Greetings from Canada! I've always watch you videos, love it! Just wondering if you can also do a test for jump starters that are readily available from Amazon Canada? Thanks
You should test some of the tool battery based jump start adapters on the next test. See if they're worth having if you already have a bunch of, say, Dewalt 20v or milwaukee m18 batteries
Was just fixing to say my Gooloo 4000 Has jump started a 2020 Mack pinnacle with the MP eight engine with two dead batteries and another one that would only light up the dash that thing is a monster on jumpstart vehicles and I bought it because of ProjectFarm on TH-cam because he did the test two years ago with him. This thing is unreal. What it will do.
@chrischapman3586 I manage a fleet of freightliner Cascadia. I also do road service calls for other companies. Every time I use it, drivers look at me like I'm on drugs. Then they see the magic and want to take pictures of it so they can buy one. It's an amazing tool. I'm tempted to buy another, but mine has showed no signs of wear. I can't belive it just keeps kicking.
@@ProjectFarmI was wondering what the heck was up with the insane sounding cranking Amps. It made more sense after your meter testing . Rating on small units sold here is 400 to 800 CCA. I just dont get your American measuring systems .same for octane rating 🤷♂️
I hate how these companies are allowed to lie about the battery capacity of their devices. It's not just jump starters that do this. Just about anything with a battery will have an inaccurate capacity listed. Thank you for your review. Letting us all know which ones are actually good is amazing! All your videos are great!
I'm not sure they're actually allowed to lie, it's just no one bothers catching them, and the consequences are minimal. Can't expect Amazon or Walmart to check the quality of the products they sell, right? I mean, do you know how difficult, and expensive it is to check a product's claims? You'd probably need a whole lab, just for battery testing! Perhaps even a team of engineers, with a dedicated support staff! It's not like any guy on a farm could perform an accurate, repeatedly test to accurately measure manufacturer claims... Wouldn't that be neat, though?
It's the same way with stereo components that claim to put out hundreds, if not thousands of watts when most put out far less than 100 watts when measured correctly and they've been doing that for decades.
this guys videos are an incredible resource to make the best and smart purchases! i also like that the host talks fast. there is NO FAT in his words. lean and only the necessary info without all the chatter and filler. 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for updating these videos every year. Amazon rotates the brands to confuse people and trick them into buying garbage. Your annual update videos such as this one helps. 👍
I remember when a jump box was the size of a suitcase, weighed as much as a blind date, worked twice when it was tested but not needed, and left you stranded when it was needed.. This is (perhaps) the most important item you test and watching the improvements made year after year is very interesting. A combination of actual data comparing spec's to mfg. claims and real world testing is why 3 MILLION of us value the info we get from this channel.. A couple weeks ago, you asked our opinion about the direction you should go... I still remain solid that straight ahead is the direction you should go.. these re-visit's shows how fast technology progresses.. The super cap. unit in today's test is a perfect example of that.. Maybe next year there will be 2 or 3 such units and the price will come down.. THAT IS WHY WE KEEP WATCHING!!!!
I too remember when a jumpstarter weighed 40-50lbs (because they essentially had a small car battery inside their delicate plastic case back then) and almost NEVER worked when you needed them to work even on full charge. I absolutely love the Li-ion, LI-po, and other lithium chemistry batteries nowadays vs the lead acid and NiCad versions of just a couple decades ago.
@@teamja1088 I had 3 or 4 of the old style jobbys.. I think I tried to get a stranded started started maybe a half dozen times and NEVER was successful with them. The best one was used to top off a basketball with a slow leak every couple days but that is all I got from any of them.. SO, I disassembled them to harvest whatever pieces I could salvage.. They all had a 7 or 8 Ah gel-cell'.. Gel-cell's aren't typically known as "high drain" and the charging circuits were minimal. NOW, I have one that is just slightly bigger than a deck of cards and is rated for a 6 cyl. engine. It has never failed me and has even started a couple V8's.
I bought the Gooloo 4000 based off your last video on jump starters. It has been amazing. Brought it camping to charge stuff, got me out of a pickle when I left the lights on in my 4Runner while away for a week. Keep doing what you're doing!
I own the NOCO, and while I have never needed it for myself, I have jumped over a dozen strangers' cars and many at my place of employment. In fact, I had to jump-start two cars this week on the same cold day after work. I also have a Milwaukee battery-operated M18 compressor with me at all times. This I have used myself and for many others. I enjoy helping others in need.
@@beardedchimp I just wonder how many companies have been forced to improve their products due to Todds testing. I'd guarantee they are taking notice of this channel.
