What amazes me is how quick a sloth can be when defending itself. Then go right back to moving in slow motion.
Guess it saves its energy for molments like this
it is a massive drain on their energy, this sloth will be in trouble if he can't get back up to a tree with plenty of food quickly after this
@TylerChamb It ISN'T a massive drain of energy at all. Mammals, in general, are known for their endurance and stamina.
@@kaijuar2003It actually is. They use up most of their energy when traveling down from trees to take a poop making them easy prey. I just finished watching a documentary on Sloths
@@Sbrabson04 When was the documentary made?
Ever since I saw two sloths playing tag at the zoo one day, I knew they could move quick when they wanted to. They just move slow to keep us from suspecting anything.
Funnie
Theyre not slow theyre just lazy.....hence the name sloth
They biologically evolved to this point, their way of life doesnt require that they move fast, only in situations such as that, but even so, they cant be agile like another mammals such as monkeys and ocelots.
They also have much less muscle density than average mammals, and a slow metabolism to conserve energy.
Wow, they are fast as fu**! Never seen one in defensive mode.
Yeah that was impressive AF 😮
Stimulating to the fullest!
All I can say is "he was asking for it"! This is why you don't make a sloth mad.
Turns out they can move pretty fast when their life depends on it
Yeah. Like a lot of lazy people in today’s society
;-) right
You can, too! Don’t give up
The sloth turned out to be a fighting beast
Man, that sloth has some badass Ninja moves!
Man, that ocelot isn't gonna live this one down.
It wasnt a ocelot it was a Margay
Sloth said I might be slow but I'll shank ya fool.
Learn something new about these guys everyday. Shows that they can move fast when in defense mode.
This is an excellent example of how ferocious sloths can be when they want to defend themselves. I've seen footage of a 2-toed sloth that tried to bite the man who was rescuing it. That man was none other than Jeff Corwin. It was documented while Jeff was in the Amazon, helping a local wildlife rescue relocate animals from a deforested area, and the sloth tried to maul him after he managed to get it off the branch. Their claws are bad enough, but he was very lucky not to get bitten, let alone scratched, because sloth teeth are like leather-puncturing blades and their jaws are surprisingly powerful. Sloths actually make me wary for that reason. They actually bite, and can do serious damage!
I got to see one up close in Florida and feed it sweet potatoes and the teeth are like literally needle sharp, it's wild!
they had nothind to do against a jaguar or a cougar
@@stormthefront1561You are right , captain obvious.
@@stormthefront1561 You are the type of kid who will see a deer successfully defending itself against a Jackal and say "That deer is of no match against lions and tigers."
He's been studying Brazilian jiu-jitsu. You can hear him saying "crawl on top of me and meet your doom"
there are legends that they still go back and forth there
I couldn't imagine that ocelot biting into a healthy sloth. It's fur is thick and covered in gross moss and mud. But what do I know. 😅
Sloth be like don’t make me get up and do that crucifix ninja pose Mr. Ocelot Man.
😊 Silent river runs deep they say
This is a perfecr exmaple of...dont judge your opponent until the fight!
Sloths are a lot more agressive than I could ever imagine 😮 This one really fought for it's life and I'm happy the Ocelot finally left it alone. Poor thing 😢
Rare and precious footage.
The sloth was purposely thrown upside down in the mud! It was used as bait to get this footage. I say pathetic!
How do you know ? Share your knowledge.@@Herbie11
Yea, sloths don't normally play in the mud like wild boars.
@@Herbie11please if true link us some proof, so we can rightfully report this. I've done this a lot of times and it does really work: I managed to get some content from mainstream media removed because of animal abuse. Without any proof tho, it's pointless. Thanks in advance for your help.
@@Herbie11 No, the sloth was not thrown by anyone. I am the one who was in charge of this little study, and I can assure you that no one interfered with its behavior. The video you see is a capture by camera traps, which work with motion sensors. In addition, sloths often eat mud (something known as geophagy). I invite you to read the scientific article that you can find in the description or through ResearchGate. Regards.😊
I knew it! Slot are making fun of us 😅
They know people easly get fooled 😂
That sloth put hands... Uh... Hooks... on that cat.
I enjoyed how other animals were also yelling at it and throwing things.
The ancient Sloth martial art mostly involves lying on your back and flailing at your enemy
Like Brazilian Jiu-jitsu! haha!
this proves that u don't need to be fast or strong to win
Basta saber o que fazer e como fazer. A aparência engana muita gente. 😁
I think they are actually pretty strong though, I read somewhere that they're 3 times stronger than the average person and from birth they're able to pull themselves up a tree (lift their entire bodyweight) with one arm.
Also it helps to have really thick hair as armor and 4 inch claws 😁
@@alexcunningham9012i read the exact opposite, most of their muscles are very underdeveloped and theyre mostly great climber because of their claws. Hell, they cant even support their own weight on the ground so they have to crawl
Me gusta mucho la fauna a la vida silvestre en la naturaleza Me gusta mucho ese tipo de Videos
The sloth just wanted to take a dump in peace. My cat did this same thing to me the other day, he launched a full out assault on my feet while I was on the crapper
that is vigoroth mode😊
That sloth will need a fat nap after all that
It was painful to see the sloth going the wrong way to the ground only then reversing course
That's a pretty big ocelot. Linnaeus two toed sloths weight like 7-10kg. That ocelot must be 15-18kg. I think cougar and jaguar are the only ones who can hunt a two toed sloth.
The end had me shook. Boy was like: where do you think you’re going kitty we’re not done 😅
Never underestimate a sloth!
The Ocelot just wanted to help get him out of the mud.
"..Ah! easy pickings NOM,nom!"
"WTF?!?"
Lazy 'n' slow ≠ Not deadly...
That cat has some big balls, literally.
Yup, it's a boy, quite obviously :)
That sloth was faster than the cat.
This is the fastest sloth I have ever seen
Two toed sloths are comparatively more aggressive and faster than three toed sloths.
Sloth got turbo charge
I dont understand how sloths have not gone extinct by now
Wow 😮😮😅😅😊😊😊
When you try to get your drunk friend home, but he wants party to go on.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sloths are strong af
That sloth was really annoyed to have its spa day ruined.
Always wondered
Quá hay👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Sloth had to sleep for 3 months to recover from all the energy used
Waaoo
Very nice 👍
Two toed sloths an be really scary quick when lashing out!
Apparently sloths know Brazilian jujitsu!
Did the sloth survive? I feel so bad for that thing being so harmless getting attacked.
Sloths are not harmless, this video literally proves that. No matter how "cute and cuddly" some animals look, they can attack/defend themselves. If you were to try to touch or move a sloth, high chance it takes you for a threat and will give you the same treatment this ocelot received. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't think an animal with 4 inch claws, and four puncturing teeth is harmless.
Came here because of Good Mythical More 😂

