Thanks for putting such detailed information and examples in the videos. Super helpful! I'm just wondering about the aliasing I'm seeing in parts of the videos. Is there a way to reduce that?
+Mark Groening yes there is some aliasing but I wouldn't know exactly how to fix that. Maybe by reducing sharpness in the picture profile but I doubt it can solve the problem.
great review, love these features for the reasonable price, well below the price of the GX8, but I'm holding out and praying Olympus has an upgrade for the Pen EP5, would like the GX8 but I'm hooked on the art filters from Olympus, love the tuffness that the GX8 would have, but I have about 4 Olympus lens', come on Olympus a larger Pen to compete with the Panasonic GX8, waiting on a review on how Olympus lens' perform on a GX8, with the stabilization, with my Pen EP5 had the Live Composite, I pretty sure this new OMD EM10 has it.
If you are in video mode and press the OK button, you can scroll vertically until you get to the movie settings, then if you scroll horizontally on one these settings you can change the frame rate by pressing the info button.
Thank you so much Matt, I also have the silver EM 1 and this silver EM 5 I just got it 2 weeks ago, (still cannot mimic the gears) Olympus need's to simplified their menu if there is E M 1 II coming, this time will be black for me. And if this E M 1 II coming will have the same menu system, Fuji XT II will be it. My regards to you all...
Great review. Best m4/3 camera yet. FINALLY a fully articulating screen from Oly!
I know this review is a year old but it has helped me in my decision to buy an E-M5 II. Thank you.
While I am a fan of reading reviews, I do like good, thoughtful videos as well.
Not a fan of background music though. :-)
Thanks, Mathieu.

Thanks for the review, I think I will need a third camera soon.

Thanx for a great review!
i want to use the live view screen, not view finder what would be the setting
Hi
EM5 the original does not allow you to have Multiple exposures ( for HDR ) and timer so in mark 2 did they solve this problem
There is HDR and AE bracketing, and also an HDR function that work in JPG only
Hi Mathieu, How did you get to to the frame rate setting? Mine was the 2.2 firmware (m5-II) thanks.

Great review - would you chose this over the sony 6500 ?
Depends what you need to do. The E-M5 II has more choice of lenses, the a6500 has better video and faster focusing.
great review sir
Hi,
what is the lense you use during the night shoots ?
Great review, thanks !
Antarès Pictoris It's the 12-40mm 2.8

Does the EM5 II use the same lenses as the EM1?
tkarlmann it can use any micro four thirds lenses.
