiso tee is crooked AF tho. 😢
for chest prints, i used scotch tape in my thai reg screen line table press.. happy printing dude
That works, so does packing tape. This is definitely a lot more efficient
@@leestuart38 try hitting the reg. marks only not the whole design, save some inks.. great vid btw, waiting for more dude..
im from the PH avid fan , been wonderin' what happened to the water based video .
You are still our hero.
Try heating the pallettape before removing. We do a couple of rounds of preheat and in a removing the tape is a breeze.
Normally I do. It was just funny to watch Rich pull it off in pieces 😂
Great content as always Lee, you need you create more weekly content, especially on the Roland! 😊
I plan to be back to weekly content in the new year now that all the problems in the new shop are clearing up
Had to order one of these bad boys. Thanks bro!
Thanks!
How do you like the Monarch Stark White and Vivid inks? Thinking of switching to them. Testing now.
Haven't really tried them yet. A first test video is something I'm planning so I'm waiting for that
Always look forward to your videos. Where did you purchase the pallet tape dispenser and roller?
That's an action engineering product
What kind of tape do you use on the shirt side of the screen to block out your registration marks?
I was surprised to hear about stencil drag! I think there are only a handful of videos on youtube that cover this "problem". It's an issue that doesn't get covered enough. I think I need to make a video diving deeper into it
BEEN SO HYPED FOR THIS VIDEO!! 💪🏽😮💨🖤🏴☠️
Turned out dope. Got another one in the works to back this up 🤘🏻
You made me feel bad about using films to register my screens lol. To be honest I usually nail it first try using my films. I might give this registration technique shot to see how it works out.
Films can't account for screen tension, that's the only problem with it to me.
Where do you buy your blank apparel sir ?
0:56 where can I get that roller at ?
Action engineering
Simple yet awesome good stuff guys Yo did you go to the lorna shore aborted angel maker show it was dope
I didn't, was too busy working
@@leestuart38 dam know doubt keep it up bro 🤘🤘
13 SECONDS IN... THAT MOTION GRAPHICS INTRO IS SICKKKK brb gotta watch the rest
Always stepping up the game 🤘🏻
"Fucking up is what i'm doing". HAHAHAHA loving ❤ this video man, can't wait for the other vids to come online.👍
The next one should be pretty good 👍🏻
I always loved how you always have a mindset to create everything with high standards… BTW, what mesh do you use for your underbase? Is it 110?
156 for bases. I almost never use 110's here
@@leestuart38 Thank you Sir! May you continue to be blessed!!!
Why wouldnt you jist hit the neon yellow twice?
No matter how many times you hit a transparent ink, it will remain transparent. Plus it's highly inefficient and creates an unnecessary thick print
Try willflex neons
I have some, they're actually worse
Cool video
Lee, what device do you use for tha pallet mask? Here’s a fight to the put it on! Thank you Bro!
That's meant for the auto but it kinda works on the manual press with some work. It's from action engineering
@@leestuart38 Where can i get one? I already have almost everything you use!
Is it okay that I’m registering my first screen to the film taped on the pallet? And then using your method of clear vinyl transfer tape. Or is there a better method that doesn’t involve a PRU system?
There's no need to register your first screen at all. Line it up straight to your pallet tape lines and away you go 👍🏻
Great video!
Thanks man 👊🏻
Printer video? Did you change to all black ink?
No need to go all black with epson, the ultrachrome inks are already uv blocking.
Love these videos, no one is perfect and in this industry we all fuck up sometimes ahahahaha
You got that right
Today's episode was brought to you by the letter FVCK! Right Lee? awesome looking print.
😂😂😂
Have you ever tried union ink?
Only the white.
@@leestuart38 their neons are actually pretty nice and opaque

Hola!
😍
Yes, Neons now suck. Used to be much better.
I can't believe anyone registers a print any other way........
I was told by a guy who came here to "train" me that they burn through 10+ test shirts on every job. No fucking thanks 😂😂😂
Neon Ink sucks. It used to be better
I've yet to find a good one. There is a new one on the way from FN so fingers crossed it doesn't suck too
