Here's another exercise which, early on, I didn't comment on. It's one of my favorites and I just completed it. G-R-E-A-T! I always come away feeling loose and open...Anastasia
Very helpful for this senior. My only advice would be to stop stretching before the countdown if gets uncomfortable. Pushing yourself too much can discourage you from stretching/exercising tomorrow. Thanks for this great video!
Thanks for this!! Not quite sixty yet, but decades of running and hiking and some strength training w/o any stretching, and I'm paying for it now =D ... Any tips on how to stretch the quads when the arthritic knees have a very limited range of motion? :)
Great job Andrej. You can try a softer foam roller for those quads and also the other muscles surrounding the knees, which may help with the range also. (Quads, Hamstrings, calves, popliteus).
Hello just over the past 3 wks hurt my ankle numbness in feet outside calf unable to walk or stand unaided without roller frame just trying your excerises now
In my forties. My goal is to keep full range of motion well into my senior years. I have been doing cardio and strength for years and just recently realized the importance of stretching. I don’t like yoga. Is this routine what I need to accomplish my goals, or would you recommend something else?
That is a great and really important goal Barry, yes doing these stretching exercises regularly will help and keep you moving, help to reduce injury ect. Let me know how you progress!
Good video. The only one I didn't like (I teach exercise therapy for special populations) is the standing quad stretch which is not recommended for this population. Otherwise, great stuff.
@@MoreLifeHealth You're welcome and thank YOU. I am showing your videos to my Silver Sneaker students as well as my college student I teach. I also really like/respect how you speak -- you're encouraging without being condescending. So important. You're great.