I've had my Gooloo 4000 for a few years, I bought based on test results from this channel, it's one of the best tools I've ever bought. I've used it multiple times on vehicles up to 4.7 L, and it starts them every time, even after it's been sitting under my seat for a year. I also use it as a power bank when camping, and with the 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter, I can plug my air pump in it to inflate an air mattress. I think with the power, cost, and small physical size the Gooloo is an excellent choice. The Noco looks like a beast, but it's much more money and obviously takes up a lot more room.
This has got to be one of the best channels on TH-cam. It would be interesting to see some behind the scenes on how you keep track of video ideas, inventory, coming up with tests, what you do with the used tools (that you don’t break), etc.
Yeah, I'm assuming he's got an assistant or two these days, especially for editing. It would be cool to see a little bit of behind the scenes. I used to imagine Todd had a pile of 50 lawnmowers in a remote outbuilding, but he seems way too organized for all that. Maybe we'll find out one day...
I watched/listened your video for fun, as this video came up after something else I was watching I must say: "You are AWESOME!"... accurate, putting into perspective what is important to you and others. Very fast, super informative. I hope you capture your audience and that it pays off. Either way, you are an incredible individual. Keep up the great work 🙏
I bought a Gooloo based off your last video. We have a diesel tractor that has a short in it and it always drains the battery no matter what we do. The gooloo jumps it first time every time and as long as you don't accidentally leave it out in the rain it works fantastically. Love the gooloo!
Is one of the things you tried disconnecting the battery when parked? It's better for the battery if you do that, if you don't intend to fix the standby drain issue.
Earlier in the year, I bought a NOCO Boost X GBX45 1250A based on the Noco you tested last time. Already used it several times after my car had to sit on the driveway for 7 weeks while i was away. Did several starts while the car battery was still depleted from being so flat. Works an absolute treat on my 2L petrol Mazda 3.
My brother-in-law has a noco and he really likes it. He is an electrical contractor; so he uses it to start equipment, gassers, diesels, etc. I have been using a gooloo and so far, it has worked really well.
@@armyfreak1367 Back in the 70's yes, in the 80's maybe, but not today with modern cars. If you are not driving them and they are sitting the computers put enough of a drain on the battery to run it down to where it will not start the car after several weeks.
A few reasons I like the jump start battery over the cables (which I also carry): 1. You can self-rescue. No wandering around, asking for a stranger to help. 2. You can help others and you don't have to position your car in weird spots. 3. When you do help someone, you don't have to connect your car to someone else's janky mess. If they have something wrong with their electrical system, you don't want to mess up your ride. 4. They're great for emergency charging of cell phones. If you get stranded somewhere, most of those chargers will keep your phone topped up for days.
How do you maintain a charge in the jump start battery? I'm thinking of getting a couple (at $100, why not have one for each car), but they're easy to forget about and I don't want them to be dead when I need them.
@@BillyBobDingledorf One that I got will go for weeks and maybe months without needing a recharge. I put a reminder in my phone to check it every month, and most months, it's still at 100% when I check it.
@@BillyBobDingledorf My lithium phosphate camper leisure battery has, to quote "a very low self-discharge rate (less than 3% per month)". It is a top-end battery, so as long as a quality battery is used in the product, you're looking at usable levels of charge, even after a year, possibly even more.
@@toastrecon You won't mess up your car jumping another one if you jump it properly. You hook up to the other car and after a few minutes, give it a test crank and if it spins fast enough, shut your engine off to start the other car so you're not throwing excess lightning into your system.
I consider the battery jumper and the tire inflators to be self rescue items, it means a lot when you test them. I often give those items as gifts to folks I care about. Your segments give me confidence that they will work when needed. Thank You.
I got the Gooloo 2000 3 years ago based off your video from a few years ago, and it’s been fantastic! It’s started plenty of V6 and V8’s and has never let me down!
My battery went dead at our daughter's house. She brought out something she bought at Costco and shocked me with how well it started my car. I didn't know such a thing existed. This is certainly better than jumper cables because it doesn't require another car. I've been looking for one of these so this video is perfect timing. Thanks!
After first carefully watching you video on jump starters I decided on and bought the Gooloo 400. I had to use it today. What a surprise I got on just how easy it was to use and, more importantly, the unbelievable power that it has. The engine started IMMEDIATELY!!!! I have a separate air pump I bought a couple of years ago, so I did not need the starter/air-pump combo. Thanks a bunch.
My trusty Gooloo 4000 has jumped dozens different cars and countless lawn equipment and I owe that 100% to your scientific research. Thank you again sir!
