i hate how a lot of people shit on this game just because trains were involved. this was a good game, with a great story and great boss battles and puzzles. and the part that people were dismissing this game for, the train, was one of the most fun parts of the game. riding around, blowing the whistle at everything, blasting enemies with the cannon, going through portals, tunnels, and forests, it was all ridiculously fun. hell, even the escort missions, where you brought people to different places throughout the kingdom on your train, were fun. i'm not going to say that it beats out MM or Ocarina, cause i've never played those, but it still feels like a Zelda game ought to.

Burt Macklin well, they had steam powered boats in Phantom Hourglass, so trains aren't really that far fetched. especially since the story of Spirit Tracks takes place after Link and Tetra from PH settle on a newly discovered continent. trains would have been the next logical step from steam powered boats.

The first few are super easy and forgiving, but the last few.... well, to put it this way... the sand temple one kept me from completing the game for 10 YEARS. In the end I found a way to cheese it and that was the only way I managed to get past it.
I love how the overworld songs for Spirit Tracks and Wind Waker go along with your vehicle. A nice, upbeat tune to go along with the chugging engine of your train, and a calm, floaty song to go with your boat bouncing along the waves.

I have almost no memories of playing this game, but as soon as I heard this music an immense nostalgia feeling hit me right in the feelings. That's how you know a game is great, you don't have to remember it, but deep inside you still know it and cherish it
Hearing it again literally made me cry, it makes me feel like it's saying it wants to be free, break all the barriers and explore the world, I just wasn't able to hold my tears, that's how much I love it
Yesss! At last someone agrees with me! When I finished the game, I was just so... Sad! It was a beautiful game, yet I found lots of haters on the Internet...
this song is so uplifting! like you want to venture into new lands, like you want to blow the whistle with the song and you want to ride the tracks! it's so great!!!
I can never get over how the bassline at 2:47 matches the ocean theme from Wind Waker it's such a perfect allusion to the boat riding from that game and how this all takes place in the same world and adventure just took new forms
I actually liked Spirit Tracks. It was kind of special, with the locomotive and all, but I appreciated the game. Couldn't describe the awesomeness to make a hike through the realm with this song, using all along the locomotive's whistle
I love this game ans this track! This game accompanied me when I lost my job and had to stay home for a long time. Still listen to Spirit Tracks music till now and my 5-year old loves the game and music too
Started playing it yesterday, I got so much nostalgia from it even though I never played it or Phantom Hourgalss, or even Wind Waker ( ;-; ), It's so damn good, and I already love Zelda.
I always appreciated how you never had to follow the path you laid out and that you could diverge from it on the fly, unlike Phantom Hourglass. Also this song is incomplete without the sounds of the train.
I've never played any Zelda games so far... But I just listened to this song again and it almost made me cry (but in a beautiful way). My younger brother has played this game and he once showed me this soundtrack. I really loved it! It feels so nostalgic and adventurous to me. I liked it so much that I started to learn it on the piano (which I can play decently), but I wanted to play it... properly! Since there are too many notes to play at once for one person (I took in almost all the instruments in my piano arrangement) I thought to myself: "well, you could play this with your brother!" He loves the song too, but he can't really play the piano. So I gave him the easier part. We started to learn it but we stopped after a while... Maybe not enough motivation, I don't remember exactly. Anyway, all of this happened maybe two years ago. Now I moved to Germany (my family lives in Italy) for university, and today... I was playing the guitar and randomly remembered this song! I tried it out and I still remembered some of the chords by heart! It wasn't difficult to find the missing ones. And now I came back to listen to this song on TH-cam and it really reminds me of my brother! It's a beautiful and sad memory at the same time somehow. (He's still alive just to be clear) :))
