@@ohmaplaymaker That did kinda happen in a way. In the Shattered Grid annual we had Drakkon take the place of Tommy from Zeo and observing them and at the end it's implied he kills that version of Tommy before leaving.
A couple things. Eddie has come out since his oooooold Rangerboard days and IIRC stated that neither he nor the writers under him had "finished" the RPM story when he was fired and the writing team resigned. They had ideas what they wanted to do but a final story was never fleshed out, so it's false to say "This is what was going to happen" because it was never formalized and submitted to Disney for approval, etc. He also states he wasn't fired for going over budget, he was fired for not getting scripts in on time. Apparently it got so bad that scripts were being written the same day they were shooting. And despite several SEVERAL warnings from Disney, it never got better - so they canned him and his team quit when he was fired. Chip Lynn took over the show and there was a lot of silent angst - the cast and crew loved Eddie but Chip was cold, not-listening to them or their ideas like Eddie did, and was more of a "this is how we're doing it just do your job" type of guy. I know Jackie left when Eddie was fired and I can't remember if it was because Chip came on board or not. I know she is not a fan of Chip because when there was a writers strike during Jungle Fury, good old Chip Lynn crossed the picket line and wrote a large chunk of Jungle Fury instead of supporting some of the same crew he had worked with previously.
Any sources for the old post? Would help the fan base know how things went behind the scenes. Knowing the Chip thing, wonder how others series cast and crew feel about the guy if he’s so dismissive and adamant about things
Actually he never said he got several warnings before fired in fact they had actually agreed to a schedule that he managed to properly succeed in and had told him during it that although they did like how the delays meant the scripts would come out in better, they could not keep production going on like that for so long. So despite him actually getting the scripts in by that schedule, he was still ultimately fired. I guess there's an argument to be made here that even though he was getting them out on time they still didn't want to risk it.
RPM was a great season that perfectly mixed it’s more serious moments with its most self referencing and hilarious scenes in the show to date!! Such a great show, thank you for this video
I do know there was some foreshadowing to this in the episode "Ghosts" In that episode, Dr. K discovers that Dillon's memories that led the team to go to Omega City were fabricated. Indicating that he never had human memories to begin with, because he was never human. Interestingly, "Ghosts" was the last script Eddie Guzelian wrote before he was fired.
Bro ending of RPM is so satisfying than the original script imagine seeing your favourite character become villan would be very dark and emotional as a kid
Chip was in an impossible situation. After the budget had been blown for the first half, he probably has no choice but to autopilot the rest of the season. Barely any Sentai footage was used for the first half. That is how PR saves money for the episode they wanna do and Eddie never did it. Chip had to save money by using more footage, having a clip show and a behind the scenes episode. Given what he had to work with, I think Chip did a great job. If Eddie had just used more Sentai footage on the filler episodes he could have done the story he wanted without blowing the budget
I guess we'll never know until or unless the answer comes from Eddie's mouth directly but I wonder if a team-up with the Jungle Fury team is what he had in store had he stayed the whole season, but I agree with Chip being put in an impossible situation, otherwise, I'm sure "And... Action!" would not've happened. I could be mistaken but I actually thought it was, the more footage being used, the higher the production costs. But then again higher costs isn't necessarily limited to footage usage since we know Eddie resigned due to going overbudget and script delays. Also, you mentioned a clip-show. I'm sure even Eddie would've done a clip-show. I don't know about Samurai to Beast Morphers since Dino Fury is actually the first post-RPM season I've regularly watched (and still isn't over yet) but ever Ranger season (since I think Time Force) has done a clip-show episode.
RPM is one of my favorites and anytime I talk about power rangers with anyone that wasn't a fan of seen a few episodes as a kid, I tell them to watch RPM, lol Ziggy acknowledging the background explosion episode was such a great episode to ask the questions we all had

It would have been a very emotional ending, but I feel like it'd kind of ruin a lot of Dillon's development as a character. To just turn around and say "Oh, he's a bad guy now!" right at the end for the sake of drama, it just would have been cheap.
