Dude! I swear u read my mind. I've been thinking that I just didn't have the throttle response I should, or want. Have the power but always thought/ or wanted my pedal to be a bit more "touchy" like in my older carbureted cars. You may have solved my concern! I will definitely be trying this and let ya know. Thanks!
Let me know how it works out for you - I thought the throttle response was a little sharper & I could hear the intake again. I haven't really heard that since I 1st installed the K&N.
The dealership flashed my new 2019 Grand Cherokee transmission and it's been back twice because it just does not drive the same. Sluggish, shifty and lacked the linear acceleration it had prior to the flash. I performed this reset yesterday and I can't believe how much better the vehicle drives! And why doesn't the dealership know this...shameful?! Thank you!!!
Thanks for the help! I first noticed troubles in performance after I did CAI and high flow exhaust to my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7. I was just about to buy a tuner thinking I had no other option, but all my truck needed was a PCM reset (unplug negative terminal on battery for 20min) and to recalibrate the throttle. I just tried it out yesterday, and already noticed my truck running much smoother and more fuel efficient! For anyone with the same problems. Start here!
Tried this on my 2017 charger R/T and I must say thanks for the info on how to do this. It really does work.. made a jump of about 10 miles on my range.. and car is lil bit more responsive.. thank you.. it needed it..
Drove about 100 yards before trying this just to get a fresh feel after sitting overnight. Have to say, after doing this the exhaust note was noticeably different upon startup. Definitely deeper and more intake noise. Thanks!
Thanks, I tried it on my Dodge Journey 2017 and it worked perfectly. before this attempt, I felt it was a little rough and not responding like when i first got it. now the car is wonderful. Thanks a lot . Now I am doing it once a month. I am from Iraq and have been searching on TH-cam for anything related to my case and finally got your post. Appreciate your support.
Dude, great info & amazing find!!! I have a '16 Charger ScatPack and did the calibration. I felt an instant improvement. So much that I thought that it was in my head so I didn't tell my "Lead footed" wife. The next morning, the first thing my wife said was "Those new rear tires are fantastic!!! (I just mounted new rear tires) and the car "Hooks up" better and just wants to go".
hahaha that's great! Really happy it worked for you. I honestly thought it was going to be nonsense myself but as soon as I got on it while on the highway, it felt great. Thanks for trying it & coming back to confirm it works.
Just tried it on my 13' rt ive have a cold air intake and exhaust on it for months and i can finally hear my intake and i did notice a better pick up on throttle response thanks man u just earned yourself a new subscriber
Hello I have dodge charger 2009 throttle body sign coming up and start and run but cut off I changed fuel pump and filter most of the sensors besides the up and down stream
I just did this about 45 mins ago before I took my daughter to work 5/18... I have the 15' Challenger Scat Pack bone stock. I can honestly say in normal mode it drove a lil smoother and felt less sluggish, but then I put it in sport... needless to say it made me turn my music up and put my Raiders hat on lol. This works to my surprise because I am skeptical of EVERYTHING. Thanks R/T Life for sharing the knowledge, we shall enjoy our Mopar as it's meant to be!
Thank you for giving this a try & coming back to leave a comment! It helps others that are skeptical about it. Glad this worked for you as well, enjoy that Hemi!
I was skeptical whether this would work or not but got straight to it after I got out of work just now. Unbelievable, really amped the shit out of my throttle as well as the air box making itself heard. Adrenaline rush like no other, it worked for me. Thank You for this video made it home a whole lot faster! ~2016 Charger R/T
I have 2016 Challenger SXT. I’ve tried this twice and dint notice any difference... then I tried it again yesterday and it was like brand new again. Brought a smile to my face. I guess I wasn’t doing it correctly the first 2 time I tried... will be doing this at least once a month from now on.. Got; K&N CAI Flow master cat back Pedal commander
Nice! Glad it worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - helps others looking into this. Great stuff & enjoy that Mopar - mod on!
Oh my man it's official!!!! I installed flowmaster American thunder exhaust on my 14 rt charger last year....and when I floor it became hesitant to go, had that problem until tonight...I did what you showed in video..put the car in reverse and as I hit the throttle.. my rear tire squealed... the smile on my face...I shifted to first and the response was nothing like I felt before, as I shifted into the higher gears that thing took off with no hesitation ..I began squealing my 295/25/22" tires with ease.. something I wasn't able to do until tonight... the cool thing is it responds way better without sportmode on ...smh ...a whole year of sluggish hard throttle up until tonight.... lol... thanks R/T life salute and keep us educated
My word...after doing this to my 2016 hellcat its a different car. SO FAST. Totally different feel. It was already fast but now the only way I can describe it is its solid and feels tight. Thank you very much.
Dude huge huge difference. She was sluggish and I was gonna get the pedal commander contraption but I don’t think so now. The throttle is soooo responsive now. Thx for the heads up man! I’m Gil btw.
I tried this on my 15 RT. I have straight exhaust, CAI, and Diablo Sport Pcm with a custom dyno tune. I didn't think it would do anything with the pcm and tune but WOW! I noticed a big throttle response gain and also the car is louder like you said in vid. Almost like its allowing more air in.
Thanks man for taking the time to give feedback, it helps others on the fence on giving it a shot. Very happy it worked out for you & helped! Appreciate the continued channel support!
