30 yr pro here from the USA 🇺🇸, GREAT attention to the prep work i know a lot of guys would just do a quick sand down and throw a paint and primer on, especially on the high stuff where they think the customer won't see it Very nice job guys. Ken
Sconny Botland! My second home. This is what Professional Decorating is all about… in particular, painting. Well done lads. It’s not all about house bashing… that has killed a lot of skill in the trades. What you see here is traditional skills being kept alive. Not just by the skilled tradesman but also the property owners. I’m sorry you’ve not done a series of videos on this property showcasing your work. Missed a trick there imo.
Excellent work. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. When foaming and filling - would love to see a full video of the process involved. Essentially, are you cleaning out rotting wood and foaming? Then a filler on top? Does foaming need to be done in good weather or will rainfall make a difference? Thank you!
Ye tip top prep , but no customer rarely would pay for that standard , ye they want it but won’t pay the dollars, ye you had a lot of sweat on that lad, looks lovely, fair play, 👍
Hi guys did you prime the windows where there was bare timber or straight on with the superdec as its supposed to be self priming? Superb work and thanks for making such interesting videos
Brilliant work you 2. CSM I ask why oh why Scotland! I’m assuming you both live North, Manchester way or….Do you have friends or family in Scotland? Unless you charge tens of thousands to do the job. Is it really worth it? Work is extremely good.👍
Nice work, but surprised you chose 2 part wood filler for those window repairs? I’ve found it cracks after a while, I use Repair Care or Timbabuild now, never let me down.
@@grahamstacey3149 two pack fillers will crack on joints with no flexibility behind. Foam helps with this also not cutting enough rot out can result in cracking. And not fixing the main issue of water getting in will also cause it to crack again. Will definitely try these other fillers you mentioned. Thanks 👍
Looks great. Everyone loves to see that prep work, unfortunately very few want to pay for it. You earned every penny on this one.
Fantastic job❤

Must have earned a few quid to travel so far ;-)
To travel so far?? It's only 3 and bit hours up the road. They weren't travelling to the moon!!

What sort of lifespan does that finish have?
Edit: you answered this question near the end.
Zinsser is the product to use for exteriors
@@Chalkster1 I find it leaves too many brush marks not a great Finnish.

I'll bet it'll be difficult to get your money from the sweaty sock! He'll complain that you've charged him too much!
I bet you’re a prick
What the methylated spirit for on the wood
It was to clean off some residue from the old lead primer. Thanks
YOU to all the BIG EFFORTS TO PREPARE WOOD. THEN FILL IT WITH INSECT FOOD. 😂
Should of use dry flex for the wood repairs. Other than that it looks decent.

What’s the advantage of dry flex
A lot.
@@trevorebanks2993 Top 2?
@TheOlzee because it's the correct way to repair wood. You don't foam wood then throw 2 part over it.
A+ lads. 💯🫡
