Revali is my favorite champion, I think most people write him off because he's arrogant. I think he's the best written champion because his character is far deeper than the others. He also is the only champion to work for his power. He is never recognized for all his effort by the one person he wants to be recognized by, Link. He has so much pressure upon himself and he pushes himself to the edge of what he is capable of, until he has full mastery over every aspect of his gale and his bow. I think had he lived, he would have surpassed even Link in power, just because he puts in so much work.
Tbh a reason why I personally love Revali. He's not just "oh Link you are awesome!". Is he arrogant? yes, but I always percieved his interactions with Link in a "Come on bruh, you can do better than that!" manner, always trying to taunt Link to go even further. Like some kind of friendly rivalry between champions.
i think he just gives a bad first impression though i sill prefer Daruk i don't hate Revali heck i nicknamed my Corviknight and Staraptor Revali in sword and legends Arceus
3:40 brought me to tears. Too freaking beautiful. Revali's my favorite champion regardless of what everyone says and I absolutely adore his music. There's depth to his character than most people think. Nice to see Revali enjoyers in the comment section too!
Revali is the most complex of the 4 champions. He is not a bad guy, only has sassy manners, but is much more than this. For how much I don't usually like characters like his, I truly love how he is portrayed. (Sorry if I made mistakes, not english mothertongue)
I feel like a combination of his DLC cutscene (revealing a hint of his own insecurity, and how far he's willing to push himself to succeed at any and all cost to himself) and learning about some of the hidden symbolism in the Vah Medoh theme (specifically, that he apparently held out the longest of all the Champions again Ganon's Blight, but was also the most afraid and desperate when he was inevitably defeated) really gave me a deeper appreciation of him. There's much more to Revali than the persona he puts on-we simply never got a chance to see it before he died. (And really, once you're a spirit, what's the point if you can't continue to be as sassy as ever?)
Okay I'll admit I hate horrible localization because I've seen what he says in English translated from Japanese and now I understand why he has one of the better themes among the champions. He was looking for a rival in Link and even admitted that someone was better.
I don't even think that the localization messed that up too much. If you read into his lines on a deeper level they say a lot of the exact same things as the Japanese text, just in different ways that may be harder to pick up on. Which I prefer actually. Having Revali be a smug exterior with some actual respect on the inside makes for a much more interesting character in my opinion.
@@gottafindacoolname He has the saddest backstory of all the champions. Urbosa can strike lightning, Mipha can heal, Daruk can generate a shield and Link has extremely fast reflexes. Revalis ability of creating updrafts is an ability all Ritos are inherently born with.
@@Droobie03 actually that was the thing that set him apart from other ritos, ritos CANT make updrafts, he was the first to do the impossible by making that ability to fly upward, so he's mega awesome
@@geno_cyanide0796 I remember there was an npc, I think by the stable near Rito village who was trying to study Ritos and was trying to understand how Ritos were able to fly despite being so heavy with such small wingspan. I think Ritos are truly capable of controlling the air around them. This is also supported by how Tulin was able to make a tiny tornado in Age of Calamity. It's just Revali was the first to make such a powerful version that's capable of allowing direct vertical flight.

Personalmente creo que en sí el tema DEL revali transmite más fe que melancolía en si No se, es como una fe al futuro de los rito ( basándome en su lore)
This music per se is great. The theme itself is truly capable of evoking emotion, its accordion (?) sounds, the ritenuto piano chords, the rising crescendo... I just love the music for the musics sake, I could listen to it all day... but the memories of playing BOTW, the emotion of seeing, of living this story for the first time make this infinitely good piece infinitely better.