The tips and tricks you put out are great thanks for doing the research from the daytime Running lights to the removal of traction control it’s all good stuff I’m a diehard Mopar man myself
Man I cant thank you enough my 19 rt charger was lagging and I did this and my baby is back on beat thanks so much brodie you saved me a trip to the dealership 💪🏾💪🏾💨💨💨
Dude this video is gold for Mopar people. I'm driving my 16 R/T thinking something wrong with it! I would literally floor it in sport mode and not get the response that I got when I drove off the lot, it felt weak. I'm glad you took the time to do research and share it with others...
I was so frustrated that my '17 Ram seemed like it had lost its ability to give me whiplash when I stomped on the gas. Then I tried your suggestion and now I'm fishtailing and skidding all over the place without even meaning to. Thanks very much!
I tried it on Peugeot 508 turbo model 2012 and it felt great I was suffering lag and bad gas milage now it has fast response more power and better gas milage. Thank you
This worked for me! 2011 Ram 1500 5.7L. When the engine hadn't fully warmed up yet, the truck would stall and shut off when slowly rolling up at lights and stop signs. Now the truck doesn't drop below the norm 500rpm. Thanks for sharing! *fist bump*
This did work for my 2017 chevy malibu. The take-off is much better now. I'll see how long this holds up. I was gonna buy a new throttle body with the new sensor but now I might can save that money a little while longer. Thanks again. Glad you did a video for this issue.🇺🇸👍🏾
Ok this made me really happy! I've got a 2016 Charger SXT with a K&N CAI, and some flow master 10s on there (baby stuff I know) but I just did that and noticed my est MPG go up by 5. Also, a MUCH QUICKER response when I needed to pick up n go. Thanks for the video and slamming down the knowledge!!!
Have to say this does work and gives a noticeable difference. When and if it gets sluggish again, just do the relearn again and off you go. Also read about pulling fuse #2 for older vehicles or fuse #31 for new but this is easier with what seems the same results.
Once again, you are spot on bro. Pragmatic and never conjecture or bullshit. It absolutely took all the “vague” feeling out of the 2014 super trac pak , 6 speed RT Plus. I researched your boys in Galeana/Mopar Pro shop, going to talk to Frog 🐸 on Monday and make the drive up from St. Louis it’s about 4 hours for me. Thinking I’m gonna go right to stage 2.......😎
Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback for others. The guys at moparproshop were very helpful with all of my questions, def cool people over there. Good luck on stage 2!
Next step will be a pedal commander.. love the info you give.. new to the hemi world and am enjoying it. And more informed cause of your channel.. thanks
You will really enjoy that pedal commander - the throttle response is on another level. Thank you for the support & welcome to the hemi world, it's a shit ton of fun!
I just did this to my 5.7 t/a awesome it’s like a new car I just recently bought the car used and I was told that the previous owner babied the car and this trick woke up that hemi thanks so much
I have a 2016 5.7 r/t challenger 6 speed manual transmission with the hellcat ram air intake and a k&n high flow air filter. I also have a 2.5'' catback exhaust electric cutouts on my car. it never had the power to do a burn out rolling from 20mph and hitting the gas tell now. My car pulls so much harder its crazy. Thank you for this tip :)
Thanks very much for this post. I was looking for a "How to" clean a throttle body, and found your post. So I tried it, and it worked great, no more lag or hesitation. I have a V6 SXT Challenger, and noticed over the past few months a clunking sound and almost like the car was being held back. Not any more (hehehe) tonight I squealed the tires just to help the re-learn process...Don, from Canada.
I can't believe it. It has been totally different. It seems to be as your first drive after modifying. I tried two times with different ways. Second one works with me. its just pressing the pedal 3 times slowly. Then it worked. Now I dont have noise or rattling exhaust, The performance also returned back healthy.
My 2018 Rt challenger has only 600 miles, throttle response weak. Just did your procedure. Wow, spinning the tires with just a tap of the throttle. Was going to buy the pedal commander, no need I’m happy now. Thanks, keep up the great work. I also love thae fact that every other word is not F__k. in your videos.
this works! before I was having to press harder on my pedal to get it to go, now I'm lightly tapping it and its going as if I'm pressing hard. i have a 2017 Dodge Charger R/T.
Tried this trick on 2013 ram hemi. It worked. I wouldn't say it feels the same as when I purchased it 4 years ago, but it is definitely noticeable and smoother on the pedal. Thanks for the vid!
I have a 2008 town and country I had it sitting at a mechanic for about 4 months while I got the money to have a used transmission put in. When I got the car back he said I had to have the throttle body reset. I am going to try this I hope it works and save me some serious time and money! Thanks so much will try this in about an hour wish me luck!
🙌🏾 Dude! I’ve been doing so much research, trying to figure out what was wrong, and why my dodge was feeling unresponsive after a CAI install. Was close to purchasing a new throttle body... then seen your video. Night and Day difference.
@@truumixx3789 Put the car in run mode without actually starting the engine, hold the pedal down for 30 secs to a minute, turn the car off, then start the car normally.