I've owned the gooloo4000 for about 2 years now. It goes everywhere with me and it has saved the day countless number of times. I'm glad it tested so well. Its my favorite portable jump starter and I've owned a few
Yeah for value and capability I would also go with the Gooloo 4000. If you live in extra cold climate like say Alaska then it would probably be worth it to buy the KeenPower or one of the other capacitor options as they are rated down to -45 F degrees.
Based on his testing a year or 2 ago, I bought a NOCO GB40 for about $100. Its awesome. I've helped my kids, friends and coworkers. Its worth every penny
I have a 4 year old gooloo 800a and it still works like a charm. I've used it about once a year on various vehicles and works every time. I hardly charge the thing it is left in my truck. They come in handy even when you need a 12 volt source. Great video as always!
I bought 2 Gooloo 4000's based on PF's previous tests a couple years ago and both have been flawless. I used mine to help a coworker get his Ford superduty started. He laughed when I got it out and was shocked that it spun the motor over easily and started right up. He bought one that same day.
Best video I've watched in a while. Very thorough, lots of products tested, and my fav part is how you wasted no time. No filler chit chat just info and testing examples pouring out as fast as can be while still being digestible. These videos take a lot of time and $ so i really appreciate it.
I had a Noco in the trunk of our car and tucked it in a pocket that stay cool even if parked all day in the hot sun. The case expanded and I threw it away as per Noco directions. I bought a Autowit capacitor to replace it and it works. Just wait a few minutes to let it charge up even with the battery on low voltage and the car started right up. Looking at the Kenn Power Capacitor for the truck. Thanks for the great reviews.
An idea for you would be to do a follow up a year or two from now. Fully charge all your boosters and let them sit, see which one holds the charge. Include the ones tested in 2022 to show if battery age is a factor. Most users won't fully charge their booster before using it, many (myself included) charged it once and left it in the trunk.
My Gooloo GT4000 has been sitting my Escape since last winter. We get down to -35*C. Used it a bunch last winter without charging it, when it was in the 60% range I charged it and threw it back into the car. After a year of sitting in there not touching it, display shows 91% life left. I bought it brand new last year.
Since you're in the great white North, I'd also like to request a mid-winter test of a cold soaked engine but a warm jump starter. If a jump starter passes that you could do a cold engine/cold jump box test. That would be a very real world, valuable test.
A few years back I bought the Audew jumper pack based on your video and I can say it did not disappoint. When my battery died of old age, the Audew work as needed to start my car and get me to work. I check on it now and then and it still hold a full charge over very long time periods. Thanks for all the great videos and in info they contain.
YOU are the best tester that I have seen on TH-cam. You answered all my questions with your tests. It was great...even making a battery look a like product to simulate another battery was perfect. I wanted to know exactly if a jump pack could start a completely dead battery. You are the best. Great job
Bought a GOOLOO last year on the recommendation of *Chickanic.* Have used it multiple times, even on totally dead batteries. GOOLOO ROCKS!!! Thanks for the video! 👍
I've done roadside assistance for almost 12 years and have used over 10 different boxes. Most were the bigger jumpbox es Jnc 660, 770,Schumacher 2200 etc.. My favorite has been the Gooloo 4000 by far. I've jumped a minimum of 500 cars with it and it's still as strong as ever. I bought a second one just because of the price. I haven't tried the Noco because of the price but alot of techs love them as well.
jnc 660 is my favorite. nocoboost gb150 is impressive. i think im going to recommend gooloo first for a while. i bought this 4000a but my coworker has an older one and hes got plenty of people up and going as well
@@jacobmanalang8162 if you are doing roadside assistance as a job. You definitely need a bigger box like the jnc660 because the Gooloo will only stay on around 10 seconds and sometimes that alternator don't kick on so the bigger boxes help in those situations . Plus I've hooked one up to the battery for a customer and followed them to a AutoZone to get a battery. Luckily it was a charger so the battery was in the trunk so I could leave the jump box connected
My jump starter also includes a couple AC outlets. This has been very handy in remote situations, or during power outages. It's more than enough to keep cell phones, laptops, and tablets charged several times. Thanks for all you do ~ Chuck
Finally was able to use my Vector 1200 portable hand held jump starter on a Honda Ridgeline. Completely dead battery and the Vector did the job with no problem. Hooked it up the gauges went up and the Vector saved the day. You may have jumper cables in your vehicle but they are no good unless you have another vehicle around. I will always have a hand held portable jump starter in my vehicles. Makes a great gift. Easy to use. All family members can learn in just a few minutes.
