How about just a year in prison? Juries are reluctant to punish women who do bad things. A year in prison doesn’t seem very long to the jury, but it sounds like an eternity to the person serving it.
It should also come with an admission of guilt and an apology.

Accusers that are proven to have lied and ruined someone's life should have to go to jail until the person they lied about's life is completely normalized. They stay in jail until the person's life is fully restored and if it's never restored, the person stays. Until someone pays SERIOUS consequences for lying, they will continue to lie. The worst part is that there are REAL victims that are going to be less willing to come forward. So it ruins the life of the accused and possibly future actual victims.

She deserves to go to prison and this p!sses me off but we as men have to do more to. Why doesn’t Matt have a best friend coming out and speaking up for him? My buddy Brandon, he could get accused of the most heinous things and I’m going to bat for him every time because I know what he’s capable of and what he isn’t and so do Matt’s friends/family. If I were his friend I would have literally made a Yt video about the kind of man he is. Nothing like that every happens with any male that gets accused, even Johnny Depp. How many other male celebrities were super vocal about Johnny being innocent and AH being a lying garden tool? I never saw any. You mean to tell me JD doesn’t have friends that love him? Women are quick to screech at the top of their lungs for their homegirl but dudes just stay quiet and I don’t get it. Not me.

His friends did back him up to the cops, investigators and the university. They would be absolute idiots to do it publicly because it would open them up for lawsuits as well. You have good intentions with what you're saying but that's just a very unrealistic thing to do when you're talking about civil lawsuits. Matt's friends were likely advised NOT to publicly discuss this case by Matt's lawyers because it was still an open criminal investigation with a civil lawsuit still pending. Anything they said publicly could be used against Matt. Even if they were saying good things, the woman's lawyer could use that as evidence that Matt and his friends are trying to influence a possible jury and trying to discredit his client.

This included documentation of various videos available from the partygoers, testimony from her OWN FRIENDS, phone gps records showing Matt was not at the party during the allegation, video of the alleged event showing that she was complicit without evidence of purported violence against her - therefore indicating a mountain of exculpatory evidence Prior to any trial taking place! I agree to an extent that liars that ruin peoples lives should be held accountable but we all have to realize that this system could also be used the other way be it man or woman. Say a woman is raped but her proof isn't that great, the man has more money for better lawyers. Then he turns around and sues her, or demands she gets the penalty he would have gotten. Now an innocent woman is in jail and her life destroyed twice.
The same could happen to a man. Most men don't report rape, and if they do 90% or more of people laugh at them and don't even believe them. Same scenario. What if an innocent man is now in prison for being found guilty but yet he was the one that was actually raped?
We need to be very careful with how we handle those situations if they do ever implement a policy like this.

Uhhhh, that's how it is everywhere lol. When you're accused of any crime you have to prove you're innocent of those crimes. Yes, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty but you still have to prove that that presumption of innocence is correct.

I don't know how this girl has been groomed or if someone drugged her. She may have thought Matt she was with Matt. And Anyone that was with her, and Anyone who groomed or pimped her, should go to jail.
Unfortunately we live in a world where pimps usually don't go go jail, even for kids.

So there's no witnesses at that college party that arent bias in helping out matt araiza? He still had oral sex and had sex with her prior to the incident. Which is still sex with a minor. She was still gang raped by other players on the team. The medical kit showed she was forcibly raped. They found one witness stating he left early creates doubt doesnt actually make him innocent. It just means it wasnt going to be a clear win for the prosecutor to take the case to trial. Most prosecuters only pursue high probable wins. The victim is still the rape victim. A minor who wad gang raped at a college party regardless if Matt Araiza cant be confirmed being present by his college friends.

She is literally on camera telling people she's 18. Her "gang rape" was also on multiple videos where it showed she was a very willing participant. Her own friends that were at the party with her also told police and university investigators that she was very happy about the sexual encounters and bragged to her friends about it minutes after it happened. All these videos have timestamps proving that Matt was already gone from the party for over an hour when the alleged gang rape occurred. You're also lying about only one person and only Matt's friends backing up his story because there was 35 eye witnesses interviewed and numerous videos that all 100% backed up his story and proved there was unequivocally no rape that night. You might want to actually read up on this case because literally everything you just said is wrong. He was not simply exonerated because one guy lied for him lol. He was exonerated beyond a shadow of a doubt because all this was caught on numerous videos and dozens of eye witnesses including the young woman's own friends that proved she was not raped or even coerced into sexual acts. You can also stop acting like she was some 10 year old little child... she was a few moths away from being 18. There shouldn't even be a law against a 20 year old having sex with a 17 year old. They are peers. It is not "adult/child" lol.

@@usmcdd28 no she wasn't. The numerous videos and 35 eye witnesses also show she was fully cognizant and was not too impaired to make decisions. You're trying really hard to look woke but you're just incredibly uninformed. She was not raped. She was not too intoxicated to make decisions. She lied about her age on camera. She lied about Matt Araiza being present during the alleged gang rape. You lied about there only being one witness that backed up Matt when there were in fact 35 witnesses and numerous videos that backed him up including her own friends that said she was not overly intoxicated and was very happy about the sex she had that night. It's pretty weird that you're ignoring literally all the proven facts and just making up your own story instead. Literally everything you said was proven to be false. Accept it and move on. There are actual victims you should be defending... she's not a victim of any kind.