@@truumixx3789 pressing the button twice without using the brake pedal. You can tell when you do it because it will show how much gas you have in your tank without the engine being on. Also, if you look above the start button it should have little lights that says stuff like off - accessories - run
I saw this video and just tried it on my 18 DD R/T after reading some other forums as well. I turned it to run, waited for dash lights to turn off other than check engine. I started pushing the pedal slow and the engine light started flashing, which was a good sign. Held the pedal for 20 seconds at the floor, brought it up and turned the car off. Then I turned it back on. This definitely worked. The car acts like I’m pushing the pedal down harder than I actually am and seems to shift a bit later. Almost like a hybrid sport mode, since I’m still in ECO mode while driving around normally. Thanks for the heads up that something like this existed. I just hope the computer doesn’t automatically reset it to factory every time I drive.
Thank you so much, after i did the service on my 2017 Charger R/T it felt sluggish and unresponsive and i tried this method and WOW !! My car is so fast now it feels like new again.
Came across this video trying to diagnose a problem with my 16 ram and gave it a try. Didn’t fix the problem but damn sure gave the truck some extra life ...dang. Wasn’t aware I was even missing out that much lately 😂
I don't have a charger... but it works in the avengers as well lol I just replaced the tps which is the whole throttle body and it was still driving crazy till I seen this did it and so far you are the man!!!!!
I just tried this with my 2013 Charger RT and it worked...like holy crap worked! I now have more power, my DTE (Drive till empty went up 25 miles) and the exhaust roars louder to. Oh and doing burn outs is a lot easier now.
I had a hesitation every now and then once I reset in my 2006 Chrysler 300 5.7 I have a cold air intake exhaust stage two Diablo sport tune when I did the re-learn crazy amount of sound a lot faster better pick up thank you this works great
Nice it worked on my 2017 SXT Blacktop too 👍😀 the gas pedal is more agressive and my car isn't shy at all anymore thank you! And i hear the difference also ...more sound more growl!
actually, like you said I guess you are the first to make the throttle relearn on video online. i had this problem with my 16 rt and it kindda got into my head and i was saying wtf thats not a farely 300 something WHP car. I mean the car didn't even loose traction for a second when floring it from 0. so I dug up the internet to fix that or at least someone to tell me it is normal. then i know from online dodge communities that there is something called driving behaviour learn on the car's ECM which adjusts throttle to match the behaviour of the driver. Some said to drive the car insainly is the way to fix that and i said that can fix it, but still this solution is a little risky. after that i found this way exactly and I was shocked after the first try. totally different. thanks for the vid
I'm glad it worked for you! Researching things online is brutal, so I'm trying to make a spot that helps every Mopar owner get info fairly easy. Thank you very much for trying it & taking the time to post up your results! I appreciate the channel support a ton.
I have a 2015 charger with muffler delete and CAI. I did what you instructed, but I also push sports mode and traction control off. Held gas pedal down for minute. Put car back in off then started car up. I will say I noticed a difference. I'm getting the sound I would get in sports mode with out sports mode on. Now with sports mode on it sounds like flame is shooting out the tail pipe.
This was an interesting experiment. My daughters car, 2012 Dodge Avenger, had issues when she bought, the car lot replaced several things, including the throttle body and the PCM. It's been running fine for the last 5 or 6 months, and recently died on her twice, both times at idle. I drove it for a while and noted that when I let of the throttle, the RPM would drop 6-700 RPM, then bounce back up to about where it was. I tried this technique and on the 1st, brief test drive, it seems better. I'll drive it a bit more over the next couple days, but I'm feeling like this was a fix. Thank you for posting.
Works great on 2015 Cherokee 3.2 stock. Great response, smooth acceleration. Best of all it fixed a problem I had. My exhaust, especially at idle, had a rattle sound. I was looking for a broken heat shield or gravel on a heat shield. The exhaust sounded like it was sputtering a bit. This trick fixed it. No rattle sound or sputtering at idle. Great vid.
Btw. It is true that you have a sport mode feel right after without the high revs. I had to relearn my foot as I found myself doing 63km/h where I would normally do the speed limit of 50km/h.
This even worked for my 2020 Ram 1500. After installing a throttle body spacer, it made a cool noise but I felt like it slugged my throttle response and it seemed to only get worse as time went on, and this included acceleration from a dead stop and trying to gain speed while already accelerating. This quick fix brought it right back to life and is back to being extremely responsive.
I just got a Jay Greene tune today and while logging I noticed was only getting 50% WOT while floored. I tried this method and it didn't work. I had to use VCM scanner to relearn the 87mm throttle body. Let me just tell you, Jay Greene knows his stuff when it comes to MOPARs!! Getting his transmission tune tomorrow!!
You’ve saved me from putting a BBK Throttle Body on my new 2018 Challenger GT. I have put a K&N CAI and Flowmaster Catback exhaust on and had driven roughly 1200 Miles after Installation. There was a tremendous lag in throttle response and thought Oh No!! What have I done!!! The Hack you’ve shared cured all concerns. Just followed your instructions and took a 20 mile drive in city & highway speeds. The difference was unbelievable throttle response is now immediate , crisp and no hesitation. Thank you and look forward to any tips you come across for the 3.6L army
Thank you for giving this a try & leaving positive feedback - it really helps others looking into this stuff. I appreciate it & if some more tips/tricks surface I will def make a video. Enjoy that Mopar!