I have a smaller NOCo boost sport GB20 - aimed specifically for my 1200cc V4 motorcycle. But i have used it succesfully on 1.6 Diesel all the way to 2.5 litre diesel - doing about 12 starts on diesel engines before registering any drop in charge. I think I may have bought it based on your earlier videos, so thank you.
Hi Todd thanks man! I have the noco 155 for the last 2 years. The thing is a monster. It has started many gasoline vehicles from 3 to 6 liters in harsh Minnesota winters. We liked it so much that we bought extra ones for my wife’s and father in law’s car.
Has NOCO's build quality increased? 7-8 years ago when li-ion packs were still relatively new to the market, the tear down videos if NOCO jump packs showed how terrible their internal electronics were. Even back then, Gooloo's quality was way ahead of NOCO. Of course, 7-8 years is plenty of time for NOCO to make improvements.
@ProjectFarm thought this might be of interest for you. Last night, I went to go jump start my old Tacoma that hasn't been driven in a month. The battery was at around 7v. I used my Gooloo 600A starter purchased in 2016 to jump it. It started the first try, although after a couple slow engine turns at first. The Gooloo was at 3 out of 5 lights charged, and the ambient temp was 38F. Engine is a 3.4l V6.
Based on these reviews, I picked up the slightly smaller GooLoo GT3000. I had the opportunity to test it out today, on a box truck with a 6.8L gas engine, battery was drained to approx. 9V. This jumpstarter fired it right up in just a couple of cranks, very impressive! These GooLoo products are awesome, and if you're looking to save a few bucks, this proves their lower powered options are good too, especially if you don't plan on starting massive engines. Thanks for the video @ProjectFarm!
The new GOOLOO GT3000 and GT4000 models they recently released are the best jump starters I’ve ever used. They both have 100W 2-way USB C fast charging, insane cranking power, and a built in flashlight. The GT4000 even has a built in battery heater that allows it to work in temps up to something like -40 degrees. I would recommend them over any other model or brand.
@@rmat9023 The GT4000 has a heating function that warms the internal battery in cold weather so that you can use the jump starter in subzero temperatures without it failing.
@@HCGI assume it's something you switch on when needed and not always enabled on its own, is that correct? How long does it take to warm up after turning it on, and does it indicate when it's up to operating temp?

I already know that I will NEED my Gooloo today as my battery dies in 48 hours and I last drove on Thursday! Your product has saved me many times as I do not drive often and there is a drain somewhere in my car. So my battery drains to nothing and the Gooloo gets me going again! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
@@Gloria-ChenI think you need to put a battery disconnect on your car\batts. Pretty easy to do, can buy one at auto parts stores. Finding the voltage drain could be good too, but may be harder to do. Check glove box light switch or another light that switches from opening a door\hood etc. Good to have the lil jump pack tho anyways. 👍🔌⚡🔋🔧⚠️🔩🤔😄
@@Gloria-Chen car batteries are not designed to be discharged and doing so a few times will kill the battery so it wont charge at all. Also it can damage the alternator, if you cant get it fixed you need to remove the cable after driving it.
I've used my Gooloo 4000 MANY times over the last few years! Have one in my wife, mother & sons vehicles also. With the 4000 I've jumped a 5.4 F250 3Xs & jeep 3.0 5Xs one one charge & still had juice leftover. GREAT jumper!!
I've owned a NOCO GB40 for 5 years now and it's never let me down when I needed it. I purchased a GOOLOO GP4000 as a Christmas present for my dad and he loves it. Thanks for these excellent recommendations Project Farm!
What I love about your channel and videos Todd, is that you'll test these obscure brands that as consumers we wouldn't give a second look or trust. Keep em' coming, Todd! Thanks for all your hard work!
A lot of these look like “gibberish” brand names created by Chinese companies in order to game the trademark system (a requirement to be eligible for Amazon’s Brand Registry).

Ryobi recently came out with a cordless jump starter using their batteries (model P7101A); could be something cool to add to the next jump starter test as well as if any other brands follow suite and bring out their own
I have a bunch of Ryobi 18v and 40v batteris but the Ryobi jump starter is $200 at Home Depot. Is Ryobi stupid or really think people will spend $200 for something that costs maybe $20 to make and is twice the price of jump starters that have batteries?
@@gzfraud - I’m waiting for them to get discounted at DTO. Looks like these other brands can be had for between $100 and $150 so that kind of price might make it a buy.