Sus garras son como 2 cuchillos que fácilmente perforarian a un jaguar, al igual también las garras del oso hormiguero.
That's a 2 toed sloth, these are fast. The ones you generally see are green colored 3 toed sloths, they're the slow ones.

Today I learned that sloths can move fast hahaha
Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Awesome... Full watched. Thanks Have a happy day!
They Maybe slow but when it comes to a fight for their life those claws be swinging
It's like the legend of the drunken master!
Sloth are moving in slow motion but he still can defeat the ocelot in his weird way 😅😅😅
If anyone has ever wondered how this little funny creatures can live in dangerous jungle. Well this is proof that they are not planning to die out💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Il faut être complètement détraqué pour regarder de telle vidéo 😱😱😱😱
Sloths are fully capable of defending themselves! They may be slow but those claws are no joke. 🦥
Hello ❤
Kungkang makanan lezat burung elang 😊
Wild life is fragile and depends on agility and intelligence
so sloth can be faster than a cat?
New Tekken game looks lit
Don't mess with sloths
😮
turbo mode on :-)

So did the sloth survive?
We think it probably survived because no traces of hair or blood were found in the surrounding area, nor were there any marks that the Ocelot might have left on trees. We were helped by people from the community (Quichua Indians) who have a good knowledge of the forest. You can read our scientific publication. 😊
Sloths are not slow, just choose to be slow.
Permanently Smiling face , slow motion, lazy but i think this not truth because he is survived in blood thirsty forest its big quality. He is slow motion wolverine.
Y. ????
So they CAN move fast, those frekin liars.
Unfortunately, this cat is too small to take on that.
What happened to the sloth 🦥 in the end?

What weapons do they have? Those claws that's about it?
Well, as we can see those claws are pretty effective.

OMG DONT FKING TOUCH SLOTHS
I hope sloths are able to defend themselves, they truly are natures version of Switzerland.
Atsa spirit animal
Psh sloths are fast slotherhouse proves it! 😂
Not that slow
Why sloth doesnt have any tools to fight or can fly or has stinky aroma or anything else. Sloth is easy for other predators to eat. poor Sloth, i almost crying
Their classes are defense, they are designed to stab into dense tree bark. And their bites are incredibly strong for their size.
I rather be bitten by that ocelot then bitten by a Sloth pretty sure the sloth has bigger teeth then the ocelot
原來這就是樹懶叫的聲音
No, the background sound is of woolly monkeys that frequent the canopy in that area of the forest!