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.7 with 130k miles on it and this trick works amazing. Before my truck was idling at about 500rps and would stall all the time. I changed plugs and wires and cleaned the throttle body and it would still stall when coming to a stop or after starting when it had been siting for a a day or so. Also when I would start after sitting for a while my transmission felt like it would slide into first and sometimes wouldn't move for about 15-20 seconds. I followed the steps. When I started pushing the peddle to the floor and held it there my check engine light started blinking and then after about 10 seconds it stopped. I let out the gas pedal slow and turned it off. I started it back up and right away my idle was at 700ish and held strong. I put it into reverse and the transmission grabbed right away. It never did that before. So I took it for a drive and it ran like a bat out of hell and I could hear the air box sucking air. It seems to reset more that just the throttle body because my truck drives lime a dream now. Thanks for the tip.
I've had my 2012 automatic srt8 challenger for 2.5 years. I have previously owned a 2013 manual srt8. My automatic challenger seemed far less responsive than the manual and I could never figured out why. I added a Cai and flowmaster exhaust and it just seemed nowhere near as fast as my manual challenger that only had a flowmaster exhaust added. I performed your technique and I now feel like I'm getting the experience I paid for. Thank you! Btw I been selling these things for 4 years. 🤦♂️😂
Nice! I'm glad you gave it a shot. I noticed a nice increase in my intake noise when I punched it on the highway. Great Stuff & thank you leaving feedback.
I did a complete tuneup and after I would “jolt” at stops. I assumed it was due to the throttle being upside down for an hour while I was changing the plugs or the sensor being dirty. However, after watching this video, solved the issue. Thanks
I've not heard of that one before but I'll give it a shot and let you know how it feels for me. I know a Dodge Tech who told me about a little trick when the car feels sluggish and maybe you've tried it before but if not, here it is. In the fuse box under the hood, pull #31 Fuse (25 AMP White Fuse) and leave it out for 10 mins, re-install it and wait for 10 mins, then start the car and wait for a minute to where the idle comes back down a bit and GO!! I did try that one and I certainly did feel a change in how the car ran. It was much more responsive all around...off the line, in the mid-range and in the higher ranges of 75mph. Since you have an Automatic, you can also pull #29 Fuse (15 AMP Blue Fuse) as well. Pull the both fuses together and re-install the #29 Fuse after 5 mins FIRST, then 5 mins later re-install the #31 Fuse, wait for the 10 mins, start the car, let it idle for a minute and GO!! I didn't do the #29 Fuse since I have a 6 Speed, but like I said, I felt the car respond much better after I did the #31 Fuse pull. I assume your Fuses are the same in your Charger as they are in my 2016 Challenger. Good Luck!! Let me know how it works for you.
oh yes the fuse pull! A lot of people try that & say it does help. I think it just resets the adaptive driving... This I believe does the same. I should give the fuse pull a try, thanks man
Okay, what I found out by now, fuse pull works but car will go back very soon (people who tried it said some pulls and driving around and car feels like getting back to prior settings) but not with the method R/T Life showed us here. All people I asked/contacted said the same. Fuse pull is fun, throttle callibration does really works.
Ummm ok...wow...that really works...i just did it on my 2019 awd challenger...i felt like after a month it was beginning to lag in acceleration...i literally did the steps you said and i made sure i turned off my heat to see if i could hear my air intake and to see if the lag went away...it did everthing you said it would do...thanks
R/T Life Holy shit thank you so much for making this video. I kept wondering what was going on with my 2016 Dodge Charger R/T, after I installed my AFM intake system. It was driving very sluggish and so much lag. But after watching your video and replicating what you did. It fixed my issues it responds immediately like a beast it should thank you again brother
Awesome! so glad it worked for you as well. I appreciate you giving it a try and leaving feedback, it helps others that may not believe it does anything. Enjoy that Hemi!
Do you have to push down on the pedal slow? Or just push down wait 20 seconds then slowly lift up? Does this work on the 2011-2013?? Hopefully you can respond to this older video please sir. Thanks in advance
@@RTLife OK cool, I have a durango RT and I've tried this a few times.. one of the few times the check engine light started blinking during the process. Other times the check engine light stayed still. I was slowly pushing down and then waiting twenty seconds then slowly lifting back up. It's like I still have a little play in my pedal before she will jump or react to me pushing the pedal. I did this method on my V6 Dodge Magnum, and it worked I could feel that it made my pedal more reactive... I'm trying to find the right fuse to pull, cause fuse 31 on mine is for my rear Lights.. dont mean to hit you with a million questions but I don't have no one else to ask. Power train module is equivalent to the PCM? Cause nothing under my fuse box says pcm or ecm. Appreciate your patience and feedback!
So I actually tried this today on my 2018 rt Charger. I got it with 16k miles on it & it drove fine. I had it for about 3weeks & the throttle started to be a little off and it drove rough. I guess I tended to get a little excited at times and smash the gas but with this method it feels new again! Right after I did reset it I took it for a spin & it was like the power that seemed to have dumbed down a bit was back! Thanks man!