These things are mandatory in my opinion. Over the years I’ve seen jumper cables melt, batteries and alternators ruined by incorrect polarity and some comedy/tragedy moments trying move vehicles to get the cables to reach. My WINPRO has saved the day for myself and others in the past several years. Another great video.
I absolutely love your channel. You do a great job testing … and educating. You are a staple in my book! I have made many purchases based on your advice… thank you and keep up the unbiased work!
I bought the same noco after seeing your reviews. I’ve used it for 3 years to run the macerater on my rv as well as start every vehicle I own including my Cummins ram. I love these battery banks, they are lifesavers. I love your reviews, so helpful.
I've still got my Audew 2200 from a few years ago after your reviews and I can't tell you how many people it has rescued, and is still going strong. These things look so unlikely to achieve what they set out to do, but they really can cut the mustard (if you note Todds recommendations that is). Great job on the 2023 ones, they nearly all accomplished your tasks - the early ones not so much. Cheers Mr Farm!
Sadly my Audew - also bought after Todd's review - failed after less than 18 months. Would drain from full charge in less than two hours. I still haven't decided on an alternative, .
My good old Jump-N-Carry JNC950 is still my choice. It's worked every time I've needed it (when I remember to charge it), they last a very long time, and you can fix it if necessary. They've been the standard for most shops for a reason.
I bought the gooloo 4000 after your first jump pack test and it's been phenomenal. Lasts many uses between charges and it's never struggled to start my car
The Gooloo 4000 i got after watching the original jump starter videos has definitely shown its value with starting vehicles without block heaters and weak batteries. Thanks for showing us the facts / real world scenario tests on these as it really helps when looking for reliable products.
I've been using Goolo GP4000 for the last 2 years up to several times a week on my customers cars ever since I saw it in your video. It's still going strong and I haven't had any issues with it. Much better than my previous jump starter. For the price it's a very good jumper, it will certainly save you from being stranded due to a low battery
Year or so ago I dropped the big money on a NOCO jump starter that you gave a great review to when my old store brand unit started showing signs of failure. Cannot thank you enough! Left my dashcam on by mistake when I left my car parked for a couple weeks and if not for the NOCO I would have had to put my current road trip on hold. Saved my bacon for sure!
I carry the smaller 1500 amp rated noco myself, not great capacity but it'll still kick over any big block out there solo. You should definitely test the more affordable noco options to see how they stack up on the next one.
@ducewags710 haven't ever seen -40 in person, actually. I live in west texas, but it cranked a 12v cummims at 5 below Fahrenheit that one February with no battery help, it was slow, but it fired, so I'd say it's plenty for 99% of people with anything smaller than an explorer.
@superspeeder as a tow truck operator I carry the gb70, have had very few instances where a vehicle was dead that it wouldn't start a vehicle. Been carrying it for about 3 years. I very rarely pull out the company issued lead acid jump pack. More often then not its because of the temperature or the jump pack is dead that I need the lead acid jump pack.
@@ducewags do you live in -40? Even if you do, this review didn’t cool these things down even close to that far. If you live in -40 you need heaters… block heater, transmission heater, butt heater, lol
I saw one of your tests about 3-4 years ago and bought the DB Power jump starter. Over the last few years, I have jump started at least 5 vehicles that were stranded. It seems to work fine and I got a pretty good deal on it.
Thank you so much for this posting! I am stranded.... at home with a dead battery, ... and my Toyota Camry has one-week-old new alternator, OEM alternator belt, and new battery. The fix is simple as my very kind neighbors will roll-up and my 25' cables will get me going.... BUT... your solutions are far better as I often am starting my day at 4AM, when neighbors prefer rest. Thank you for all your amazing reviews and the testing gear and process that proves what is effective.
100% saved myself and others with jumpstarters! I'm in Canada, and not the beachy part so yeah we see -36 C a few times a year. We need these things! Great test as always. You put in a tonne of effort and we appreciate it!!!
I bought an audew after your first jump starter video. I’ve been thoroughly pleased with its performance. I use it a few times a month to start up a project vehicle I’m working on(doesn’t even have a battery) I’m still blown away every time I use it. All that power in a tiny box is like magic.
I bought the Gooloo a few yrs ago. I'm glad it did so well in the tests because I was never that sure I had bought well. Thanks for such a thorough testing of these units as you usually do!
I'm 6 months into owning my Gooloo GP4000. It has done an excellent job so far. The biggest engine I've started it with is my 5.3 in my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I've started a whole bunch of mowers with it. I charged it when I first received it and haven't had to recharge it yet. It still displays a full charge. In a comparison with a heavy duty set of jumper cables, the Gooloo wins hands down.
