I returned the first model because it had hair under the screen and HDR problems. The second model works much better, but there are still some problems with it. The display port 1.4 doesn't work and when I turn on HDR on consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X) the screen can flicker (during gameplay, die a lot because of it in Elden Ring) and totally mess up the colour palette. Also somtimes in dynamic FPP games I see vertical banding, it's just weird and sad for that price.
I really hope we get more monitors with local dimming zones. I would get this monitor for my PC but the input switch bug and other minor annoyances is putting me off.
@@animeworldsensei exactly bro! I have the Sony Inzone m9 monitor next to my PS5 right now and the brightness and graphics ppi are fucking amazingly sharp and vivid for $899 $1000 and I love it yeah sure a little haloing or ips glow just very little of that but the blacks are good enough for it. I also have an oled 55 inch Sony tv $2,500 and blacks are amazing but it’s not even close to what this Sony m9 monitor looks.

I would be seriously tempted to go for this over replacing my 55” 1080p Bravia. Waiting until manufacturers really started pushing 4K long before it was at all worthwhile meant you could buy a lot of the best of the last 1080p panels for crazy low prices. It may be technically lower resolution etc, but the picture quality is still excellent and absolutely annihilated much higher priced 4K ones at the time. HDR was also still a complete mess similar to the whole “HD-ready” random native resolution rip-off we got near the start of the PS3/360 generation. The only thing holding me back is the absolutely woeful implementation of HDR in Windows, it’s still totally broken and I do wonder how many people using it on PC would be as shocked as I was when plugging a PS5 or Xbox into their current monitor and suddenly seeing it done properly. It’s better keeping it switched off completely in Windows, how they still get away with it I have no idea but for me 4K is mostly just such a waste of power, HDR is where the real leap forward happens.
I purchased the LG 27GP950 and I really couldn’t get pass the IPS glow when playing games like Resident Evil Village. I sent it back and was thinking of getting the InZone M9 because of the 96 zones and better HDR.
For an extra 300 quid you can get that 42 inch ROG OLED monitor, I think for anyone buying this sort of thing 300 quid more isn't that big of a deal, plus that comes with cables 😂
@Radro Roscam just a bunch of casuals they don’t understand lol 😂and they also don’t understand that 27 has better graphics because of ppi screen is small lol 😂
I was looking for a review of this monitor and found your channel. (Now subscribed). I am currently using my PS5 on my SONY 65” A95K but prefer gaming on a smaller screen. Some consider £1000 for a monitor to be expensive but after throwing £3200 at a Bravia QD-OLED, the price tag doesn’t seem that bad 😉👍.

Personally, I've loved the C1. It isn't very energy efficient, but the picture quality is phenomenal, the HDR OLED colouring is next level, and with G-Sync and 120hz, you are getting monitor level performance for gaming, and for a similar price to the INZONE - AB

Hey I was wondering if you'd have any idea as to why I'm running into this issue When I have this hooked up to my laptop, I'm able to select up to 120hz , but When I have it hooked up to my PS5 or PC, its only available up to 60Hz On the "Video Output Information" tab, Under the "supported" section, it shows that it recognizes up to 120 Hz display, but on the "Current Video output signal" it only shows 60Hz I have turned off Eco mode, Messed with VRR, HDR and all the settings it offers I've changed the HDMI cable I even ran the update through the hub app, which was a pain to figure out properly, and still I am only able to run up to 60Hz I figured it would be just an issue with the monitor itself, but its weird that on my Laptop it recognized 120hz, but not on my PS5 or PC I hope that you are able to help , Thank you

This product really seems like a big money grab that doesn't make sense on top of that. I'm not sure why the PlayStation 5 doesn't support 144 Hertz refresh rate when the GPU built in is comparable to a Radeon 6700. Then on top of that the screening supports G-Sync which tells you that they're targeting Nvidia gamers cuz there are more Nvidia graphics cards out there versus PlayStation gamers. And then you factor in that there are not even that many games to play on PlayStation 5. And then you can't even use the screens full capabilities nor G-Sync for the PlayStation 5. And then you factor in the $900 price for the US. This monitor does not make sense in any way. It's just a money grab.

This monitor is crap and overpriced. The low dimming makes minimal difference because otherwise the light bleed is terrible. My 6 year old LG 4k monitors had better blacks with no dimming.

8:07 The oled has far less haze from light bleed but also less detail in the shadows. I think if your playing games the more you can see the better.

IPS not OLED?
Oled are trash they can’t get bright enough and this Sony beats a $1000 dollars oled on sale rn
@@Dieoxus yeah Sony have skills to encounter Oled weakness which is why their Olde ain't different from any display

Is there a fix for the searching for a signal issue yet
Looks nice. For me I'm going to get a Samsung t.v. around Christmas time. Not looking to spend 800 or 900 dollars

Would you say that in 2024 it would be the best for current consoles?

Did you end up getting the inzone? I play village too
How does it look if you did?
Ah, yes. I see that you know your judo well.
Great review thanks, what is the game where someone has a white space suite and helmet, running, shooting and slashing?

Described me perfectly and i was already looking at that ROG monitor.

Most gamers are casual so having a large screen makes sense, plus they probably use it more for movies and streaming content.
Sent mine back and got an LG C2 42
You can't go wrong with the C2 - Aaron

I’m starting to believe more ppl game on tvs instead of monitors….
I have a 27 inch 4K ACER monitor but it’s only 60hz, I kinda want to get this to get the 144hz but I’m not sure if it’s worth it 🤔
No. Its not. You can find a better monitor with more hzs. Under 300 dollars
I can't pay that much when even my damn phone is P-oled not to mention the crazy monitors out there for just slightly more.