R/T life just tried it and i can feel better respones when i lightly tap gas cars ready to go and the car grows slightly more when cruising around 25mph 👌🏽thanks
Thanks buddy. I was skeptical but this actually works. I know because normally my 2014 dodge challenger will slip into ECO mode while cruising locally or the freeway after a certain Rpm. After doing this calibration thing it stopped. Launching from stoplight is a bit faster and no need to depress the accelerrator as much. Much appreciated
I just happened to stumble across this video. I have recently installed an S&B CAI on my ram 15 ram 1500 HEMI. is seemed like on occasions I could tell a difference and on others not so much. I watched your vid and gave it a shot. No joke there's definitely a difference in throttle response. Also a little more sensitive it seems like. And it's not just here and there it's anytime you need it it's there. Thank you for this video! You've earned a subscriber for sure. Again thank you.
Just did it on my '16. It absolutely made a difference. The throttle response off the line in normal mode now feels the same as it was when it was in sport mode before doing this. Thanks!!
Ok didn't really think this would work but I had nothing to lose well all I can say is the beast is felling and running a whole lot better and gas mileage is way better I had stop driving my charger because it was burning more gas then my corvette. Thanks for the info I was days from trading it in but its not going anywhere now.
done it on my 2015 RAM 1500 this morning and there is a difference... a bit crisper throttle response... need to drive it a bit more to gauge the real fuel economy change... thanks.
I am excited to give this a whirl. I installed a catback and intake tube a couple months ago. I disconnected the battery to reset the adaptives but I hope this does something as well. I will report back. Thanks for your videos. Just found you and they are awesome.
On my 06 RT I tried this out and it was ok. But what did the trick was when you let the pedal back up, grab the pedal with your hand and lightly pull up so that it CLICKS. Worked great for me
Man, I just tried this today. I already have a good tune and a Pedal Commander so wasn’t expecting much but HOLY CRAP! Feels like I instantly gained about 50 horsepower and that’s no exaggeration. Thanks for the tip! I wonder how long it will last before I have to do it again.
Thanks alot for the video !!! I went to the dealer for a ruff idle on a 2014 Dodge dart 2.4 gt and it cost me 537$ and my car was still ont fixed ! I look at your video then do it on my car and wow its running perfect now 😀😀😀😀
Update: Night and day runs way smoother and quieter! so glad i did this at home saved 300 dolars. My 2010 chevy express was acting sluggish at times or funky excelleration at times especially after iding a while. Got throttle body cleaner and sure enough when i took mas off and duct. The thing was filthy and jammed up... going to recalibrate soon i cant wait to have my power and mpg back🎉
Tried this on my 2017 Ram Rebel 1500 and it seems like it did something. I am going to try it again tomorrow morning to see if there is a bigger difference.
hey! it worked! my car was with the spark alarm light. i cleaned it and it worked well first day and the alarm returned. after this procedure, it is running like a new car! thanks
Worked on my 14 charger 5.7 blacktop edition. Also tried pushing slowly pushing the pedal to the floor and releasing it slowly 3 times. Seems to work as well. Thanks for the awesome tip man, it definitely made a big difference...
Did this on my 2015 Nissan murano this morning. My acceleration feels so much more spiffier. I didn't see any difference on my milage per gallon remaining indicator but seriously I see a performance improvement.
I was very skeptical about this but after trying it on my 17 Daytona 392 I believe I do feel and hear a slight difference in my throttle. I feel like lost a slight touch when I switched to after market mufflers. After trying this I'm getting better response again, maybe it's placebo effect but I feel like it works.
definitely works amazingly recommend everyone to try it if you can im going to get my car permanently recalibrated or something like that so i dont have to keep redoing it but it definitely works
Tested long time back on so many different car brands and this is working. Also if you want you can press it up to 3/4 and you will get faster respond on trottle, but do not recommend it.just for testing purpose
A fun thing i noticed about our 5.7 Hemis!!! If you drive it in the cold and cruise at about 55 and put it in sport and hammer the throttle the belts sound like a supercharger!!! I couldnt believe it, it literally makes a whining sound was pretty cool!
R/T Life does this work on 2015 sxt
TheJohnnyRay1 j*n
Thanks a lot it worked for me!!!
Woww it works
6 years later and this video is still helping folks out, thank you so much man! Car feels just like how it felt when I drove it off the lot!
Works 100 percent for the 2019 3.6 charger. The directions that came from BBK did not. This man is a genius. Two thumbs up!
Nice! glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
Start here!
Nice! Glad this worked for you. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving a comment, helps others.
Tried this on my 2017 charger R/T and I must say thanks for the info on how to do this. It really does work.. made a jump of about 10 miles on my range.. and car is lil bit more responsive.. thank you.. it needed it..
Nice! That is exactly what happened for me. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback for others
Drove about 100 yards before trying this just to get a fresh feel after sitting overnight. Have to say, after doing this the exhaust note was noticeably different upon startup. Definitely deeper and more intake noise. Thanks!
Nice! Thank you for giving this a try & leaving positive feedback. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for giving this a try & leaving feedback. I really appreciate the support!
Thanks this fixed the problem with my 2006 charger. It's the Hemi again. You just dont understand how happy I am. Thanks again!
Nice! Glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feeback
Did nothing on my 06 Charger R/T
Nice!!! Sorry I missed this, really glad this little trick helped you out. Thanks a ton for the channel support, I really appreciate it!
