Great tour of "Siren". It was fun.I really missed seeing it since you were traveling. I know anyone new to your channel had to have loved it also. Sending you love.
You have a beautiful home Flossy, everyone should listen to their heart and make their house to be their own unique home. Copper is beautiful just like cast-iron they are materials that were used to last hundreds of years. The history of each individual piece is something I love, you look at a piece and just have to wonder it's history. Even for newer pieces they to shall one day hold history. Thank you letting us into your home and sharing all that you do. You are amazing 💜🏳️🌈
@Rachel Leduc I think you hit the nail on the head there!! Memories are so special and I really appreciate surrounding myself in beautiful stories! Thank you
I too have an older kerbmaster currently serving as a shed until I can get her built out. I'm on Van Isle also. I love the quirky colourful layout. If you are ever in Port Alberni look me up.
Beautifully filmed. Loved the educational vibe with the spiritual and practical. Very grounded feeling from your calm way of delivery. Syren turned out so well from your vision, hard work, sweat and tears. Can’t believe I’ve been watching you over 2 years! From across the border in Blaine, WA another PNW viewer and subscriber. PS. I loved your film when you premiered it.
@Jennifer Faber aww that’s pretty close! Aaawwww thank you, that’s really special of you to say! I’m so proud to have gotten her to where she is today 🥰. Aawww thank you so much!!!
I was watching many of your videos while you were doing this build, but then drifted away for some reason. I am so happy to now see all of your hard work come to fruition. Your van looks absolutely beautiful and you have so many clever ideas for functionality. I really love it! I will try to be more regular about watching your videos. Best wishes and congratulations!
@Mickju aaww welcome back! I really appreciate you watching, i think that’s why we suggest people hit the notification bell cos sometimes it’s not you, it’s yt not showing you the videos! Thanks so much for your kind words about the van! I appreciate it!!
Sweet diy stylez in your landship. I would love to see you kitted up with sponsor gear. A roof deck, ladders, ebike, portable power, hot shower gear, tools etc. Fair and flowery be thy way the skies all bright above thee.
The next year I will be building out a step van for my brand as seen on my page. Super excited to get started, love the energy and individual spirit you expel. Safe travels and who knows, maybe we'll run into each other on this small world we call home. 🤗
Fabulous home! When I get the money saved for a vehicle to live in I know it will depend on what's available at the time but I've thought a school bus would be great. Then I pull out my calculator and figure out gas and mileage and I decide I need to stick with a van. But, it would be nice to stand and I love to cook too. You're right, feeding people is so rewarding. Anyway, it is a lovely home and it says this is Flossy' s home. Job well done! Happy trails!
Looks like ax16ft box since you mentioned overall was 22ft. I asked on another vid but no answer yet. The wood stove sucks air from cracks to use while burning wood. So perhaps reduce chilly spots near cracks where the cold air is being sucked in. Simple vent pipe under the stove to outside would stop that and you'd be warmer. Better to burn with cold outside air than with warm inside air that is being replaced by cold air coming through cracks.
@Bottom Rung thank you ☺️ yes, it is 16.5 ft inside. I’m a bit behind on replies to comments! I love the van! Yeah I will be installing a vent behind my fridge soon, which right under the fireplace. Thank you
If you ever have the misfortune of being near Joplin, I'd so love to give you a care package of goodies. I make a load of jams, jellies, syrups, infused vinegars and oils, as well as lots of vegan baked goods. Our family is neurodiverse and trans and we would love to welcome you to town if you ever happen nearby. 💚💚💚
@Roselle Solitaire omg that’s so so sweet of you!!! I looked up Joplin and there’s lots of them! You sound so so clever!! That’s all the things that I’m so excited to make too! You’re so kind!! Thank you!!!!! 🏳️🌈
Love your home & impressed that you did the work yourself❗ I am wondering how you wash it and get the oil changes done? I hear the Promasters can be a real challenge because of their size. Thanks Flossy-I am a retired/disabled widow with a minivan to pay off but looking ahead ❌⭕❌⭕, Iris 👋
@3 Generations Syren recently got a wash with a pressure washer!! I put leveling blocks under the front wheels to create more space to work underneath but it’s not too complicated. Ford engine. Good luck with your mini van!!
Absolutely love the copper. Is it the sheets meant for gutters that are fairly cheap? (If not, check it out) but i also have a question. Your sliding door. How did you insulate around that set up? I'm debating medium truck ambulance (big ones, bigger than the vans and even bigger than a truck ambulance) or a step van, and with the step van i would love to keep the sliding doors, but everybody always gets rid of them when insulating because the enclosure for the sliding door is a pain
@ThompsonFlash9999 I don’t think so it came in flat sheets and was about 40-50$CA per piece? I have foam board and plywood around the door pocket, but because it’s right behind the fireplace it’s the hottest bit of the room so I didn’t go overboard. The rest of the van is thick rockwool insulation. Good luck 🤞 you got this!
@@FlossyRoxx sounds about right, in the US it's like $35 or so for a 3'x8' sheet. It's meant to be bent into custom gutters. I want to build a shower out of it. That backed by good thick marine grade plywood, but you have to make it so the metal is sealed so well water never hits the plywood anyway. I think it would have less of a chance of cracking than a fiberglass unit, and where it would break from travel would be your sealant, which could be touched up easily. It would look real cool, too
I love how you’ve done this mostly on ur own, and it looks homey n happy!!! Question- I know van life isn’t for everyone but do you ever get lonely although I know you have friends 😊😊
@Terry Norman I describe myself as semi nomadic because I value community. But in saying that I appreciate all the time I spend alone. I think folks are too human centric and who and what counts and company or friends also!!
@@FlossyRoxx I can suggest Strut Chanel (UniStrut tm). They’re easy to work with and relatively cheap especially if you have a flat roof. I enjoyed watching your videos. Best.
@Nagy Etelka this tank is designed to be mounted horizontally, it has a pressure gauge, brackets and its own regulator. I bought it from a tank dealer. They’re not your usual propane tank
Did you turn off your PayPal? When I opened the link it said profile not found. Maybe Buy Me a Coffee would work out. Some of us would love to help out with your build.
@Debra Reed ooohhh nooo! Thanks for letting me know! You’re the second person to mention the buy me a coffee thing, I really appreciate it! I’ll get it sorted! Thanks so much!!!
@Angela Salcedo it varies from week to week. Sometimes it’s a swim in the ocean, sometimes I go to a pool or gym. Sometimes it’s at a friends or dear ones house. Hope that helps
Great tour. Love the inside of your home . See you next week.
@Sharon Oldham thank you I was nervous making it! My first time filming and doing my own tour video!

The van looks wonderful, congratulations and best wishes 🎉🎉🎉😊
I love your cozy home, the Stephan has much space. And I appreciate how you made a spare bed/lounge. There is nothing as beautiful as a self build!

@@FlossyRoxx Happy Friday Flossy, it’s been called the million mile diesel ford 7.3

there are a lot of good ideas, but i must say, your living space is overly cluttered, you dont have room to live.
