Excellent. Going to try poking holes in the ceiling crack myself. I’d avoided fixing it as I didn’t want to screw into joists. Thank you again for these!!
I fixed a nice crack in my hallway with your technique, it felt horrible digging it back to brick but it was worth it as it's not come back since I used soudal faom with a little polyfil ontop. Thanks for the videos definitely helping me get my home back together.
Question: My house has seasonal movement. Has been ruled out as subsidence by insurance but likely thermal expansion. In the summer have some cracks about 1-2mm and then in winter they close. Would this technique work on my cracks or would it likely be a waste of time/money?
Love your vids as always. One question, i get it that this technique is great for cracks in plaster etc but some of the cracks you poked the driver into were REALLY big, deep into the brickwork and it literally goes up the wall over the ceiling and back down again...Doesnt that need further investigation? Not a criticism, love the vids
@@ricky-shay thanks and no lots of houses have strange anomalies without them being structurally unsound. Every house settles after being built and they breathe with the seasons. Cracks are inevitable.
@@michaelmckenna6880 will definitely try it. The volden is only good for under wall paper. I use undercoat plaster because it's a cheap filler to bring the depth up for a final fill.
While both words relate to the movement of air, "draft" primarily concerns written content and planning, whereas "draught" relates to the flow of air in physical spaces.
Got to love the properties of Soudal gap filling expanding foam.Thank you.

Can you tell me what you think is the best paint for radiators please.

Could you do thiis on external smooth rendered wall?
Yes using the correct exterior fillers. Foam is okay.

How do you keep your French knives free from rust?
@@geoffsmith673 try and make sure they are dry. But if they get a little rust just sand it off.
@@PaintingandDecorating OK good, that's my tactic.
Love a crack filling video 😂😂
Shouldn't the building be braced if the cracks are that bad?
Draughts

Put some scrim over mate better results or fibre fuse tape
@@TheMaintenenceGroup no it eventually fails that's why I do it this way.
😂🤠
Prefer it without music. Better when you talk over it.
@@plummetplum sometimes it's difficult with background sound.
Music was a great choice. You generally pick good tunes.
A foam special methinks 😂😂
Is that house suffering from subsidence?
No
In old houses with solid brick walls and lime moartar, these sort of cracks are quite common. Usually following joint lines.
it is now 😂