It's a bit of a bother to me that everyone keeps saying RPM was going to be the last season... as in the last ever season of the franchise. Admittedly, I thought this too back in 2009. But now, I would think the show would've been on hiatus until Saban came back asking for the franchise back... or to buy it back. It's worth a mention that Saban, not Disney, is the original owner of the franchise and so even though it was still in Disney's hands at that point, they still didn't have the authority to permanently end a franchise they weren't the original owners of. The last season of the Power Rangers? After they walked out of Disney in 2009, they moved to cable network instead of regular TV. All regular TV networks are bowing out Saturday Morning Cartoons.

If Power Rangers RPM would have ended like that, then fans would have definitely find Super Sentai earlier like me and jump ship to watch essentially what made Power Rangers. Also, there will be one more Power Rangers series adapted from Super Sentai. I honestly hope that it's Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Pataranger. It would be something different and I bet they could market the season as Power Rangers V.S.

I would never expect Power Rangers getting this dark (so maybe that's why they decided to change it) but again, this whole season was dark and I would love to see the original ending.
I still like of what we got in the End in the Finale in Power Rangers RPM even do I did not watch the season Because without that cliff hanger I think we won`t have Power Rangers Beast Morphers Because of that
Power Rangers RPM has a similar original ending to Terminator Salvation, where the machines won and the heroes lost. I personally think it would a darkest ending of the Power Rangers franchise where the Rangers lost for once. (I personally think that would be an interesting original ending.) After finding out the original ending, I’m kind of disappointed with the alternative ending. No offense to the Power Rangers fans. That is just my personal opinion for the ending of the Power Rangers RPM. It is sad that the original writer was fired. Just like Richard Donner being fired from Superman II of him finishing 75%. Interesting enough that Eddie finished like 95% of the production of Power Rangers RPM. Not sure how the original crew got done, if you guys know, please let me know in the replies because I’m curious. And then being replace by new ones just with Richard Lester replaced Richard Donner for Superman II. Hopefully few years later, that Hasbro maybe to release the Editor’s cut of the original final episode and ending of Power Rangers RPM.
If I worked in power rangers I would make an animated series to adapt older sentía like jaqk or goranger it wouldn’t be so far fetched if big hero six and green lantern can make the switch from cg to animation so could power rangers only this time is live action to animation
I have an idea for a video. How about talking the problems the Megafoce Seasons production had. Maybe add in a joke about how they should make a proper Gokiager sequel to the shows that is better then the original.
Este, what's your general location in the country (or was)? One of my favorite parts of the RPM run was how it was an ABC Kids exclusive and as such only certain ABC stations would air the show at certain times. My ABC station out of Philadelphia Pa aired RPM at 12 & 12:30pm. I'd always been fascinated and curious as to which ABC stations aired RPM and when and which stations didn't.
Este, there was a point in time where mighty Morphin Power Rangers had turned kids a bit violent in 1994, could you do a video discussing that? If so could you feature me in that future video?
You know what I realized seeing that snapshot of the Sentai RPM is based on, the megaforce team went to the Sentai version of the RPM universe. Doesn't matter in hindsight but interesting
I haven't got around to watching Power Rangers RPM yet, but that idea of making Dillon's sister a Power Ranger would've been really cool to have seen 👍
Everyone keeps saying RPM was going to be the last season of Power Rangers as if the whole franchise to be permanently gone for good after RPM. I'll admit I was under that impression too back in 2009, but it's worth mentioning that I doubt it was set in stone for that to be the case. All it meant was Disney wasn't going to produce another season after RPM and was just going to let the franchise linger in limbo until Saban came knocking... which they did around 2010-2011 prior to Samurai going into production.
i want to see a villain... that makes a good point "we must to what is best for our survival" type thing i want to see either a ranger defect to join the villain, and refuse to return to the good guys.
