@@AFuller2020 You don't give up, you keep on going until you achieve it. That's what faith is, that is what truly believing is, that is what having a passion and love is. There are a lot of non rich people who are doing what they love and who have changed the world in history. This does not mean just creating a product for the world. It's about finding what you love and staying true to yourself. That is the message. In my opinion of course.
You can only connect the dots looking backwards not forward (future) , it was the best advice I have ever heard. Steve Jobs was really a great man ! R.I.P.
Steve Job's Top 10 Rules for success is definitely my favorite. Evan thanks for providing quality inspiring content. Number 1 "Don't live a a limited life" is a rule I follow.
#10 "Stay hungry. Stay foolish." Every time I hear that commencement address and his three stories it reaffirms what I have learned by being "of age". Only connecting the dots by looking back = TRUE! A major disappointment can be the best thing that every happened to you = TRUE! And now being older, the fact you could die soon so look at what you want and need to do as if you days are numbered = TRUE TRUE TRUE. Thanks, Evan.
He was also a marketing genius which is why Apple made it so big. He knew how to market his brand by using emotion. Sure he came up with gizmos we use today, but that would have been nothing if it wasn't for his way of marketing his brand. The guy knew how to sell ice cubes to an eskimo.
+Void Lotfi I can recommend a few: Lovemarks by Kevin Roberts, former CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi; Marketing Without Money by Tom Patty, former Pres of Chiat Day, which did the marketing for Apple and Nike; and Seth Godin's Purple Cow.
+Klemens Muronga Same here brother, same here. That last one is so true. Often we take things for granted and not take the time we have to follow our passions in life, but instead focus on the almighty dollar. There are more fulfilling things in life we can spend our time on to make change and making money could be a consequence of our hard work and dedication to the thing we love most in life.
As one of the 'Crazy ones" who believes that we all have the ability to create change, watching this video again and soaking in Steve's words and his authentic emotions gives me, even more fuel to drive my vision, product, and company across the first finish line. Thank you, Evan, for creating and sharing your work.
#6 "DON'T. DO. IT. FOR. THE MONEY!!!" is my top one. Period. I tell so many people that. Money is the bonus of what you love to do....but DON'T DO IT FOR THE MONEY!
Every individual has their own thinking of thoughts which can be change easily, but the spirit and the soul cannot be changed. So when you make your thoughts from the thinking process, come from your soul so the spirit will carry your hearts message.
What a remarkable man. I caught his commencement speech in 2009 as I was wrapping up my tenure at a tech incubator in Silicon Beach, just when the company was about to go belly up. That same year I chose to move from Windows to Mac & haven't looked back since. Steve truly had creative vision which is something that's missing from the current chiefs at Apple. It's going to be interesting to watch the company change as new leadership steps up. Seeing the speech for the 1st time to my surprise, helped to draw some distinct parallels between mine & Steve's life I wasn't expecting...the love for beautiful typography in design being one. That and crafting stories to create an engaging experience being another. It's funny how even the tiniest seeds when planted in the right place at the right time can grow to such amazing proportions. Thanks for putting this together Evan.
Thanks for posting this. !!! I turned down a job as a prototype technician with the Macintosh group in Cupertino in January of 1983. Jobs was a total clownass when he interviewed me. I built the first color pc at Polo Microsystems that ran Windows in 1983 and showed my 4 prototypes at Comdex in December. Both Steves were blown away. The next company I worked at was Identix in Palo Alto. I built the first electronic fingerprint reader that was certified by the Feds and FBI. Silicon Valley was a BLAST in the 1980s and now it is Flying high again..
Wonderful and one of the most precious speeches I have ever watched. Thought provoking, motivating and a remarkable path-finder of a meaning and purpose life.
One of the greatest speeches by a leading innovator-CEO, filled with personal lessons and insights! So powerful, so inspirinmg for young folks, and anybody, who still is striving and struggling to find the things one loves and create personal fulfillment! You got to find what YOU LOVE! Only this way You create great work. Don´t settle for anything less...! Don´t settle! And understand the meaning and importance of death, it´s kind of a tool for us humans to utilise. That was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Bill Gates may have more views, but it doesn't even come close to this. Thank you for putting that together. I have to send that to my kids and friends.
+Love Story The only reason Bill Gates has more views is because most people watching these documentaries want to know how to make the most money and Bill Gates is the richest one... Don't read any moral value to it. Jobs was a visionary fool, Bill is a lucky fool (if you know the IBM/MSDOS story you know what I mean).