Hello I have dodge charger 2009 throttle body sign coming up and start and run but cut off I changed fuel pump and filter most of the sensors besides the up and down stream
I do what to do again could it be the computer the car keeps going of limp mode
~2016 Charger R/T
hahah thanks man for giving a try & leaving feedback for others to see. Glad it worked for you as well. Enjoy that Hemi
Got;
K&N CAI
Flow master cat back
Pedal commander
Fantastic! Thank you a ton for giving it a shot & coming back to give feedback. So glad it worked for you as well. These RT's are just a ton of fun!
I’m Gil btw.
hahaha that's awesome! Really glad this worked out for you as well.
R/T- I’m so glad I came across your video! I have a 2018 Durango R/T and the truck feels great!!! No more hesitation-Thank you.
Nice! Glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for leaving feedback
This my favor thing to do to my car every oil change, thanks R/T just did it on my 392!!!
Nice! Glad this worked out for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
The tips and tricks you put out are great thanks for doing the research from the daytime Running lights to the removal of traction control it’s all good stuff I’m a diehard Mopar man myself
Thanks man - I really appreciate the support. These Mopars are awesome
Man I cant thank you enough my 19 rt charger was lagging and I did this and my baby is back on beat thanks so much brodie you saved me a trip to the dealership 💪🏾💪🏾💨💨💨
Nice! Glad this worked out for you. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - keep on enjoying that beast.
Me too, I've had my 19RT for a little over 2 months, that lag is killing me
Dude this video is gold for Mopar people. I'm driving my 16 R/T thinking something wrong with it! I would literally floor it in sport mode and not get the response that I got when I drove off the lot, it felt weak. I'm glad you took the time to do research and share it with others...
Nice! Thank you for give this a try & leaving feedback - helps others looking into it. Glad this worked for you as well - keep on enjoying that Hemi!
I know your comment is old, but I agree with you 100%. That's how I feel about my 2020 challenger, can't wait to start it up tomorrow morning 🌅
I was so frustrated that my '17 Ram seemed like it had lost its ability to give me whiplash when I stomped on the gas. Then I tried your suggestion and now I'm fishtailing and skidding all over the place without even meaning to. Thanks very much!
NICE! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - helps the next person. Glad it worked for you as well.
I tried it on Peugeot 508 turbo model 2012 and it felt great I was suffering lag and bad gas milage now it has fast response more power and better gas milage. Thank you
Nice! Glad this helped you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feeback
Did this on a '14 avenger. It increased my throttle response, finally got rid of the dead pedal feeling. Ty.
Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - glad it worked for you as well.
Wife's Dodge 3.6L had a message come up "maintenance needed on throttle body". We did this trick. Fixed. Also notice more pep to her suv also. Thanks!
NICE! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving back. Glad this helped out for you.
This worked for me! 2011 Ram 1500 5.7L. When the engine hadn't fully warmed up yet, the truck would stall and shut off when slowly rolling up at lights and stop signs. Now the truck doesn't drop below the norm 500rpm. Thanks for sharing! *fist bump*
Nice! Glad this worked out for you. I appreciate you giving it a try & leaving feedback. helps others that may be looking into this
I was wondering if it would work on my 17 Ram. It does feel sluggish now and I chalked it up to winter gas. Will report back
It works.
This did work for my 2017 chevy malibu. The take-off is much better now. I'll see how long this holds up. I was gonna buy a new throttle body with the new sensor but now I might can save that money a little while longer. Thanks again. Glad you did a video for this issue.🇺🇸👍🏾
I followed your advice and tried it with my 2017 Ram ecodiesel and it worked! Thanks!
Nice! I'm glad this worked out for you as well. I appreciate you giving it a try & leaving feedback. Helps others looking into it
Have to say this does work and gives a noticeable difference. When and if it gets sluggish again, just do the relearn again and off you go. Also read about pulling fuse #2 for older vehicles or fuse #31 for new but this is easier with what seems the same results.
Yah def a noticeable difference. Glad I'm not the only one.
Thanks for showing us your foot when you had to press down on the gas pedal and let off slowly... for us overthinkers
I probably should have. Let me know if you give it a try though
How much do you press down on it? Alll the way? Partially?
Kuan Wei Choo partially. Cause that’s all you can do to your wife.
Ok do I press slowly or wot down, I know you release slowly...
I just did this to my 5.7 t/a awesome it’s like a new car I just recently bought the car used and I was told that the previous owner babied the car and this trick woke up that hemi thanks so much
Nice! Glad this worked for you. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback. Enjoy that Hemi!
That's great! Really happy this helped. I think each time you do a mod this will help. Thanks a ton for taking the time to come back & give feedback.
Thanks very much for this post. I was looking for a "How to" clean a throttle body, and found your post. So I tried it, and it worked great, no more lag or hesitation. I have a V6 SXT Challenger, and noticed over the past few months a clunking sound and almost like the car was being held back. Not any more (hehehe) tonight I squealed the tires just to help the re-learn process...Don, from Canada.
hahaa nice!!! I'm glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - helps others. Keep on enjoying that Mopar!!
Hi, I also posted your video in Dodge challenger Forums, hopefully it will help others as well, Cheers. Don.
