I gotta be frank, the biggest disappointment for me in terms of this game's story wasn't the ending, but rather how little they touched on certain aspects of the Champions that give them more depth. Revali is the biggest offender. In The Champion's Ballad we learn that Revali is actually really insecure about himself, pushing himself to the limit to prove that he's the best to create a sense of security for himself. Being the best is the only way he sees himself as being worth anything. That's why he hates Link so much, because his position naturally places him above Revali in terms of power, skill, and importance, which devalues Revali's worth in his own eyes. This is also seen in some of his additional Champion's Ballad dialogue where he says, " There's no one alive who would even know me." While this could be interpreted as "no one alive would have known me from before," I choose to interpret it as, "no one alive would even recognize me or know who I was." This is of course, far from the case. Everyone in Rito Village adores Revali and idolize him as a hero. Revali sees his own self-worth as so low in the face of his ultimate defeat that he thinks he simply faded into obscurity to be forgotten by history, and that's incredibly sad to me.

Why the REDACTED does everyone hate my homie! He has every right to be cocky, he has the skills to back it up. and people with good eyes can see a change in Revali's character, for instance, in The Champion's Ballad DLC Memory with the photo, when Mipha is calming herself down, if you look closely, you can see Revali give off a warm smile. this small change shows that Revali truly cares about his fellow Champions, and maybe even Link. Maybe the way he acts to Link is just friendly rivalry, and while this may be a small change, it is still a change. I cant stress this enough, Revali deserves to be the main character of a future game. #TeamRevali
I did revali's fight yesterday, that was a though fight even though I overleveled Link and Impa, level 11 and 9 if I remember well... (First champion I did). Spoiler below of how the fight went for me I was litterally running everywhere and throwing bombs with Link in a NOTGONNADIEDONTTOUCHME mode. That was fun! (And I may have scared my mom with small frighten sounds when he shot me a bit too hard x'DDD) I have to add, I love apples, best apples.
You consider 11 and 9 over leveled? I was level 20 with Link, Impa, and Zelda after about 3 days of playing the demo. I was about 27 when I went to the Rito area. I decided to visit the kingdoms in the same order I did in BOTW
@@Gamelover882 I didn't play the demo (even though I was REALLY tempted), I wanted to go in blind ^^ So yeah, I did every proposed fight before having to choose a champion and I choosed dat salty birb, and when I saw the recommended level, I was feeling overleveled x'33 But yeah, now than I did Mipha and Urbosa with Link finishing level 17-19(?) I can't wait to see if the mission for Daruk is as good as the others ! It was really fun :DD
I took Link and Mipha to this level and that battle was epic! I played it much more aggressively and tried get him in close range. Still was a close one.
This is so cool, I have a habit of creating scenarios but this man is so badass I cant put it into words. But lets all remember he had to WORK for Revali's Gale whereas the others just had it. Daryl had protection, Mipha had healing, Urbosa had her fury, but what did Revali have? His work. He had all this that he worked his whole life for, and yet people call him arrogant. Egotistic, almost, but he doesnt care. He knows he is, and he has every right to be.
easily, honestly the theme seems to get the most love from devs as well (it got this amazing remix, it was heavily mixed into the air and lightning theme, and it got an INSANE remix for the champions ballad cutscene in botw)

We know
Yes he is ¯\〳 •̀ o •́ 〵/¯
I only see facts
Yes
The swell of music at 0:35 can only be described as the feeling of taking flight. Listening to that one part, I feel I've taken off and am soaring into the wind. It makes my chest feel light and full all at once. Revali wasn't always my favorite, but his theme alone definitely helped in turning that around.
Revali is my favorite champion, period.
- Powers
- Attitude
- Backstory (worked hard as a warrior to become a Mastery of the Sky)
- Not to mention, HIS FLYING POWER IS BETTER THAN THE PARAGLIDING
Bow Skill and Accuracy as well
And His flights are literally broken and make The paraglider and Loftwing into shame
i love revali so much and i love that he has the best theme in the game....he's such a underrated character and now in age of calamity hes like the most op character
God I love this prideful bird. The songs of him & his village are sooo amazing.
1:30 has a beautifully weird quality to it, the kind of sound I associate with Alice in Wonderland.
Man, I knew Revali was good, but this game solidified how powerful Revali actually is.
Can we agree on the fact that age of calamity is surprisingly good under EVERY aspect? Soundtrack, plot, storytelling...
This is the kind of music that would make me feel I'm flying. Wonderful theme for an lovable and arrogant bastard
Spoiler below of how the fight went for me
I was litterally running everywhere and throwing bombs with Link in a NOTGONNADIEDONTTOUCHME mode. That was fun! (And I may have scared my mom with small frighten sounds when he shot me a bit too hard x'DDD)
I have to add, I love apples, best apples.
You consider 11 and 9 over leveled? I was level 20 with Link, Impa, and Zelda after about 3 days of playing the demo. I was about 27 when I went to the Rito area. I decided to visit the kingdoms in the same order I did in BOTW
@@Gamelover882 Me too!
