Platinum. Metal of the future!
I too am bullish on Platinum .
I still if my memory is correct platinum at one point was higher than gold
for less than a year
yeah, it was ALWAYS higher than gold until recently history

Yes, right after the Oct. 2008 W. Bush Leahman domino collapse & merger of BoA- Merrill, JP-Chase, JP-Stearns, the bailout and the FED taking 25% of each +Wells Fargo, Goldman, Citi & a fee others S, African mines were without A/C power for the 4 mile deep mines and Pt blew over 2000. Gold did not, almost, but 1960 - 1980 per oz. I wasn't born. 🐣
Platinum has historically been more valuable than gold. The price spike in 2008 was an anomalous blow off top which led to lower platinum prices as palladium supplanted platinum as the ICE catalyst of choice in gasoline engines(not diesel), but prior to that an ounce of platinum was typically more expensive than an ounce of gold.
Platinum looks like the best buy in a long time.
Hey hey so’s palladium atm 😂🎉❤ lower than plat atm and was higher at its top too
Platinum has been the best deal lately.Platinum for the win!👍
Flatinum more like.
@@RocketScientist1still better than fiat notes 🎉😂❤
@@JFEnterprize A fly turd is better than fiat, but platinum isn’t realistic to use as money.
@@RocketScientist1 so you think that's cute ?? What grade are you in.??

I just get my first platinum coin, I decided because the price of gold is to high and I want to stack some platinum. Thanks for another great video Sal!👍🏻💪🏻
I dont own gold or platinum yet but I feel like im going to stack platinum more than gold.
Smart idea when the historical ratios are so out of whack. If the ratio reverts to the historic mean (about 1.5 ounces of gold to 1 ounce of platinum) you will be sitting pretty! I expect platinum to hit parity with gold when the prices are closer and possibly north of 3000 per oz! Platinum historically likes to play catch up and overshoot in a big way in times like these!
Love platinum: Most undervalued pm, much rarer than gold or silver; difficult to fake, and least likely to be confiscated in the future.
I just added to my stack also!
SMART
Go Platinum!
I have a 1 ounce Englehard platinum bar… I treasure Morgan’s, cc’s,and Englehard PM’s…
Stack on.
Most undervalued and more rare than gold and silver? What’s not to love! 👍 😎🐂
Losing its use case.
@@RocketScientist1 They said that about silver when digital cameras came along too.
Objectively, silver is the most undervalued metal.

Beautiful platinum specimens there! Thanks for showing them on your channel. Best of luck!
Platinum should double, but silver will likely shoot to a 3x or 4x however it will come back to the 40s. In my opinion, they will both double in the long run. Hopefully silver moves first so I can sell and buy gold and platinum.
I’ve heard from many gold and silver folks to stay away from platinum. It’s industrial. It’s too volitile - like palladium. Remember when palladium was like 3 k? Then dropped to like 900. The bottom line is- if you mess with platinum, be patient and wait the market out.
At this point in history I think all metals are worth buying, but beware of the swings.
thats becuase they dont have any to sell you but they have tons of silver and gold for sale. smarten up!
There rare. I have palladium and plat , I like the coins
LOL Yep. Occasionally the uneducated would make fun of me for buying up palladium ballerina coins back in the day. I made about 4x on those and swapped the proceeds into platinum back in 2021.
Good point, but a stacker wouldn’t worry about volatility. We buy to put on the stack and hold long-term. The only people who should be concerned about volatility are the speculators.
Yep. Long term. 10 years out
S.D. Bullion, is a very good choice to buy Platinum…1oz bars are the best for the price…🎉
I always compare prices for whatever I am looking to buy on Bold Precious Metal, Hero Bullion, Monument Metal, JM Bullion and SD bullion. Lowest costs wins.
So wild how platinum is so much more rare than gold but…lower price. Guess people forgot about it.
Nobody forgot about Platinum.
Its always demand what dictate the price...
At the moment Platinum market demand its small, that explains why its so cheap...
I have 11 ozt of platinum. I do not like the taxes and premium so I never bought much after that initial eleven ounces. I will probably buy one or maybe two more ounces for a bakers dozen.
I like it's storage to value ratio being closer to gold than silver.
Platinum continues to surprise. 🎉
Buy low sell high…you can’t go wrong with that mind set
Crushed the like button! EXCELLENT video and thank you so much for sharing!
The list of things to “invest” or to store wealth in knows no bounds. Still interesting to know Sal. Thank you for your continued work to educate.
Well I see lots of people standing behind platinum. I am thinking about the times for when I have to barter my precious metals and most people don’t know of platinum or just aren’t interested. In a sale later to a market to profit just isn’t in my plans. Maybe later after I have more of the other stuff.
Not much of an issue at a local coin shop. They know precisely what platinum is and I've had zero trouble swapping gold and silver for platinum at historically low ratios. Platinum : Gold is 0.4271 just now. Absolute insanity when platinum was for decades more valuable than gold...as it should be given its scarcity above ground.
I think platinum prices have been stagnant for the most part. 😢
Congratulations 🎊 on the pamp!
#AG AND #Pt -- the shiny white metals! Stack it!
That’s the thing about metals, which includes Platinum, that are used for industrial applications. They tend to be manipulated. Silver and platinum are great for preserving wealth.
All commodity prices are manipulated. Goes with the territory when spot price is arrived at by futures market derivative contracts(which is absolutely insane). Agree though the most manipulated metals prices are silver and platinum.
Slowly been building my Pt stack with my gold and silver. I’m actually pretty even on Pt and gold. About 2 oz each
ive got my platinum from MENÉ jewelry company. not the cheapest form of platinum but i love it.
I Have been Leary of platinum , However I might Just throw my hat into that game. Good video.
I agree with the cautious optimism. I think platinum is a great diversification from other metals. I think my core stack will stay gold and silver as you stated.

