    I’m so glad I traveled to see this show! Unlike the first one, this one has a theme that carries through the entire show. Each segment capturing the pivotal moments when the characters decide to make a change. Deciding to be true to themselves, deciding to face their past, deciding to make a stand. All it takes is one moment. Then having the stories resolve at the end, showing how each action affects everyone around them, connected the whole show! Having it end with Mulan questioning herself and her decisions, Moana finding her faith and becoming a hero, and ending with all the heroes who made a change. Really clever! Also, this video doesn’t do it justice but there are some insane technical achievements with the water and lasers. Some of the things they did with the water, projections, and lights, I didn’t even know it was possible since I was so used to seeing the old world of color!!
    Edit: Also, Ive been rewatching this nonstop and I just realized that the Star Wars sequence ends with Luke isolated because of his mistakes then transitions to Simba choosing to go back to face them. This show is so crazy

      @@Soodomoomoo Good point! I think maybe because it was such an open theme that it felt like they put a collage of random moments into the show. ONE’s theme was specific in a way that I could understand why they were choosing those specific moments.

    There are actually three versions of the song, titled “Start a Wave,” that were made.
    0:58- The main version is played at the beginning of World of Color: One, features the voice talent of Loren Allred (‘Never Enough’ in 20th Century Studios’ “The Greatest Showman”).
    Another was produced by Disney which acts as a “pop version” of the song played at the end of the show as exit music.
    An additional version was produced by Cody Fry himself and was the demo he sent to Disney and now acts as a music single that is available to stream and buy today

    It is as Beautiful as you can see in the teaser. The soundtrack is very Heartfelt. I can tell the Imagineers worked very hard on this and I give them my respect.

    This show is visually and musically stunning with so much meaning. WOC has never been about showcasing 100 years of Disney, nor should it be. The Soul piece was one of the best parts. Marvel was a show stopper moment. Moana on the boat (which you couldn't really see here) reaching out to the water was breathtaking. They could/should do an entire Star Wars version. This is one of my fav shows. Not a fan of fireworks so I always prefer WOC. Thx for filming it!

I loved the Soul and Mulan parts since they highlight the soundtracks of both movies and the Encanto part for highlighting the soundtrack and "Waiting on a Miracle" and lastly, the Moana section for executing "I am Moana" better than Enchantment. The Marvel section starting with Falcon's "on your left" gave me goosebumps. I especially love the opening theme by Cody Fry and Loren Allred! To those of you who don't like the show, follow the shows message and start a wave and do something about it. I will tell you why the show is getting hate. This is for the 100th anniversary of the Disney company. And all of it was more modern stuff, nothing earlier than the mid-90s. Not a SINGLE sequence of something that Walt himself actually had a thing to do with! He didn't even touch any of this stuff. People want nostalgia, not just new stuff, ESPECIALLY when celebrating a full century of work. The vast majority of this show was not even fully Disney, it was Pixar and Lucasfilm and Marvel. Where was Snow White, the original animated feature? Or ANY princess, for that matter? Where was Mickey Mouse? Where was Oswald? Where was ANYTHING that Walt had a hand in, and where was the history?
      For a basic show, this was fine. For the 100th anniversary, this was highly disappointing and way too modern-centric.

    @josephm5353 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Thanks so much for the hard work WDWNT does to bring this to their fans. You do give a true perspective and report on every aspect of Disney.
    Other than being completely diverse and inclusive, other than Walt, the show seems very disjointed and hardly any meaning towards the 100 years of Wonder. Pretty much all of the segments are from the past 30 years, where's the history from the first 70 years or so? You would think that something from the early days of the company should have been included.
    I was very pleased with Wonderous Journeys where there was a much better show reflecting upon more of the animated classics that shaped the Walt Disney company.

    If this were a generic new World of Color show, I'd say it's amazing. But how does this show celebrate 100 Years of Disney? It's basically "Walt Disney Presents: Stuff From After I Died: ON WATER!" Don't get me wrong; I love Pixar, I love Star Wars, I love Marvel. But why are these properties that Disney purchased representeded over anything Disney themselves did before 1994? No Fantasia, no Snow White, no Cinderella, nothing showcasing the parks, and none of the Sensational Six. And when you conisder that the original show has "The Old Mill" in it of all things, that's sad, in my opinion. Like I said, on it's own, great new show. As a celebration of Disney's 100 Years, not so good.

      While I find this show so bland and boring especially the beginning. I find this argument to rather pointless. Disney Animation got a show to themselves at Disneyland (and rightfully so they’ve needed one for years now). You’re complaining about this show being about purchases since 2006. Well whether you like it or not, they are part of the 100 year anniversary. And they are just as important as is the original animation studio and parks.
      Look at WB: some of MGM, Hanna Barbera, DC Comics, and HBO were purchases and yet they’ve been stitched into the history of the WB. But you don’t like that Disney puts Marvel and Star Wars in their celebration just because.

    • @imthewalrus2379
      @imthewalrus2379 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@aquapyro1 If you’d read what I said, I didn’t say I had a problem with the purchased properties being included. I said I had a problem of them being included over anything prior to 1994. The show was touted as celebrating 100 Years of the Disney company. But it’s ignoring 70 of those years! And again, I didn’t bring up just animated films. I mentioned there was no mention of the parks/resorts. And I could add television and live action movies to that too. You could have had segments highlighting things from different eras/departments. Instead what they gave us is another clip show featuring the same Disney/Pixar properties that they only seem to push with a little Marvel and Star Wars worked in. And the Walt bits just seemed like they were tacked on because someone thought that would suffice to make it about the anniversary.

      Maybe someone will be disappointed to see no Disney films shown before 1994 appeared in WOC: One. Instead, all Disney Animation prior to 1994 were appeared at Wondrous Journeys, which received critical acclaim.

The theme song is beautiful, the choice of characters make sense (Pocahontas was the ONE to unite the people, mirabel was the ONE to lead the family, Joe was the ONE to inspire others). Because they felt that Disney had not included any films made before 1994, even Disney didn't bring Oswald into the WOC: One, which will really special if he is included because it's the first character made by Walt.
      Yet, Wondrous Journeys finally takes the advantage that not used by WOC: One, where Wondrous has showcasing every films from Walt Disney Animation Studios. However, this show still no Oswald on it.

    World of Reimagine Tomorrow is definitely souless as its primary purpose-- rehashing classics for the modern, incoherent plot-hole storylines, followed by promoting purchased IPs, showcasing legacy characters who are to be replaced by modernized, self-insert characters.
    I find it lacking there are none of the LGBTXYZ characters in these lukewarm performances-- then again, many families attending are not living in Twitter, not a big source of income!
    How long until Walt's speech will be replaced with their current modern slogan?
