    The current Truman sports complex including the stadiums, training facility & all associated parking (even overflow lots) is 256 acres
    The completely empty plot of land north of State Ave in the legends totals 290 acres
    And you’ll still have the speedway parking as overflow so there is plenty of room for tailgating. Additionally the restaurants you’re talking about adding where Kauffman stands, already exists in the Legends + it’s surrounded by an up & coming fairly affluent community as opposed to where Arrowhead currently sits which is surrounded by some rather not great neighborhoods and an industrial zone
    I love Arrowhead and when it was built they had big plans for the community around it, unfortunately none of that came to fruition but if it’s going to move having it be in a state of the art facility 25 miles away in a nice neighborhood is a pretty sweet deal

    Arrowhead is truly my sanctuary. My heaven on earth. I love that place so freaking much. I dont want the Chiefs to move from Arrowhead at ALL.

    Tear down his dad's legacy? His dad's legacy is that he MOVED THE TEAM AND THEN BUILT A NEW STADIUM!

    If they move to Kansas they will still be in Kansas City area why all the fuss because if they move to Texas we would all be upset where it’s at last time I been there I seen ran down business so let them move to legends

    And if you want to keep it upgraded the area around there we was looking at hotels around it and seen a ran down area plus it all started because of a failed vote

    Arrowhead needs a retractable roof to get a Superbowl

    There is one good thing about a new stadium, it's almost certainly going to have a retractable roof, which means KC could host Super Bowls. And you don't have to worry about fans getting amputations because of frost bite at a playoff game.

      The NFL is never holding SBs in cold weather states, even with a retractable roof. All the SBs in recent history have been down south.

      @@kev792 Maybe I was off making it plural. They'd get at least one as most new stadiums do. See Minneapolis in 2018, Indianapolis 2012, Detroit 2006, and even New Jersey in 2014, despite there not being a dome. (I doubt they'd ever do a non-dome, cold weather stadium again though, new stadium or not.)

    So Mxl2201 is very detailed and I believe correct in the appraisal of the Kansas benefits, and also Kansas has Gambling which is huge moving forward for the NFL. The Bonds will allow the Hunts to basically own and run the stadium as their own and not be controlled by Jackson County. A new stadium with all the new practice facilities and a huge revenue stream 12 months of the year for a Super Bowl in KC, Concerts and Mega events is maybe too good for the Hunts to pass up. (70% of the Cost will be the Bonds)

    Why haven't they retired Joe Delaney's number then?

    i no longer live in kc metro. i want arrowhead to be the afc version of lambeau. its a classic. just up grade it. its grandfathered design is unique and allows 'us' to be so loud and 'on top' of the field. a new one? i cant care less with a dome. the elements of f'ball is key. its a mental advantage as well. c'mon man.

    I saw the first Superbowl. I saw the first Chief's super-bowl. The Hunt family can afford to pay for their own infrastructure. Stop being greedy and give back to the community that supports your little game.

      You certainly have a point, but it's a free market and KS will get much more income off the Chiefs than they are ponying up. It's just good business. MO is gonna wake up next year and wonder why everyone's really grumbling.

    • @matthewvade6553
      @matthewvade6553 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Maybe the Hunts can pay for their own stadium, but it's a free market, and the fact is, they don't have to. If MO won't give them the money, KS will. And if KS changes its mind, another city/state will. I don't know too many people in this world that will turn down free money, and I don't blame them for trying to get every dollar they can. I would too.
