Anya is so smart, genuinely smart, but she still has the mind and motivations of a 5 year old. They didn't give her an adult inner monologue. She hears all these things but it is still filtered though a 5 year old's brain. and it is wonderful.
As the manga progresses (on season 2 probably) she becomes even smarter, to the point of helping both parents without them ever knowing and handling the situation on her own

Awesome concept to making YT channel! I am certain it will work! When it comes to WHEN Spy X Family is set it definatly past the 1950s however NOT as late as the late 1970s... I would say it is set it the mid-late 1960s or early 1970s! Also did you catch that Anya faked her age to get out of there? She is actually 4 years old which is good to keep in mind as the series progresses!

Love your reactions. and you are spot on about the setting. I took a close look for dates on like the newspapers in the manga and it is not clear but it is definitely set in the 60. I think 1961-62. and that tracks with the cars, furniture and clothing. It also matches the social norms displayed, men wearing hats outside, pressure for women to get married and otherwise seemingly archaic attitudes. Also it is obvious that Loid is a James Bond type character and the classic Sean Connery Bond movies were released and set in the 60s. Dr. No, the first Bond movie, was released in England in 1962.
The setting was inspired by Germany in the Cold War era, where it was still divided in East and West Germany. Also the cars were modeled after real cars that were common in Germany at that time.

Also Another (yes Another is it’s name), Eureka Seven (great aesthetic from the time in aaall areas you won’t find today🥹), Konosuba and Tomo-chan. They’re all amazing and a good diverse mix.👌🏼

I disagree, I dislike when the youtubers comment while the video is still playing. This causes them to miss some important conversational detail, or funny moments
Actually you wouldn't address your dad as "chichi" when talking _to_ him, that's a word you would use when talking _about_ him. The correct way of addressing your father directly would be "otousan". Kids in Japan usually confuse that only when they're really young, a sign that Anya still has a very immature and childish mind (she's actually younger that she said, she lied so that she would get adopted)