Picked up a 2024 platinum maple on friday. Would be cool if costco would start offering platinum eagles or maples
Platinum eagles are no longer in production…Costco won’t be selling platinum eagles
Enjoy all your videos! Thanks 🙏
I just got my first Pamp Pt bar too! I agree with you, platinum would appear the best value out there.
This is a brave position to take Sal. I expect nothing less of you.
how is the truth brave??????
@@JR-pj8pz the truth in this case remains to be seen. Platinum has performed horribly since I’ve been buying PM over the last 8 years. To say it will change course now takes courage I think. We’ll see I guess.
Platinum like silver in the UK comes with 20% vat which makes stacking these metals far more risky. The price would have to skyrocket to break even on some of these pieces in the UK. Gold is the much better option as it is vat free.
Hope you’re feeling a bit better. Enjoy your channel 🐞
So just buy platinum on your holiday and sell it for 20% profit back home.
yeah but you'll be able to recoup some or most of that tax when you go to sell, if you sell it peer to peer because buyers will still be getting a better deal buying from you than from a bullion dealer
We don’t have it that bad but my state doesn’t undo tax of platinum as they would with gold or silver over $1000 😢
I enjoy adding a bit of Platinum in my stack here and there.
I do believe Platinum will have its day in the sun 🌞 once more.
Cheers 🍾 🍾 Sal.

Platinum COT Report Friday looked the most bullish for a buy as the Small Speculators were short an the Commercials were net long
Gotta satisfy that itch for sure. 👍🏻
I've never heard a reasonable counter argument to the sound advice that everyone who wants to diversity their asset *store-of-wealth* should strongly consider diversifying some cash into Platinum.
👍 👍 👍 I too am bullish on Platinum.......... it's not a matter of if Platinum will rise high, but rather when it will.
Pump The Platinum-LOL I only have 2/3 of a Troy oz.was not able to find another 1/3 for a good price>>>
You can get 1/4 OZ for 350$ at money metals
I prefer Hummel figures to crypto and platinum. They are RARE and limited production 🤩
I still have to get my toes wet with a platinum coin .
Sal says: "Platinum is not for everyone!" They say the same thing about my doberman's, but I wouldn't trade them for anything - platinum either.
I love platinum.❤
Important question for the community. I have a Down payment ready to buy a house. Now doesn’t seem like a good time to buy a house. Should I buy silver or metals with that down payment money? Or store in a high interest savings account, leave it in treasury yields, fidelity? Just curious I don’t want that money to be worthless or gone in 8 months but also not sure the process when the time would come to buy a house and sell a boatload of metals. Thanks!
It's not a good time to hold cash. Banks will take metals (they see that as money), if that is your concern.
@@__3800 yes thank you! I will keep withdrawing to buy metals. God bless!
The majority of platinum is mined in South Africa and Russia a higher price would reward BRICS. The system doesn’t like that. Unlimited pixels to the rescue.
With GOLD/PLAT = 2.57 last week, it is the highest in the history. PLAT is waaaaay undervalued. 100% agree with your analysis Sal.
RIGHT!
Yup. Bought some at that low point
Platinium and also Palladium ... same industrial application
Platinum black sheep of metals right now,but I really like Platinum. Out of curiosity what is your goal of ozs to stack of Platinum. My preference is 1 Oz silver eagles.
i think a few hundred ounces should be everyones goal
Thx sal. Nice video. And interesting info. U Rock Doc. 👍👀🖖👻🤘😎🎸🎶

