It's of course well known that not only has no team threepeated in the Super Bowl era, but that no team has been back to the Super Bowl the year following their back-to-back Lombardis. The Dolphins from 1971 to 1973, the Bills from 1990 to 1993, and the Patriots from 2016 to 2018 are the only teams to ever appear in three or more consecutive Super Bowls. There are also several occasions, most recently the 2014-2016 Patriots, where a team has won two Super Bowls in three years and lost in the conference championship in the middle year. The raw chances of it happening, assuming every game is 50/50, is 1 in 32³ = 32,768, or about 0.003%. Right now though, the Chiefs have already done the hard part, which is winning the first two-now they just have to win 12 or so regular-season games and 3 or 4 playoff games which, on average, they should stand a much better than 50% chance of winning.

update the intro, we only win a SB now 3 times every 6 years come on now. Then next year, we are the only team who will at least 3-peat in NFL history

No I don’t think they have a chance, without sneed team won’t be able to function he was the only reason they won last year 😂
Yes. We can. I don't think a lot of people REALLY understand how big a loss Sneed is/will be.. our defense was built around 2 ELITE CBs last year-- NOT around Chris Jones -- it was built around having two lockdown corners... And when you lose your top guy 🤷 there are GOING to be repercussions. But, we DO have a lot of young talented depth at that spot. And I believe Spags thinks he can replace him in the aggregate. So the defense will take a slight step back... That said, our offense is going to be WAY better this year. So there's a give and take there. But our offense going from middling last year, to what I believe will be a top 3 offense this year, I think that will outweigh the step back we take on defense. And I believe that yes, we can win the Superbowl this year.

Snead wasn't the ONLY loss for KC. Willie Gay is a huge loss. The Chiefs can just throw Tranquill in. And I love Drue, he's just as good as WG. But that's why it's not that great... Drue could step in for Gay and Bolton. Drue will be as good as our loss of Willie to NO is (its a push) , but our 3rd LB won't be what Drue was as #3 for the Chiefs last year.