@@Gamelover882 I didn't play the demo (even though I was REALLY tempted), I wanted to go in blind ^^ So yeah, I did every proposed fight before having to choose a champion and I choosed dat salty birb, and when I saw the recommended level, I was feeling overleveled x'33
But yeah, now than I did Mipha and Urbosa with Link finishing level 17-19(?) I don't remember (Revali is already level 20, I love flying around and shooting from the sky x'DD), I see than it wasn't to overleveled, I'm no longer playing link in the small battles to train the others (and Revali will stay in a corner for a while too). I can't wait to see if the mission for Daruk is as good as the others ! It was really fun :DD
I took Link and Mipha to this level and that battle was epic!
I played it much more aggressively and tried get him in close range. Still was a close one.
He is my first champion to recruit. Damn he was totally hard for noob like me haha. Those flying and bomb arrows 🤣
I love this so much because it builds tension then releases it.
I always LOVED Revali's theme, but this, this is another level of epicness
Now I wanna give him a looong hug...
Why do I have tears.
me too, my friend :')
Literally obsessed with his theme in this game with Mipha's a very close second. They gave me one more reason to love this jerk bird
He's so OP, now I get his attitude
He might be cocky but I say damn right if you have a theme like this. Without a doubt the best of all four champions
easily, honestly the theme seems to get the most love from devs as well (it got this amazing remix, it was heavily mixed into the air and lightning theme, and it got an INSANE remix for the champions ballad cutscene in botw)
This is amazing
Almost forget to listen to this masterpiece today.
Revali deserves more credit as a charecter
There's something about light and cheery music being turned into battle music i love so much.
This is legendary,
Revali: ASININE
The way this song makes me wish I was a ballerina again; I have a sudden urge to get up and dance.
Walking home to this while it’s snowing has made my day.
I can’t get enough of this melody
felt
this soundtrack is just so damn good. and revali is just the ducking best
even though revali is a jerk, I actually think his personality makes him a well-developed character, by far my favorite champion.
:his theme can't get better...
AOC Revali:Hold my Great Eagle Bow.
All the champion themes are such bangers!
its amazing how they took all the champions themes which were very sad and depressing and turned them into these epic masterpieces
I love how much more epic and fast it is, emphasising even more the feeling his BoTW theme gives off: starved of the opportunity to redeem his personality and prove himself even beyond his achievements.
The music in this game is insanely good. I love every single track. Haven't loved a soundtrack this much since Nier:Automata
I did his boss fight this morning and it was a m a z I n g. Thx for making the song into this video!!!!!
It is official revali wins the best themes award I like how everyone claims to hate him and everyone just saying how op he is
Why does everyone's theme fit them so well
you may think you're good.
....but REVALI'S GALE IS NOW READY!
Fighting him with this music gave me chills during all the battle
"Rito Village is my Home, and As long as I'm here, you won't get any closer..."
I need a 10h version of this
0:34
1:36 thank me later
bUt the difference between BotW Revali theme and AoC theme
BotW Revali's theme: calm, beautiful, makes you feel happy and nostalgic
AoC Revali's theme: EPICEPICFIGHTFIGHTEXITINGBEAUTIFULITSEPICFIGHTEPICEPICEXITINGEXITINGBEAUTIFULAMAZINGBEAUTIFULAMAZINGEPIC
Make way for the greatest Champion of all time, REVALI!!!!!
0:35 This is perfect.
Ok, I started playing this game recently and I had completely forgotten about the botw theme of Revali and that is my favourite botw soundtrack. When I heard it when versing Revali, I got goosebumps and was like "NO WAY!! THIS SONG??? YES!!!"
Me screeching my head off while making Revali fight Revali-
You can say anything about Revali but his themes are amazing
It’s song is unexpectedly amazing, and I’m not complaining
Oh my god I love this
1:19 Bear a striking resemblance to the beginning of Skyward Sword's staff roll
Damn, I already enjoy Revali's original theme in BotW, but this revamped version is just epic, and he actually gets to show where he got his arrogance from this time.
I actually had such a good time fighting off Revali as a boss, it was a perfect balance of challenging, but also easy enough to get past on the first try. Overall that makes it such an epic battle tbh
Fr tho they did Revali justice with this song
Sounds like something I would hear in Octopath Traveler, it's so clean
He might be a little ****, but gods above, his music is good!
Hands down best theme out of all the champions
“Very few can achieve mastery of the sky…”
Fighting wind blight Gannon in botw with this theme would have been magical, it feels like avenging him in a way
Ah yes, my favorite Champion is represented well
I 💘 his theme and his character
Legitimately a banger
Me: *grinning while eating*
Family: Are you alright???
Me: “You may think you’re good... BuT iM bEtTeR!!!”
This is basically like an upgraded version of his theme from Breath Of The Wild, and I adore it.
