Just got the XDT131 on sale for 50$ at Home Depot and it definitely has done everything I’ve asked without issue. Haven’t gave it a crazy test yet but for 50$ I’m already very pleased
Thanks for giving the other model numbers as well! Not sure why they have different model numbers, but there's probably some brilliant marketing magic there. Good video!
12v brushless drill and impacts are so nice though, totally worth it if you are going to use them a lot :) have at least 2x the power compared to brushed models. Btw gtd02 is called td003g outside of the US ;)
Yes, we also have td003g in Taiwan which is a dumb-down version of td001g/td002g. It's $60 cheaper than its predecessors. Why would Makita release the td003g is a mystery. I suspect Makita planned the td003g during the pandemic where the shortage the of chip was at its max.
Im pretty good with the 18’s, might get a xgt tool one day, but for now, i’ll stick with the older models wich is perfect for home use and diy projects
I have XDT19 I really like it... Have a few people I follow on Instagram that have already burned up the 40 volt tools... I think I'll just stick with the 18s, I have a track saw, band saw ,3/8 impact, drill and the XDT 19.. Slowly switching all of my tools over to Makita
Hands down the XDT14, 16, 19 or 21(?) or in the rest of the world DTD154/171/172/173. Why? Because batteries are cheaper and also if you don´t need the runtime the 2Ah makes a noticable weight difference. The XGT are overkill and only reasonable is you are already on that plattform.
Ah I wasn't aware they finally released it bare tool. The XST01 is kinda silly when you can find the Milwaukee oil impact for under $80 often. I don't recommend the Makita, just too expensive.

I'll admit it. I buy Makita tools because of the colors.

GDT02Z is $164 bare tool at Acme. Still don’t think it’s worth it, but you can find it cheaper. Also, where does the XST01 fall on your list?