I can't believe it. It has been totally different. It seems to be as your first drive after modifying. I tried two times with different ways. Second one works with me. its just pressing the pedal 3 times slowly. Then it worked. Now I dont have noise or rattling exhaust, The performance also returned back healthy.
Nice! I'm really glad this worked out for you - when I 1st did it man what a difference!
My hubby just did this to my Dart and it worked! I had power off the start like I've never had before. He's going to try this on his Grand Am next!
Nice! Thank you for giving this a try & leaving some feedback - def helps those skeptical about giving it a try. I really appreciate the support
Do you have any Videos on pulling the # 31 fuse?
no I haven't tried it yet
this works! before I was having to press harder on my pedal to get it to go, now I'm lightly tapping it and its going as if I'm pressing hard. i have a 2017 Dodge Charger R/T.
Awesome! So glad a ton of you guys are reporting back similar results. Very very cool thanks for confirming it works.
Tried this trick on 2013 ram hemi. It worked. I wouldn't say it feels the same as when I purchased it 4 years ago, but it is definitely noticeable and smoother on the pedal.
Thanks for the vid!
Nice - glad it worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
Thank you for giving this a try & leaving positive feedback I really appreciate it - helps others!
What exactly did he say to do could someone tell me please
@@truumixx3789 Put the car in run mode without actually starting the engine, hold the pedal down for 30 secs to a minute, turn the car off, then start the car normally.
@@matthewdiabo2879 so what would be running mode if the car not start
Thank you for giving this a try & leaving feedback. I'm really glad it helped you as well. Great stuff
Thank you so much! I did a throttle body cleaning yesterday on my 2007 Mazda 3 and I did exactly what you said in the video and it worked 100%
Nice! Really glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
No problem 💪
Thank you so much, after i did the service on my 2017 Charger R/T it felt sluggish and unresponsive and i tried this method and WOW !! My car is so fast now it feels like new again.
By the way I watch your channel from Tijuana Mexico.
Awesome, thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback. It helps others looking into this.
Changed my throttle body and it wouldn’t go over 20 mph did this and it’s all good. Thanks !!! Thanks
Nice! Glad this worked out for you. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
I just tried this with my 2013 Charger RT and it worked...like holy crap worked! I now have more power, my DTE (Drive till empty went up 25 miles) and the exhaust roars louder to. Oh and doing burn outs is a lot easier now.
Nice! Glad it worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving a comment. Helps others that may think it's nonsense
I had a hesitation every now and then once I reset in my 2006 Chrysler 300 5.7 I have a cold air intake exhaust stage two Diablo sport tune when I did the re-learn crazy amount of sound a lot faster better pick up thank you this works great
NICE! Glad this worked out for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
Nice it worked on my 2017 SXT Blacktop too 👍😀 the gas pedal is more agressive and my car isn't shy at all anymore thank you! And i hear the difference also ...more sound more growl!
Great! Really happy it has helped a handful of people. I was very surprised it actually did something.
Me too 🙄
And it's a Challenger
simply brilliant trick. It works very well, I can hear again the intake working.
actually, like you said I guess you are the first to make the throttle relearn on video online. i had this problem with my 16 rt and it kindda got into my head and i was saying wtf thats not a farely 300 something WHP car.
Holy crap! What a difference! Throttle response is instant!
Nice! Glad this was helpful & worked for you as well
So just a little note this also works for Ford's f150 5.0
I appreciate it man 💪 thanks a lot.
Nice! Glad this worked for you - thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback
Wow......This really does work. What a difference this trick made. Thank you for sharing R/T Life!
Nice!!! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving back your feedback. Really glad it worked for you as well. Great stuff
Nice! Glad this worked out for you. I noticed a difference when I did it as well. Thank you for leaving feedback
Thank you for posting.
any updates?
I just did this and OMG. I drove 89miles @ 73mpg and was getting 27mpg. I also noticed a difference in throttle response..preciate the update
nice! Glad you gave it a try & it worked for you as well. Thank you for leaving feedback for others to see
@@RTLife I saw your 392 intake manifold video did you ever buy the part if so how did it work out link me to the vid
Yah - the guy can tune for sure. Enjoy it man!
I'm really glad this worked for you! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving your feedback - it helps others that come across this video.
Really glad it worked for you as well! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving some feedback
R/T Life
Holy shit thank you so much for making this video.
I have 2016 challenger i had mopar air intake on it .. should i try this ?my car (transmission+throttle ) feel sulgish especially on low speed .. thx
2017 charger rallye, did this and it definitely works. I have almost no lag and even chirps the wheels with awd! Thanks for the video
Do you have to push down on the pedal slow? Or just push down wait 20 seconds then slowly lift up? Does this work on the 2011-2013?? Hopefully you can respond to this older video please sir. Thanks in advance
just push down wait 20 seconds then slowly lift up - yes it should work for a 2011-13. Let me know if you give it a try & if it worked.
What about a 2014?
So I actually tried this today on my 2018 rt Charger. I got it with 16k miles on it & it drove fine. I had it for about 3weeks & the throttle started to be a little off and it drove rough. I guess I tended to get a little excited at times and smash the gas but with this method it feels new again! Right after I did reset it I took it for a spin & it was like the power that seemed to have dumbed down a bit was back! Thanks man!