This was a beautiful song, and an even better game. A very underrated game, and a real gem for the DS Lite. The best part of this song was to carefully match up the train's sounds with it to serve as a sort of background instrument.
Still here in 2019 to listen to this song, it brings me so much memories, this game was truly good. If one day by a miracle there is a HD version, well like i would sell my soul if i have to to play it.
Played it a loooooong time ago with my best bud at that time. We played this and Phantom Hourglass for hours straight, over and over again. He even had a GameCube and we played Majoras Mask on it. But he only had the demo version and we tried to beat the game in only 30 minutes.... every single day... Damn nostalgia hits. Unfortunately we arent friends anymore even tho I can see his house from mine...
this was the first game i had ever played in my childhood and recently i heard this piece in the background of a youtube video i was watching and the memories all came rushing back, here i am now just soaking uo the nostalgia of this fantastic piece. i cant wait to buy this game again at some point
I haven't played this game in over... what, 8 years? I'm man enough to admit, that this made me cry. It made me remember those good times... god, I miss them. It's shown me how much I've grown... live on forever in my heart, Spirit Tracks!
I grew up with oot and fell in love with the soundtrack for that game. But holy shit, this song is SO INSANELY GOOD. I heard it as background music in a youtube video and spent the last half hour trying to find it. I knew it was a Legend of Zelda song without having heard it before. Never even knew about this game.
Such a bittersweet feeling. Brings me back to childhood when everything was so much simpler and happier. This song is still gorgeous and still gives me a feeling of readiness and anticipation, but I wish I could feel it today as strongly as I felt it back then. Man, nostalgia is so powerful.
This was my first ever Zelda game. I remember getting it at 6 years old in 2009, the same year I got my DSi for my birthday. Man this game is so so underrated, the nostalgia I get from it is unreal
You know stuff was getting lit when you heard this. This is nostalgia god I remember my brother going to mom to help him with bosses and her playing when he wasn't and just watching then. God I loved that.
So easy yet hard to believe this game came out 13 years ago and I was 8-9, playing on my ds, I remember sometimes I'd actually just drive the train around to listen to the over world music. I recently replayed the whole game cause as a kid I never beat it (I was scared of the phantoms n demon trains) and it brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings for LOZ games and I fully enjoyed the experience. Spirit tracks, imo, is #2 best Zelda game and ost for a Zelda game.
Damn the nostalgia hits so hard here. I remember the Christmas morning I got this game; I went to my grandmother’s and showed it off to my cousins all day. That weekend my parents took me to this lodge in the north of where I live on a vacation and we got snowed in. I took that time to complete this game in a few days. I was really content then. I remember how warm and comfy the bed was in that lodge, the fire, sitting there with my DS and joking around with my parents. It’s a memory I hadn’t thought of at all until hearing this song again; funny how music unlocks memories like that.
This game has the best tracks

