I'm here from a post on LinkedIn. Wish I had seen this 9 years ago. Great presentation, DCB!

I think this is the most important TED talk I've ever viewed. It feels like you are speaking directly to me. I've always been a "next shiny object" seeker, but I'm finally at the place in my life where I am focusing on doing things that make a difference, rather than just doing things because they are interesting. Thank you for this inspiration. I'm going to watch your talk every day

“It’s not lack of opportunities, is lack of courage” ufffff 🤯

Very true. Opportunity is endless. Focusing and choosing by eliminating choices; Saying no to what is easy and choosing yes to the monotonous and routine is not common. However, I completely agree that those that make little impact in this world are those that spread themselves thin; Those that try to know a little bit of everything rather than know allot about a little. It's difficult to admit these flaws within myself. It's easy to disagree and pretend to br something I'm not. Great presentation with great content.

oh, he points out such a good point here. First when I have just graduated, I am always afraid that I couldn't find good opportunities so I say yes to most random things. Recently, when I started my business, I am also afraid of saying no because I thought good opportunities are rare and they won't come again, but after a while I realize how wrong I am. Opportunities come constantly because I am good at my job. But, unfortunately, I don't focus hard enough to level up my product and marketing strategy to push my rate, now I truly understand his words. If you are good, opportunities will obviously come. The point here is you must have courage to say "No"

I enjoy the joke and strategy of overcoming his "delivery deficiency".... wear a wild shirt and ostrich boots so you focus on his content...CLEVER!
