Ok, let's do it.
We can clearly see that there's a lot of advancement in this one. You see, they added Mickey and Snow White right at the beginning. They put their heart into this show. The projections are incredible and the fireworks, in addition to matching the narrative, are very well synchronized.
It's surreal to see the Blue Fairy and Baymax, but I missed Tinkerbell, especially at the end. I'm very happy that this is a Disney show with the heart and the magic we're used to see.
It's infinitely ahead of what they did at Disney's Enchantment at WDW.
Is amazing mickey and snow white where the beginning of an legacy it make sense

The fact this show touches so many people via TH-cam makes me wonder how much more glorious it is in person!

My wife and I were there Night one! It was unbelievable! We have no words 😂❤️
It is jaw dropping. Amazing. I was there on the 27th and it was backed up all the way to the railroad. I suggest dropping any dinner reservations or fast pass reservations to watch this show. Incredible.
I saw it on the 28th and so many people didn't want to leave cause there was a good portion of the crowd crying taking it in. Since this has a bit of every Disney movie, it hits everyone. Especially seeing it on mainstreet you get the projections on the buildings and you really feel immersed.
I’m a CM at Disneyland and it gave me chills. We had a lot of people in tears.
The Immortals and Dos Oruguitas are my favorite segments in the show!🤩

Fact. From a technical point of view, Enchantment is superior to Happily Ever After. It just doesn’t hit the same. There are some parts of Enchantment like “Almost There” from “The Princess & the Frog” that I hope are included in the revamped HEA.

The Blue Fairy, Sleeping Beauty, and Winnie the Pooh parts were pure magic!
I'm actually happy to seeing Disney dedicating a show that actually delves a bit towards some of Disney's animated features from the past to now. Even having some pretty deep cuts like Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, even Home on the Range & Chicken Little. Some are sorta blink and you miss type of deal. But they weren't kidding about this celebrate almost every of the Walt Disney Animation Studios films in some capacity.
Personally, I find this show better than World of Color - ONE out of the two that came out in terms of night-time shows. ONE's fine, but in all honestly.. it's not as strong as the original World of Color.
Where’d you see the Atlantis part? I’ve been rewatching over and over trying to find it
Where was Brother Bear?
@@auroralights70 It wasn't shown in this view, but it was for other areas within the park showing off Wondorous Journeys.
Mainly Rivers of America (where Fantasmic would usually play) and outside of the It's a Small World building.
Where was the Chicken Little?
@@foxpresso It was shown during the scene with the Blue Fairy appearing via "When You Wish Upon A Star". Near the end of the scene on the bottom right, a clip of Chicken Little appears when he's looking up to the sky.
When they added hunchback, treasure planet, and Atlantis I screamed 😭
Too much to unpack.
1) 0:54 Old school Mickey, Donald, and Goofy with old school Disneyland art. Nice starter.
2) 1:41 Yen Sid conjuring up that butterfly is the perfect pyro buildup.
3) 1:57 This shows how much they wanted this to work. Concept art, storyboarding, and all the animated pieces to bring Sorcerer Mickey together.
4) 3:13 Blue Fairy = Dark horse. I think we can accept that for a lack of Tink this go-round.
5) 3:45 We’re never gonna get a better “I Want” medley than this.
6) 8:29 FLYING BAYMAX WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE.
7) 9:31 THE FREAKIN’ OLD MILL. That’s a deep cut.
8) 10:49 See what happens, Enchantment, when you get an original voice track? A bit more emotional impact.
9) 12:38 I’ve pictured Sorcerer Mickey calling the pyro for so long. I can’t help but tear up on that the most.
10) 13:07 I feel you, Pooh. (We need a chuckle with our finale every once in a while)
If Happily Ever After wasn’t coming back, I’d be pissed Disneyland showed us up again. That said… we have officially found the rightful HEA companion and DLForever successor. (Just wish it was longer)

Actually, she is. Next time you watch it (if they bring it back), watch from Main Street - I actually did right by Crystal Arcade. As the Casita sequence climaxes, you’ll see Mickey and the rest of the gang circle the facade.
That was absolutely incredible! I had tears in my eyes again! This show made me smile, laugh, and cry. It brought out so many emotions like a Disney Fireworks Show should do! It really dose feel to me that Disney is starting to make a come back. If this is the start of 2023 I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings.

This show definitely passes the "chills test"!! A very complete, well-crafted show ... Makes me feel like Happily Ever After does... Maybe even more since it's so fresh!

When they did the song at D23 I wasn’t over the moon- it sounds like the genre of happy indie music I love but it didn’t stand out. I’m the context of the show though, it’s lovely! I’m really impressed with this show.
I was there last night for the show and still remember the roar of excitement when Baymax started flying over the castle. The show was amazing!

disneyland always seems to get the best fireworks shows. the disneyworld fireworks are always just fine, but at disneyland they always seem to be more playful, stylish and innovative.
Projection mapping has IMPROVED!!

I missed the musical mashups, the heavy symphonic instrumentals. lately they will go thru an entire song. This is what I remember and wish Disney World would go back to this. Christopher Robin being a part of the show was genius.

Just read in another comment that WJ was created by the same team that brought us Happily Ever After. If true, it makes sense, as this uses the same types of emotional triggers that HEA employs. As it's Disneyland, I'll let the "hip" theme song slide...guess I'm showing my age. (Don't get me wrong, I like it-but maybe would have loved it if it had "soared" a bit more.) Great to see a production that isn't just a copy and paste of IP. Reminds me how much I look forward to HEA returning to Magic Kingdom. Really like this show a lot.
HEA teams also create Momentous at Hong Kong Disneyland. Both shows are outsourced by Mousetrappe (now Medici Media), but not sure about Wondrous Journeys whether they're outsourced by Medici Media or created the projection internally.

Wow, what an incredible show! The only negative is the horrendous amount of light pollution on the left side of the castle that totally backlit the fly-rig and overpowered most of the lighting effects on that side.
I like Enchantment, but if a show like this had replaced Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, people would not have lost their minds.

Does anyone know which movie the windmills from, at around 9:34? My first thought was “When Marnie Was There” before remembering Disney doesn’t distribute Ghibli films anymore, but I can’t for the life of me remember what Disney movie had that windmill!
It’s from the Oscar-winning short, The Old Mill, which was an experimental short that used their multi-plane camera that the studio would later use in Snow White.

Can someone tell me there were references of "The Aristocats", "The Black Cauldron", "The Fox and the Hound", "The Great Mouse Detective", "Brother Bear", "Dinosaur", "Meet the Robinsons", "Strange World" and "Wish" in this show as well? I didn't catch them and I really wish they aren't the only ones that were left out.
I saw "Strange World" in a different pov on Main Street during the finale, also I'm 99.9% sure that the girl at 13:26 is from Wish because the narrator was talking about what comes next.
