What is the chemical used other than acetone while sample preparing

@@evamoses9720 Leaves contain many different pigments for photosynthesis. Some of these are more soluble in hexane and others are more soluble in acetone. By using a mix of both you are more likely to extract all the different pigments

when i did it in school used the grass with sand i dont know what will the sand do tho

The sand will help to grind down the leaf structure and break open the cells so it is easier to extract the photosynthetic pigments