Nice! Really glad this worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback for others looking into it.
R/T life just tried it and i can feel better respones when i lightly tap gas cars ready to go and the car grows slightly more when cruising around 25mph 👌🏽thanks
Nice! Glad this has worked for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback. Helps others looking into this.
@@RTLife also notice today my average mile per gallon is up 3 more miles per gallon you saved me some gas money 💵 🤑✌️thanks

Awesome - thank you for giving it a try. Glad it worked for you as well. I appreciate you leaving feedback - helps others looking into this
Thanks buddy.
Again thank you.
it really works man.. my v6 2014 feels like my first time to drive when i bought it.. thanks man..
glad this worked for you as well!
Just did it on my '16. It absolutely made a difference. The throttle response off the line in normal mode now feels the same as it was when it was in sport mode before doing this. Thanks!!
Alright! Glad it worked out for you. Try that after each upgrade you do to the car.
Ok didn't really think this would work but I had nothing to lose well all I can say is the beast is felling and running a whole lot better and gas mileage is way better I had stop driving my charger because it was burning more gas then my corvette. Thanks for the info I was days from trading it in but its not going anywhere now.
hahaha that's awesome! Glad it worked out for you & thanks for sharing your experience.
Did this on my 392 and it definitely helped throttle response. Would love to hear simple tricks like this from you
Nice! Glad it worked out for you as well. Thank you for giving it a try & leaving some feedback
Please tell me exactly what to do to recalaleberate my trottle body you said put your car in run what exactly do you men by that
This absolutely worked on my 2016 Sonata. Thanks for sharing this info guy 👍🏽
done it on my 2015 RAM 1500 this morning and there is a difference... a bit crisper throttle response... need to drive it a bit more to gauge the real fuel economy change... thanks.
Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback - it will help others that come a long. Glad it worked for you
I am excited to give this a whirl. I installed a catback and intake tube a couple months ago. I disconnected the battery to reset the adaptives but I hope this does something as well. I will report back. Thanks for your videos. Just found you and they are awesome.
Thanks I really appreciate it a ton! Def. let me know if it helps - I noticed it on the highway, the intake sounded louder when I floored it.
On my 06 RT I tried this out and it was ok. But what did the trick was when you let the pedal back up, grab the pedal with your hand and lightly pull up so that it CLICKS. Worked great for me
Nice - glad it semi worked out for you. Good stuff
How was ur car acting before?
Thanks alot for the video !!! I went to the dealer for a ruff idle on a 2014 Dodge dart 2.4 gt and it cost me 537$ and my car was still ont fixed ! I look at your video then do it on my car and wow its running perfect now 😀😀😀😀
Awesome! Glad this helped out. I appreciate you giving this a try & leaving positive feedback
Update: Night and day runs way smoother and quieter! so glad i did this at home saved 300 dolars.
My 2010 chevy express was acting sluggish at times or funky excelleration at times especially after iding a while. Got throttle body cleaner and sure enough when i took mas off and duct. The thing was filthy and jammed up... going to recalibrate soon i cant wait to have my power and mpg back🎉
Only relearn that worked for my 03 envoy xl!
Thank you!!
Nice! Glad this helped for you as well
Tried this on my 2017 Ram Rebel 1500 and it seems like it did something. I am going to try it again tomorrow morning to see if there is a bigger difference.
i noticed it didn't work the next day. I tried back to back days
hey! it worked! my car was with the spark alarm light. i cleaned it and it worked well first day and the alarm returned. after this procedure, it is running like a new car! thanks
Nice! Glad it worked for you - thank you for giving it a try
R/T Life actually the spark alarm is back. I believe it is elsewhere. Perhaps the computer.
I’ll keep trying.
Worked on my 14 charger 5.7 blacktop edition. Also tried pushing slowly pushing the pedal to the floor and releasing it slowly 3 times. Seems to work as well. Thanks for the awesome tip man, it definitely made a big difference...
Nice! Thank you for giving it a try & leaving feedback. I'm glad it worked for you as well. Awesome!
Did this on my 2015 Nissan murano this morning. My acceleration feels so much more spiffier. I didn't see any difference on my milage per gallon remaining indicator but seriously I see a performance improvement.
👀
I was very skeptical about this but after trying it on my 17 Daytona 392 I believe I do feel and hear a slight difference in my throttle. I feel like lost a slight touch when I switched to after market mufflers. After trying this I'm getting better response again, maybe it's placebo effect but I feel like it works.
I did it not thinking anything would come of it. Once I saw my MPG get adjusted & the intake noise being loud as hell... I knew something happened.
Brian Johnson is it a 1917 Daytona? If not there's no need to f*ck with it.
definitely works amazingly recommend everyone to try it if you can im going to get my car permanently recalibrated or something like that so i dont have to keep redoing it but it definitely works
That's great, I will give it a shot & see how it sounds.
I do that. And swear sounds like SRT
Yes, Hemis LOVE cold weather!!
Jordan Salazar pretty sure all engines run better in cold air. It’s more noticeable however with a more powerful engine
I thought I was crazy
I did this yesterday on my 2004 a4 2.5 v6 and it works my car drives so much better better throttle response
