I just had to use my GOOLOO GP4000 earlier for the first time. After hooking up the cables, the other car would not start. I saw the boost button and pressed it. The car cranked up. I just had to search TH-cam on how to properly use it since I did not read any of the instructions. 😄
I have a 5 year old gooloo 1000 watt and it has saved so many people. When I get a request to jump someone I use this instead of cables. The biggest thing I’ve used it on was my f250 5.4 gas v8 but it started it easily with a dead battery. I’ve found it really beneficial for lawn mowers and motor cycles and even my jetski. It saved my vacation when my jetski battery died on a remote camping trip. Mine is finally beginning to have recharge issues and I have to watch it closely when charging as it will suddenly start to discharge while in the charger.
AAA is great for flat tire changes but for a quick jump start then jump starters come in very handy. No waiting around for AAA. Also you don’t need another vehicle like you do with jumper cables. You may even have cables but people are reluctant to help in fear of harming something in there electric system in there vehicles. Teach all the drivers in your family how to use these portable jump starters. You could also bail someone else out some day. Test your alternator with the jump starter. Once your vehicle starts remove one cable. If the vehicle quits you need an alternator. If it keeps running it’s the battery. 😁
Some people on other YT videoshave said that pushing the Boost button on a "smart" booster that is not recognizing a 100% dead battery will disable the safety aspects, for example, incorrect polarity hookup. Is that true for GooLoo?
@@briizcustoms9543Not good nor bad. The jumper safety features work by checking the battery voltage. That way, if it is hooked backwards, it will show you an error and not jump the car (as it would damage the battery, the car's computers or the jumper box). However, sometimes the battery is at 0 volts (with a really bad battery or one that has been left with the lights on for days), that's when you need to press the manual "boost" or "override" button. Before engaging manual boost, it is important that the positive and negative cables of the booster are correctly connected to the car's battery. In my opinion, you should only buy a lithium jump pack that has a manual override mode (most of the good ones with known brands do), because if the battery is fully drained, the smart function won't be able to detect it!
RED LIGHT on and solid with beeping: Indicates the connection is wrong, you need to correct the battery clamps as step 2 mentioned, wait the GREEN LIGHT on and solid, then start the vehicle directly.
I bought my Gooloo less than a year ago. Fully charged it. Never used it. After only 1 month sitting there battery is down more than 50% therefore unusable...only 1 month. Recharged, same results....contacted service via email, they say they are on vacation lol....oh well....

what is the life expectancy of these units how do you know you're getting a class a battery and not a class c reject just because they're rejected don't mean they're any good but they are substandard so how do you know you said I'm going to know everything what about these

My 4000a gooloo will be solid green, but when I hit the boost button it clicks off and turns solid red. Will not turn over anything

My GP4000 wouldn't even start my daily driver 4 cylinder 2015 Toyota RAV4, whose battery died in the afternoon. New battery solved the problem.
The thing is garbage. Hardly ever works

Try plugging into the wall outlet first then into the jump box.
Will not honor warranty, rip off artists, get elsewhere.