Can you test the Water Reverse Osmosis Systems next? Brands like Aquatru, Waterdrop, Nuaqua, ect. If possible, can you include under sink systems and countertop systems? Thanks a bunch
We bought a Noco GBX155 early this year, and it has been seriously impressive. My 4440 John Deere was totally dead from me not turning the key off after I shut the fuel off. It started immediately after getting hooked to the NOCO. I've jumped 7.3 Powerstrokes, I believe I even jumped an 8.3 Cummins with it and it had no problem.
I have a Micro-Start XP-1 I’ve had for years that has jumped about a dozen cars and one diesel pickup no problem and still works. Sits for months unused then performs when called upon. For blowing up tires my AstroAI 12v pump does the job perfectly.
One of the things you prove in almost every video you make is that you don’t have to spend a lot to get a lot. High price doesn’t equal high quality. More people need to subscribe to this channel. Keep rocking!
Absolutely love the depth of testing with these, it's not always easy or practical to get a boost from another vehicle. Excellent job helping us to make an informed purchase!
As always, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your testing all of the products that you do. It saves a tremendous amount of time and aggravation trying to figure out which one is the best. So thanks again.
Check out the Hulkman 85s or 10.0s jump starters in 2024. It's saved me more then once in the Wisconsin winter (till I realized my dash cam was the culprit). It's right up there with Noco but also has a built-in heater and a wired name. It's what the Hompow is trying to imitate. Great videos keep it up!
Probably an expensive endeavor but a video on those portable power stations / “solar generators” would be really helpful. They’re a lot of money and knowing which offers the best value would be wonderful :) thanks for this one, it helped a lot!
I just linked this video into a solar power forum where people know what watts are, and can do math. The fact that this is useful in a place like that just gives me ANOTHER occasion to appreciate the great work you do! Thanks for another great one!
This is really useful info because hardly anyone is going to test their jump starter until they really need it, and now we have a better idea of what works and what doesn't.
I really appreciate this video as I'm in the market. What would have made it better is if the test vehicles had sat out in the cold prior to testing. Winter temps here in Minnesota are a factor. Keep up the great work!
Based off your previous testing I bought a Yesper. No inflator, but I have a better one in my truck anyway. Original price was $139 but picked it up for $69 usd. Thanks for what you do!
I have bought the gooloo4000 based off your testing a couple of years ago and it has not let me down yet. Its very reliable! Thanks for all that you do!
Good to see these being tested, there are so many knock off brands it’s hard to know which are decent. I didn’t see Hulkman tested, they have 11,000+ reviews on Amazon. I have one and it seems well built and has worked well for me.
Was at a shop recently and saw they had a NOCO on charge. Asked them how they liked it, said it was the best they ever had. They had Gooloo before that but they would all eventually fail. I'd expect that for the price range and their heavier than normal usage.
Keep ups the good work. Just ordered the VTOMAN after seeing your video. I have bought many products based on your reviews, and I have never been disappointed.
Add another “saved my butt” story to the pile. Just a couple days ago I needed to use the Noco that I bought after one of your previous videos. Fired it right up!
Just used my Gooloo 4000 to jump a cold 7.3L powerstroke in 16 degree weather. Started up first try and cranked fast. Impressive product. I purchased it because of your previous review. Those supercapacitor jump packs seem very promising for frequent jumps.
@Project Farm I just really want to thank you for what you do and have done all these years with all the testing setup and info. I've watched and been subbed to you forever and you are the go-to for down to the point information for the average Joe. You give honest useful information and save folks like myself countless money. Everybody that knows about your channel knows youre legit gtg. When im researching thru the sometimes countless always confusing sea of different options knowing manufacturers, especially ones over yunder, embellish claims or even flatout lie, its a huge help to have you as my go-to place. Anyway ill get off your testies now lol. Thank you sir.
Would love to see you test light bulbs in Homes to see if they last as many hours as they claim as well as what the real electrical usage is. Love your work!
I bought my LokiThor last year when the 12V lead acid battery in my EV was dyeing. (In part because my dog's name is Loki!) It did well enough to get me from "Conditions unsafe to shift" to driving home a few times. I eventually replaced the 12V battery. But I now have a jump starter if I need it for me, or for others! I really appreciate the tests and the comparisons that Project Farm puts into these videos! This is awesome public service!
I bought 2 yesper 4120a jump starters based on one of your videos. They work great. I've rescued 2 strangers, my honda pilot, kia sorento, chevy 1 ton van, and 2 riding lawn mowers with them. Everyone should have one of these in every vehicle they own.