Very good video gracias
My last buy was an ounce of platinum. But the next one will be some gold. The platinum was for the collection, i'm not stacking it on the speculation it's going to catch up with gold and silver's rise (although that would be an each way play, gold might pull back from it's overshoot bringing silver with it and so platinum will have just stayed where the price should be for an unloved step child of the precious metal family, well until they decide to fomo it for some margin action.).
I bought gold last night but almost got platinum. This morning when I woke up I noticed it went up like $39-$40. Dang.
To much weight in Ag???
Hit the ratio lows and convert to Pt. Keep in mind Pt has stiff premiums are are appied post ratio conversion. Usually +60 ish in my recent experience.
Platinum to silver ratio will likely hit 28-01…at this point, it would be wise to trade silver for platinum…I already started this trade…but at 28-01, I will have considerably less silver and considerably more platinum…I stick to Platinum Eagles and nobles primarily
Neil!? where are youuuuuuu 🎉😂
Whassup Sal? 🤘
Platinum is strange. It has key industrial applications but most of these currently have cheaper alternatives in trials, likely to be completed just as the ‘Platinum wake up’ caused by lack of supply kicks in. I have about 10% of my precious metals in platinum; I’m not planning on increasing that any time soon. Similarly with Palladium, although that’s only about a 3% holding for me.

I bought mine at its high in 2007 I think I paid $1600 for the two PC set half oz each So it would have to hit $1.600 an oz for me to break even! I will be waiting for a long time I think LOL

any advantage of platinum coin over platinum bar? i could save some premium buying Pt bar
Yes, U.S. Mint American eagle platinum coins (the 1 oz. coins give the best value) are always better than generic bars. Bar's can be faked, since dimensions and weight are not exact! You will pay a premium for currency (dollar value) coins; but, you will get it back when you sell, and selling will be much easier than bars.

Ditto 🐣
I like platinum too but not sure hydrogen will take off, there are a lot of other technologies that will come to compete but we actually need them all for the coming cold cycle coming in 2032. We do not now have an adequate energy grid for what is coming but I believe more inventions will come about including some that big elites are sitting on without sharing. I have a few pieces of jewelry, yes i like the feel of it too.
Agreed. It has unique properties so it will always find a use as long as we live in this shitty computer/internet technology age.

Silver just detonated down to $26.60!!! 💥 🤸🏻

Why are premiums so high on platinum and in many cases higher than gold?
Ooh pamp nice
why not palladium ? most rare prec. metal ?
Already have some. Palladium likely to still fall in price
substantially cheaper than gold, drastically lighter than silver. my only fear is that it becomes obsolete. that's the only thing keeping me from buying it.

The Constitution says only gold and silver can be used as money. Don't waste your time on platinum

Platinum for the lose, the other monetary nonmonetary metal.
It was a currency for 300 years in Russia
“Low blood prsure,” I like that handle.
Shhhhhhh it’s a secret 😶🌫️💨🚀
I think it’s going to be a sleeper nobody talks about it and then boom it’s going to explode
Platinum? More like flatinum.

I thought EVs only had fake exhausts and exhaust noises so the people who drive them feel like they're in a real car? A lot of people are getting excited by Tesla but all I can see is higher lows and a bear market. We haven't seen the worst of this terrible Biden economy yet. Platinum and Palladium will both do well after the markets really tank and we have a jobs president back in the White House. Once the economy gets going again and we return to normal I think the demand will be for petrol (gasoline) and diesel vehicles, not EVs. All precious metals will drop when the markets crash but for gold and silver it will probably be from a higher level. We might have a few black swan events this year.
I wish I had you're enthusiasm.
Maybe one day. I'm still not sure about spending money on that ! I Need to look more at its price history. It just doesn't draw my eye like Silver and Gold or Copper for that matter. 👍
I've been unloading a little silver lately on the spike to buy more platinum. At a ratio of silver to platinum ratio of 33:1 it's hard to pass up right now!
For the youtube algorithm 😎👍 #DCAandCHILL
My understanding of platinum is that it's an awesome diversifier but, it may be not a great metal to stack unless you're at a certain point in stacking silver and gold... otherwise it's highly advised against newer stackers to start stacking Platinum instead of gold and silver due to increase risk.... me personally I see it as an opportunity to stack a little bit of platinum but not too much, but it all has to do upon economic conditions in the future or whenever it is you would like to cash in on your investment... how do you see a future for it but that future is blurred by tensions between countries and other mischievous Behavior in governments and such, but who knows... If it was me and I was a new stacker I w make sure I have a few months of living expenses, my silver & gold stack was at least 75% to my minimum goal (side note to newer stackers - most people shoot for 300 - 500ozt silver and 5 to 10 ozt goal and 3 months living /emg fund) then and only then do most people (or so the data shows) consider branching out into other precious metals or even other things like art, collectibles, and Rolex is even.. 😂... Anyways just food for thought
Oh, now, it’s platinum’s turn. To be the most undervalued asset on the planet!! OK “got it!! When is it leads turn?? BWA HA HAHA HA HAHAHA HAHA
Tomorrow

I'm saving my money to buy more silver and gold when it drops like it is doing this morning. However, if platinum and palladium goes to ~$875 before hand, I'll be buying them.
