      I agree, and all credit goes to the Voron Dev team! I picked a Vorong Legacy to build as they are just such beautiful printers.

    I'm new to your channel and I must admit, I'm really impressed with the quality of your work. I watched this and the Lotmaxx review and I was not expecting that quality from a channel with only 316 subscribers!
    If I'm being very very nit-picky, I think the overall image could use just a bit more brightness/contrast either in post or with a more powerful light to make the image pop a bit more!
    Good work!

    Beautiful legacy. Im almost done with a switchwire, little more than half way with a 2.4 but that because im reworking so much due to a few upgrades i want to do but man..... i like this printer too 😬

      The Legacy is a good looking love letter to the early days of rods, such a good "scrap part" build. Thank you for the kind words, and good luck with the 2 builds.....or maybe 3 now ;)

    Now that's an interesting voron !
    May i ask where can i find the files to build the same ? I'm looking to convert some broken 3D printers into a Core XY machine, and this one should do the trick really nicely !

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure its a Voron Legacey (basiclly the last revision of the V1.6 the files can be found at:
      github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-Legacy
      There is no buils manual, but its quite an easy build using just the CAD files, but any questions feel free to shot me a message or check out the voron Discord that has a channel for the Legacy, and a lot of very helpful people!

  • @toasterdev8329

    Hi i have a question,why have a m4 when you also have a afterburner with a clockwork?also it is a super nice looking machine:)

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! The answer is the Stock Voron Legacy doesn't actually have an afterburner with a clockwork, it just has the same form factor as the clockwork but is bowden rather than direct drive. A clockwork can be used, but there is no official support for the drag chains and mounting plates for the Legacy (hell, there is not even a build manual for the Legacy), but a few people have modded their legacy to be direct drive. I just wanted a stock one for my collection of printers.
      Love the Legacy but for practicality, a trident is a far better option.

    This is beautiful! Did you modify the upper idlers they seem to cover the 2020?

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they are modified to cover the whole extrusion. The stock part just triggered me too much having half the extrusion exposed. I didn't design the part myself, it was done by a user on the Discord called Aaron F.

      Hey Ben, Its eSun ABS+ green (Not sure, but think they may have renamed it as P-Green, as the now have 3 greens in the range P, Pine and Peek) really compliments the Grey they do too as they both have a blue hue to them. Will double check the lable to see if it had a part number.

    Has any business-orientated mind assembled the parts for building one like that voron?

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not seen any kits for it, most kits are for the v2.4, Zero or v1.8. the parts count is very low, it's really just the frame, rods, and some bearings...It's by far the cheapest build of all the Vorons.

  • @ameliabuns4058

    • @PigeonPrint

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The switch wire mod is a really nice upgrade to the stock Ender 3. not sure if you have seen it, but there is a user mod specifically for the Ender 3 and Pro models by Gizzzle . github.com/VoronDesign/VoronUsers/tree/master/printer_mods/Gizzle/ender-3_(pro)_switchwire

    Really nice... Can it go fast? like 2.4 or rat rig?

    • @PigeonPrint
      @PigeonPrint  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've not done any high-speed testing on it yet. But, can't see it getting into V2.4 speed territory due to how much more ridged rails are over rods. But, I have a high-flow Dragon for it, so will do some testing to see if it's limited by how much plastic it can push or the kinematics. I would be inclined to say build a V1.8 if you wanted to go for fast and affordable.