Thank you so much for making this video! Your labor of love is incredible, and it's making others more well informed, which makes the whole market better!
Ive got the smaller version (GBX55) of that noco and am VERY happy with it. It can start my 6.6L Duramax when both of the batteries are dead. I really like that I don't need a special charger for it, it uses USB-C, just like my phone.
Here's the list of Jump Starters that I tested. Please see the video description for more details on the review. Thanks again for all the positive feedback on the 2023 jump starter review!

@chrischapman3586 I manage a fleet of freightliner Cascadia. I also do road service calls for other companies. Every time I use it, drivers look at me like I'm on drugs.
@@BigVictor They're allowed to use misleading data here in advertising though, as long as they put the truth somewhere in the fine print.
The higher quality ones may not be lying the BMS might be cutting out to save the battery the cheaper ones are probably lying tho.
not everything, just stuff from off brands
It's the same way with stereo components that claim to put out hundreds, if not thousands of watts when most put out far less than 100 watts when measured correctly and they've been doing that for decades.
this guys videos are an incredible resource to make the best and smart purchases! i also like that the host talks fast. there is NO FAT in his words. lean and only the necessary info without all the chatter and filler. 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said.
We appreciate your comments and viewers like you. - Eddie
"weighed as much as a blind date" 😂🤣😂🤣
I'm fat, but that's still funny.

I bought a Gooloo based off your last video. We have a diesel tractor that has a short in it and it always drains the battery no matter what we do. The gooloo jumps it first time every time and as long as you don't accidentally leave it out in the rain it works fantastically. Love the gooloo!
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for sharing.
Fix your car..... obviously something wrong batteries don't drain from 7 weeks of sitting something pulling power when it not supposed to be
My brother-in-law has a noco and he really likes it.
My wife has the NOCO. It gets used, ahem, far too often. Works great.
Thanks for the feedback.
@@BillyBobDingledorf My lithium phosphate camper leisure battery has, to quote "a
very low self-discharge rate (less than 3% per month)".

One thing FOR the capacitor bank is that heat doesn't kill it. I have lost 2 battery packs due to extreme heat in my cars during our summers.
And in cold weather it actually gets better performance.
How do/did you know they were lost when they went?
Battery will have a longer life span around 80% shouldnt realy drain much sitting around
Thanks for the suggestion.
Great idea. Real world applications are likely to be someone that will fully charge it and leave it in their car unchecked for a long duration.
A few years back I bought the Audew jumper pack based on your video and I can say it did not disappoint. When my battery died of old age, the Audew work as needed to start my car and get me to work. I check on it now and then and it still hold a full charge over very long time periods. Thanks for all the great videos and in info they contain.

@@jacobmanalang8162 if you are doing roadside assistance as a job. Gooloo is a no brainer, so far it's been the most consistent and reliable jump pack, along w the NOCO
Great point on both brands. They cost more but they are both very reliable.

Thanks for the feedback.
I've owned a NOCO GB40 for 5 years now and it's never let me down when I needed it. I purchased a GOOLOO GP4000 as a Christmas present for my dad and he loves it. Thanks for these excellent recommendations Project Farm!
You are welcome!

Thanks!
Ryobi recently came out with a cordless jump starter using their batteries (model P7101A); could be something cool to add to the next jump starter test as well as if any other brands follow suite and bring out their own
I am a fan of using batteries that I already have, so the Ryobi jump starter is one I really want to see. Dewalt has a jump starter as well.
Thank you for sharing!
@@stevebabiak6997 Yep. best deal is on sales on refurbished.
Is it possible to witness the houses burnt down by these Lithium batteries in torture mode? 😅
I absolutely love your channel. You do a great job testing … and educating. You are a staple in my book! I have made many purchases based on your advice… thank you and keep up the unbiased work!
Thanks, will do!
I bought the same noco after seeing your reviews. I’ve used it for 3 years to run the macerater on my rv as well as start every vehicle I own including my Cummins ram. I love these battery banks, they are lifesavers. I love your reviews, so helpful.
Thank you!
I still haven't decided on an alternative,
.
Mine is still going strong. I used it a few times on my van and many times on my mower.
@@robertheinkel6225How do you hook it up to a lawn mower? I'd like to start doing that.
I've had 2, neither would turn an egg over.
I still have my Audew from about 2020 and I’ve jumped 30+ vehicles and it’s still going strong, I keep it in the car during the cold winters
My good old Jump-N-Carry JNC950 is still my choice. It's worked every time I've needed it (when I remember to charge it), they last a very long time, and you can fix it if necessary. They've been the standard for most shops for a reason.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Thanks for supporting the channel! I really appreciate it!