well fighting good rangers gone bad by spells is never anything new (looking at you young tommy, tommy/draken and thunder rangers) and thanks to "in space" and "spd" we had rangers killing rangers, so that is not a complete original idea per say....but being forced to kill one of their own without a choice would have been an emotional and satisfying ending to "super spandex heros"....i mean power rangers...dont tell DR. K i said that....go ESQUAD RANGERS
i would not have liked that ending and i have a feeling i know why the producers wouldnt like it either, its because for power rangers there should always be a chance for it to continue if need be. most shows i have watched do this kind of thing incase the creator or producers ever want to do a follow up or continue it in the future, like the anime toriko they ended it where the story really actually began, and like what fairytail is doing now, the creator said after the 5th season he was done with the anime but now he says hes bringing it back, so yah if they did the original ending then rpm would never have a crossover with either samurai or beast morphers and ninja steel, so i think the ending they went was a better ending and if they continued with this universe of rangers we maybe could have seen a future ranger team that was in rpm world but they had to fight the orgs of that world cause of the toxic earth venjix had created, but if they ever did think about doing something with that ending i could see it as part of the lord drakken universe

Power Rangers RPM is by far one of my favorite series from the Disney Era of Power Rangers and it's amazing. This was the last series from the Disney Era of Power Rangers, and then I kinda lost interesting of the Neo-Saban Era of Power Rangers, and it went downhill.
Some ranger shows are underrated
Like jungle fury and mystic force
Some overrated
But rpm I'd just top tear one of the best acting had one of the best stories
And I like that they break the 4 wall plenty of times
And then for the fact that each ranger when threw great character development
From Scott getting over wanting approval of his father
Or dr.k finally finally stepping out into the world and getting along with Ziggy
I would love to see the episode
Especially if ranger black was able to some how fight vingix to help the rangers
rw:Rule #1 dont call the suits Spandex -Doctor K
This sounds like the the plot of Agents of Shield Season 1
The last season of the Power Rangers? After they walked out of Disney in 2009, they moved to cable network instead of regular TV. All regular TV networks are bowing out Saturday Morning Cartoons.
Ranger Red met Jessica, a Detective with Super Strength
0:06 I feel like I have heard this "fun-fact" for the past 2 weeks at least 3 times. "Last season was supposed to be Power Rangers in Space", "Last season was supposed to be Power Rangers WildForce" and now "Last season was supposed to be Power Rangers RPM".
The Dolphin sounds Lmfao #ESqaud
The original ending would have been awesome would tenaya 7 be good or evil
If Power Rangers RPM would have ended like that, then fans would have definitely find Super Sentai earlier like me and jump ship to watch essentially what made Power Rangers. Also, there will be one more Power Rangers series adapted from Super Sentai. I honestly hope that it's Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Pataranger. It would be something different and I bet they could market the season as Power Rangers V.S.
RPM is hands down the best season of PR imo. Great acting, writing, and a DARK premise for PR. If I only had to rewatch ONE PR series for the rest of my life, it would be RPM
Honestly it should have ended with RPM. Disney was best.
RPM is pretty much the last season i actively enjoyed everything after was either mediocre or garbage beast morphers was pretty good though
@@nyhtfall1969 generations change. Our generation people are not affraid to be harsh or insensitive. Same think with Beyblade, Ben 10, Yu-Gi-Oh. New kids, new PC rules. Even anime doesn't have blood anymore.
@@TheDragonaf1 i think its more a case of a fear being honest
They should've made beast morphers a direct sequel to rpm
Kinda sad that we never got "ranger black" episode, unlike other colors, even Dr K got her own episode.
Also that original ending was dark, very dark. I would never expect Power Rangers getting this dark (so maybe that's why they decided to change it) but again, this whole season was dark and I would love to see the original ending.
I still like of what we got in the End in the Finale in Power Rangers RPM even do I did not watch the season Because without that cliff hanger I think we won`t have Power Rangers Beast Morphers Because of that
It Will Be Interesting If ' Power Rangers ; P.R.M '' In A Different Way .
My guess is Tanaya would've replaced Dillon as Ranger Black.