This soundtrack it's just a masterpiece. I had so many memories, it's beautiful.
I have almost no memories of playing this game, but as soon as I heard this music an immense nostalgia feeling hit me right in the feelings.
That's how you know a game is great, you don't have to remember it, but deep inside you still know it and cherish it
Hearing it again literally made me cry, it makes me feel like it's saying it wants to be free, break all the barriers and explore the world, I just wasn't able to hold my tears, that's how much I love it
This is absolutely stunning, as is the entire game. Yet it's still widely the lowest rated Zelda game. Definitely in my top 5 👌🏼
Yesss! At last someone agrees with me! When I finished the game, I was just so... Sad! It was a beautiful game, yet I found lots of haters on the Internet...
As all zelda games spirit tracks is great, but i prefer phantom hourglass over this one, both are really similar but i feel ph is superior.
Isn't Minish cap like the 3rd worst?
Top 5 for me was Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass
top 5:
5. twilight princess
4.spirit tracks
3.nes
2.majora's mask
1.wind waker.
this song is so uplifting! like you want to venture into new lands, like you want to blow the whistle with the song and you want to ride the tracks! it's so great!!!
I can never get over how the bassline at 2:47 matches the ocean theme from Wind Waker it's such a perfect allusion to the boat riding from that game and how this all takes place in the same world and adventure just took new forms
Going in your car traveling along the country with this song ... omg
I actually liked Spirit Tracks. It was kind of special, with the locomotive and all, but I appreciated the game. Couldn't describe the awesomeness to make a hike through the realm with this song, using all along the locomotive's whistle
This music is beautiful!
wow. After almost 12 years it's still amazing to listen to.
the 25th anniversary version was soooooo gooooood
Lol I'm laughing so hard at your profile picture xD
InToxicraft Its changed since then, but go ahead and laugh at the waifu
I feel like the original is better.
Anyone remember the days when people complained that Zelda has trains.... now we have robots and giant death machines and a motorcycle
Well Majoras Mask had Aliens.
@@cristiany140 It did?
@@jessygingles30I think there was a side quest in Majoras mask in which aliens tried to steal cows.
@@letsplaysaschagd9331 oh
My very 1st Zelda game, this song brings a tear to my eyes every time.
I love this game ans this track! This game accompanied me when I lost my job and had to stay home for a long time. Still listen to Spirit Tracks music till now and my 5-year old loves the game and music too
Giving a Zelda game to your five-years old truly is an amazing gift !👍😊
Started playing it yesterday, I got so much nostalgia from it even though I never played it or Phantom Hourgalss, or even Wind Waker ( ;-; ), It's so damn good, and I already love Zelda.
I played those two last year and felt so nostalgic 😭 must be because of the sound chip or the ds or the system itself
This will always be one of my favorite Zelda tracks. Too amazing not to love :)
I see what you did there. Zelda tracks :D
KantoOfHyrule XD
The soundTRACK is fantastic, honestly.
Wow
Thank you for sharing! Wherever you are right now I hope you and your brother are fine
i whistle this tune on a weekly basis. and have ever since 2009.
2020, coronavirus lock-in, listening to the best song of the best The Legend of Zelda game
this song gives me immense nostalgia from being a kid. i love it dearly
This theme is peak
Ah, this song never gets old.
This is the song that got me into death metal!
tbh same
What the frig??
Same here
How?
Spirit Tracks is so underappreciated. One of my most favorite Zelda games to date.
OMG THE NOSTALGIA HIT IS REAL.
The game is really a masterclass, especially the music, and it's hearing it that made me want to make music myself . Ost are so important to a game
this was the first game i had ever played in my childhood and recently i heard this piece in the background of a youtube video i was watching and the memories all came rushing back, here i am now just soaking uo the nostalgia of this fantastic piece. i cant wait to buy this game again at some point
if you have a computer you can emulate the game using free software found on the Internet
Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are such underrated zelda games! I spent countless hours playing them Constantly
I haven't played this game in over... what, 8 years? I'm man enough to admit, that this made me cry. It made me remember those good times... god, I miss them. It's shown me how much I've grown... live on forever in my heart, Spirit Tracks!
This was the very first Zelda game I beat. I already loved this song back then, but today, I really appreciate it.
It's been like 10 years since I've heard this music, but I still knew it by heart
If you're reading this comment it means you have a superb music taste.
Yes
thanks you~
*The look of superiority*
I LOVE THIS SONG
Def in one of my top 10 most memorable tracks in the history of my existence
This is my favourite zelda game, the story, the bosses, man, I just love it
This was my first ever Zelda game. I remember getting it at 6 years old in 2009, the same year I got my DSi for my birthday. Man this game is so so underrated, the nostalgia I get from it is unreal
Listening to this song after 10 years playing the game just gave me chills down my spine...
This theme was amazing. No matter what beat in the music it was, the "chuga chuga chuga" of the train always hit and amplified the beat perfectly.
This was def a great game, I miss having it
Damn the nostalgia hits so hard here.
The otistic zelda in all of its splendor! I fudging love this game
Haven't even played this game and this is one of my favorite Zelda tracks. Get it? Spirit tracks, soundtracks...
I'll show myself out.
please leave.
it was 4 years ago, I think he already left haha

Spencer Pettus that wasn’t as good as it could have been. How much TRAINing have you had in the art of puns?
Sorry please come back
I just noticed at 1:00 you can hear a small piece of Windwaker playing until the whistle part starts again! Wow!
One of the best tracks🔥
