Being right handed and reeling with your left is where it's at. Your dominant hand controls the rod and you crank with your non dominant. I still don't understand why with spinning gear people crank with their left but not with casting. I think cranking with your right is wack unless your left handed.
I agree don't know what hes on about with being right handed you have to reel with it, clearly if your right (or left) is your stronger hand you should be holding the rod with it.
I'm with you being right handed, When I first started with a baitcaster I cranked with my right and it felt so un natural holding the rod with me left. I found it hard to work most baits. Now I buy left handed reels.

Yup hes a weirdo. Your dominant hand should be holding the rod lol. I laugh when I see people do that lil switch so they can cast then have to pass hands before they start reeling.

I can’t wait for the shimano Slx Mgl to come out you pushed me to step up and buy the casitas mgl and a few other shimano products . I own the Daiwa sv105 and the sol that are on the same platform as this bfs. They remind me of the old Ryobi vmag 3

Thanks for your Video. I really enjoy them because I am a JDM Reel enthusiast and own lots of high end reels but I am not in youtube. So its nice to see someone like you with all these nice movies. I own two Alphas Air and I found today on AliExpress a honeycomb spool for the Alphas Air. Its Brand new since some days available. Perhaps interesting for you or your cousin. I Also use the Namiki SV Light Ltd. Scorpion BFS , Megabass Zonda Hedgehog Custome , Alphas Air and Aldebaran BFS XG as Baitfiness Reels. For me on my comparison on the Lake the Scorpion BFS reaches little bit more distance than the Alphas Air. I wait for your video to see if it will match up with you =) . Extreme care need to be taken when using this tool to remove the pin especially for daiwa spool. It can easily dent the spool edge.
can you make a review of rod ford fury, kuying thunder and seaknight potm. all of them are cheap reel and got a shallow spool. love to see rod ford fury vs tsurinoya xf50 vs kuying thunder vs seaknight potm.

Love your channel, especially the BFS stuff. Just got the Alphas Air 5.8 L for cranks and plugs, do you know if there is any restrictions for PE line on this spool? I know Daiwa discourages it for the Airstream Custom and SS Air, but not able to find any info the the Alphas Air as I am thinking about putting 8# PE on it with or without backing. Thanks.
Honestly I think you should be ok if you dont try to pull out any snags or stuck lures directly from the spool. But if it deforms these spools are really expensive.

Met Mgls from japan are usually around $300ish. just keep in mind they use the 70 line capacity spools

Good juicy content. I hate that break dial. It's the same one on the pixy, and it sux ass. I wish it was like the Tatula CT dial, with the metal serrations and visible number markings. Reel still looks nice. I read that braid is not recommended for this reel, so I'd probably end up using 6 pound floro, if I ended up buying it. I still haven't really used nylon line in years,almost like I don't trust it in light pound tests. Braid lasts years, even in the sunlight. I'd love to see you throw some tiny 2 gram spoons with the reel. I bet it will handle them nicely. The xf50 does.
I actually hate the serrated dial on the Tatulas and Fuego lol. A 2 gram metal spool should absolutely fly on this reel. Daiwa doesnt state whether this spool can handle light braid or not but I dont fish braid very much anyways, straight fluoro for me.
@@THEREELTEST I remember reading somewhere that the air spools were more delicate compared to some other BFS spools, and could smoosh easier if people used braid on them. It might just be they don't want you to use heavy braid, and it might be fine with lighter braid. I have no problems with light braid smooshing spools on my other BFS reels.

Some cheap reel with doyo break, it has 13g of shallow spool include bearing

Can't wait for it, hopefully you added LTX BF8 into the battle too.
Daiwa weaknesses;
1. Beating dead horse using dated models/frames to repackage.
2. Magforce disadvantages; inductor jammed up on some cast, and magnetism is always there to rob distances.
3. TW is a recipe for mechanical failure, not to mention added weight and widen a reel despite marginal, if any, distance advantage.

Very old looking reel
I think the design was way ahead of its time when it was introduced. I think it still looks good but Daiwa just needs to shrink it.
I dig this older style body it's like a classic car or better yet a resto mod restored on the outside improved on the inside
Do you know anything about the tatula hlc ?
HLC reels have a stronger rotor spring, and shorter rotor in general to give minimal braking for heavy aerodynamic lures 1/2 oz and up
Do you have very many old reels? I love collecting and using old shimano cores and chronarchs. I have plenty of new reels too gonna get a curado dc soon. Just wondering about your collection
The oldest i have are Shimano 50Es.