I bought the gooloo 4000 after your first jump pack test and it's been phenomenal. Lasts many uses between charges and it's never struggled to start my car
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing.
Just got one for $60 it's a 4200
Year or so ago I dropped the big money on a NOCO jump starter that you gave a great review to when my old store brand unit started showing signs of failure. Cannot thank you enough!
Left my dashcam on by mistake when I left my car parked for a couple weeks and if not for the NOCO I would have had to put my current road trip on hold. Saved my bacon for sure!
Thanks for sharing!
I carry the smaller 1500 amp rated noco myself, not great capacity but it'll still kick over any big block out there solo. You should definitely test the more affordable noco options to see how they stack up on the next one.
+1 to see the GBX75 next time!
@admiral_peck7834 Will it start that big block at -40 or colder is the question.
Thanks and you are welcome!
100% saved myself and others with jumpstarters! I'm in Canada, and not the beachy part so yeah we see -36 C a few times a year. We need these things! Great test as always. You put in a tonne of effort and we appreciate it!!!
im also in a cold area, which ones have you used that hold up in those temps?
I bought an audew after your first jump starter video. I’ve been thoroughly pleased with its performance. I use it a few times a month to start up a project vehicle I’m working on(doesn’t even have a battery) I’m still blown away every time I use it. All that power in a tiny box is like magic.
Thanks for the feedback.
I was wondering why you don't test the Audew again, I bought one after your recommendation it is a great jump box. And thanks keep up the great work.
Hahaha that’s the one I bought from one of his videos also!! I still have it , it’s amazing
I bought the Gooloo a few yrs ago. I'm glad it did so well in the tests because I was never that sure I had bought well. Thanks for such a thorough testing of these units as you usually do!
Thanks for feedback!
Thank you for the video idea!
Apc and I spring too

Keep rocking!
all consumers of tools in America are indebted to ProjectFarm for these tests.
Absolutely love the depth of testing with these, it's not always easy or practical to get a boost from another vehicle. Excellent job helping us to make an informed purchase!
Thank you!
As always, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your testing all of the products that you do. It saves a tremendous amount of time and aggravation trying to figure out which one is the best. So thanks again.
You are welcome!
Thanks, will do!
You are welcome!
This is really useful info because hardly anyone is going to test their jump starter until they really need it, and now we have a better idea of what works and what doesn't.
Thank you for sharing!
I really appreciate this video as I'm in the market. What would have made it better is if the test vehicles had sat out in the cold prior to testing. Winter temps here in Minnesota are a factor. Keep up the great work!
A head to head comparison of mobile box systems would be great to see. Packout, t-stack, the new toughbuilt system etc.

Yes, this. I'm looking for something to organize my tools when traveling cross country.
GREAT job AGAIN!! I got the Audew from 5 years ago and it is STILL going strong. Used it at least 10 times for my cars and friends.

Thanks for the feedback!
My hulkman alpha 100 has been amazing for my duramax.
LOVE the videos, never miss. Some suggestions for future videos: Rotary tools like Dremel or generic brands, dash cams, pad locks, plasma cutters.
Thank you for the video ideas!
Was at a shop recently and saw they had a NOCO on charge. Asked them how they liked it, said it was the best they ever had. They had Gooloo before that but they would all eventually fail. I'd expect that for the price range and their heavier than normal usage.
Suggested Video: construction helmets - overall durability and crash test.

Thanks, will do!
Add another “saved my butt” story to the pile. Just a couple days ago I needed to use the Noco that I bought after one of your previous videos. Fired it right up!
Awesome!! It means a lot to me to know that the reviews help people!!

How long till TH-cam is censoring these types of channels?
Would love to see you test light bulbs in Homes to see if they last as many hours as they claim as well as what the real electrical usage is.
Love your work!
Thanks for the positive feedback!!
Thanks and you are welcome!
I bought 2 yesper 4120a jump starters based on one of your videos. They work great. I've rescued 2 strangers, my honda pilot, kia sorento, chevy 1 ton van, and 2 riding lawn mowers with them. Everyone should have one of these in every vehicle they own.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you so much for making this video! Your labor of love is incredible, and it's making others more well informed, which makes the whole market better!
You are so welcome!
Ive got the smaller version (GBX55) of that noco and am VERY happy with it. It can start my 6.6L Duramax when both of the batteries are dead. I really like that I don't need a special charger for it, it uses USB-C, just like my phone.
Thanks for the feedback.