I may like jungle fury the most, but i know RPM is one of the best.
Ngl Eddie’s first impression of go onger is what sold me on watching it and why I got into sentai in the first place
I think it’s interesting that “danger and destiny“ would have been the penultimate episode of the season.
I would of really loved the ending, but I would of balled my eyes out
3:09 Literally me when i first watched Go Onger instead of RPM when i was 10
"it was lie. Nothing was real" 😭I love Este so much. ❤️
I have a random question. What super sentai show has the most rangers what number of rangers?
If I worked in power rangers I would make an animated series to adapt older sentía like jaqk or goranger it wouldn’t be so far fetched if big hero six and green lantern can make the switch from cg to animation so could power rangers only this time is live action to animation
I have an idea for a video. How about talking the problems the Megafoce Seasons production had. Maybe add in a joke about how they should make a proper Gokiager sequel to the shows that is better then the original.
I feel like they should do anniversary specials for the milestone seasons and use the original ending as the driving story for a movie
Este, what's your general location in the country (or was)? One of my favorite parts of the RPM run was how it was an ABC Kids exclusive and as such only certain ABC stations would air the show at certain times. My ABC station out of Philadelphia Pa aired RPM at 12 & 12:30pm. I'd always been fascinated and curious as to which ABC stations aired RPM and when and which stations didn't.
at the time i was living in Miami, and the station Local 10 usually has a newscast at 12, leaving Power Rangers with the 5 AM time slot
Yeah I would've been okay with that ending, it's different and hits hard
Eddie can still continue his version of rpm through boom comics.
RPM was really the best written and acted
RPM produced my favorite Red Ranger 💯💯
Oh my gosh! Someone else who would get up at 5 to watch this! Did you also watch lightyear, digimon frontier, and Tarzan and Jane?
Everyone keeps saying RPM was going to be the last season of Power Rangers as if the whole franchise to be permanently gone for good after RPM. I'll admit I was under that impression too back in 2009, but it's worth mentioning that I doubt it was set in stone for that to be the case. All it meant was Disney wasn't going to produce another season after RPM and was just going to let the franchise linger in limbo until Saban came knocking... which they did around 2010-2011 prior to Samurai going into production.
I would of tried ending with all Previous Rangers
I knew this was 1 of 3 last season of Power rangers but I didn't know that they had another ending for the finale.
Why does chip love having power rangers be related to the villains
Any idea what Adelaide Kane is saying at the beginning? Can't make out a word of it.
“ I’m Scottish”
Great work 💯
i want to see a villain... that makes a good point "we must to what is best for our survival" type thing
i want to see either a ranger defect to join the villain, and refuse to return to the good guys.
well fighting good rangers gone bad by spells is never anything new (looking at you young tommy, tommy/draken and thunder rangers) and thanks to "in space" and "spd" we had rangers killing rangers, so that is not a complete original idea per say....but being forced to kill one of their own without a choice would have been an emotional and satisfying ending to "super spandex heros"....i mean power rangers...dont tell DR. K i said that....go ESQUAD RANGERS
LAST DISNEY VERISON OF POWER RANGERS***
I would bring a Power Rangers Zord combination to the e squad, called the dino charge mega ultrazord.
i would not have liked that ending and i have a feeling i know why the producers wouldnt like it either, its because for power rangers there should always be a chance for it to continue if need be. most shows i have watched do this kind of thing incase the creator or producers ever want to do a follow up or continue it in the future, like the anime toriko they ended it where the story really actually began, and like what fairytail is doing now, the creator said after the 5th season he was done with the anime but now he says hes bringing it back, so yah if they did the original ending then rpm would never have a crossover with either samurai or beast morphers and ninja steel, so i think the ending they went was a better ending and if they continued with this universe of rangers we maybe could have seen a future ranger team that was in rpm world but they had to fight the orgs of that world cause of the toxic earth venjix had created, but if they ever did think about doing something with that ending i could see it as part of the lord drakken universe