These comments are hilarious in regards to Steve Jobs haters. Here's a list for you. HOW TO BE AN ANGRY LOSER IN LIFE: 1.) Sit on the sidelines and judge people that are actually in the game 2.) Think you are better than them because you are judging from the sidelines 3.) Tell everyone how bad the players are and how easy the game is that you are judging 4.) Complain about how "rich people" copied, steal, and killed to get their millions 5.) Finally get in the game, and get spanked because you don't have the backbone 6.) Reaffirm the fact you don't have what it takes and continue to spew garbage to the world 7.) See successful people keep pressing on developing great things while you haven't done jack 8.) Sit on the sidelines still and judge 9.) Sit on the sidelines still and judge 10.) As your life comes to an end, spew your garbage to you children and grand kids about how rich people are wrong, and your pathetic life is right, implementing the same pathetic cycle you were in. Popped over here from Amy's video about stepping outside of comfort zone and subscribed! Great vids in helping me step out of my comfort zone and become an entrepreneur!
Because once people die, the bad gets filtered out and forgotten and the good remains. He was brilliant at some things, but definitely not a pleasant human being...
Disruptive personalities can change the world and usually piss a lot of people off in the process. He clearly changed the world, was very difficult to work for, never accepted that things weren’t possible. The iPod to the iPhone and iPad transformed everyone’s life. Good and bad. This man wasn’t a saint or a holy man, he was an energy that was here to transform, to leave a mark. Any of you android customers would t be operating on a device as simple yet complex as you have unless someone did the impossible first. He did that. If you can’t love him for Apple, love him for Pixar. Every kid can learn something from him, kids who haven’t given up on their dreams.
I love this qoute by Steve Jobs "If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you'll be right. Every morning I looked in the mirror and asked myself: If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I do today?"
"From gods spirit of the place most high, a gift that's earned that no one can buy, for those who are looking, but do not find are using their eyes and not their mind. So on your journey through life, on the wheels of time, take all your friends to find this wonderful mind, it may be lost in the deepest, darkest, dungeon with no key, but it can be found, through gods love, and from that beautiful person who is called ME"
very touching, inspiring, motivating and brave..... I like it.... I always watched and heard 100 times.... to drive on and have the fighting spirit to move always....

“Make your mark upon it,” you sure did Steve, you sure did! I’m starting a business and Steve is my mentor 👍. He is the inspiration of every businessman. No doubt in my mind!
"Focus is about saying No" Creating something thats holistic and commands 8 billion plus in sales! I think this is true for corporations and People Personally too!
He says dont do it for the money but first computers he sold he said ..."all he could see were dollar signs". Its easier to not do things for the money after you earn your first million and dont have to worry about survival.
Well said. I listened to the first few sentences at the beginning and I thought to myself, "what a total croc". The iPod was simply a hard drive with designed plastic over it. The hard drive couldn't have cost more than $100 but Apple sold them for $400-$500. I can't believe people eat this shit up and act like Jobs is bigger than God.
After seeing this i appreciate Steve Jobs more. He actually loved what he did and that inspires me to think that i could find something i love too. Thank you.

Once again, this video is priceless! Great value, so inspiring! Much love and respect for your amazing work Evan. You are my star, with this amazing information I definitely believe more in me as an entrepreneur thanks. 💗👍😊
I've got PC and Apple and in a lot of cases, just like he said in the video that you two were watching, to bring a PC up the specs, security, smoothness and enjoyability as a Mac, you can often spend as much if not more. That's a fact. So yes they cost more than most PCs, but not the PCs that are real performers. I love things about both.
+jdssurf Enjoyability is an objective factor. Spending more doesn't necessarily increase that. Smoothness and security? Yes, Apple products definitely have that. But specs? You can't be serious. I built my desktop tower for £900. An Apple equivalent would be close to £2000. £1100 does not account for the premium feel/security for me :s
+Asfandyar Khan specs in certain catagories. and smoothness, for lack of better term, is pretty damn enjoyable, and theirs a reason more musicians and the movie industry uses mac over pc on and off stage, and its not just to be cool. the shit comes stock with what you need. anyways like i said i like both. i just get tired of seeing the douch bags that are so one sided. especialy if they are not involved deeply with both snd never have been. shit i just woke up, tired, too many typos to go back and correct. now what i truly hate, this droid phone lol.

Why is this man beloved by many AFTER his death, YET HATED so much while he was alive????
I guess it usually happens that way, but for sure he left a legacy. Thanks for watching! :) #BelieveNation #BTA374 Shine
Every kid can learn something from him, kids who haven’t given up on their dreams.
because most people are weak fanboys who dont have a bloody clue.
Humans!!They always appreciate you more at your absence
I love this qoute by Steve Jobs "If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you'll be right. Every morning I looked in the mirror and asked myself: If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I do today?"
I love that one too. #Believe 💪💪😊 - Dondon
"From gods spirit of the place most high, a gift that's earned that no one can buy, for those who are looking, but do not find are using their eyes and not their mind. So on your journey through life, on the wheels of time, take all your friends to find this wonderful mind, it may be lost in the deepest, darkest, dungeon with no key, but it can be found, through gods love, and from that beautiful person who is called ME"
Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom Malcolm. Awesome words. #Believe :) #BTA173 Shine

"Focus is about saying No"
Creating something thats holistic and commands 8 billion plus in sales! I think this is true for corporations and People Personally too!
"Don't do it for the money"
Yes! :) Thanks for the comment and for watching Usha Ma. #BelieveNation #BTA262 Shine
He meant the initial idea wasn't thriven by money. Once there was an opportunity he went for it, which is fair.
do it for the love that ray jay
He is a genius! He always envision a beautiful product - good quality and very useful! He is an inspiration to all!🌹👍🏼

Iworked at "Apple Computer" in 82-83 as an engineer. It was a great life lesson. Steve was fired that year, and it wascrushing when they closed the Dallas plant. I carried forward great life lessons, and still have the friends I met backthen.

Thanks for the comment and for watching. #BTA346 Shine
+legoluigi00 if you're looking at Tim Cook, use rule #6. Because they definitely don't sell crap (despite what some tech "geniuses" say), but be sure as hell they push sales as much as possible.

i nearly choked when he said Apple products were not priced high..
lol
+pd You didn't choke on that you almost choked on....DEEZ NUTS!
+Omar Abuaita well that was dumb.
he didn't care about the money but company like at&t yes :)
Thanks for watching. #BTA271 Shine
