    I work as a delivery driver for an Amazon dsp part time as a second job. Not easy at all but when the routes are 100 -120 stops it’s pretty cool. But as I continue to pick up shifts on the weekends I thought about owning a dsp myself in the future. Thank you for this info!

      I was watching a different video were they explaned the cons, like if Amazon decides to remove you as a delivery partner ( becuase they can for no reason), or if one of your drivers hit someone or damages the van that is leased from amazon.

    Being a delivery driver was tough. The owner was always stressed with emergencies like injuries and broken vans. I lasted five months, dealing with too many stops, dirty vans, and no recognition for doing well. The lack of appreciation and high turnover made it clear that the job wasn't great.

    • @shesjenclarke
      @shesjenclarke  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      As a DSP owner, there were many time I had to be in a van delivering packages myself. Completely agree that being a delivery driver is a tough job. I also agree there needs to be better support and recognition for delivery drivers. Balancing the demands of running a delivery service while mitigating emergencies requires immense effort and resources. Your owner's stress likely stemmed from the responsibility to ensure both the safety of the drivers and the efficiency of the operation.

    • @shesjenclarke

      Scaling a business to $1,000,000 in profit from starting with Zero loan, $10,000 in starting capital, and operating through Year 1 is Godly. Your Cash on Cash return is insane in that scenario (granted you have to GROW over years, but you started cheaply). I suppose you over achievers could make 6 figures, work for a company for a decade, and make $1,000,000, I suppose.

    Is actually a very good idea. A total control of the essentials is a must, you need to keep the vehicles running anyway, and you right the savings is noticeable! Can I ask a question please. What is the total investment for the Amazon DSP, and is it available in areas like the west Cost US? Thank you.

    • @JAmCaM212
      @JAmCaM212 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      From my knowlege Amazon only require $10,000 to start. The 10k goes to buying the stuff you need the first month. DSP program is in almost every state and definitely on the West Coast.

    I wouldn’t mind doing this but I’ve heard of them closing businesses down with no heads up. Making you the owner responsible for the debt. To me that what Makes the con outweigh the pro. You can get revenue base loans and loc most banks only care about the gross. So you can use it as leverage. But Im going to call Amazon to get all the information.

    I’m Leul, and I’m reaching out with a humble request. I’ve always dreamt of owning a motorcycle for freedom and livelihood, but financial constraints have kept this dream out of reach.
    We may be strangers, but I believe in the power of compassion. If you could help me acquire a functional motorcycle, it would be a life-changing act of generosity.
    Thank you for your time and understanding, even if you can’t help. Your empathy means the world to me.

    This is AWESOME!! You talk a little fast for me, so I've had to rewind a lot. That being said, driver here. I've always wanted to know the other side of how a DSP is ran. I love to understand the big picture of things. It's easier to have more compassion if you have understanding, but they just don't tell us how these DSP's operate; actually they really don't tell us anything. My current DSP is a one woman ran show. I don't know how she does it. My previous DSP had HR, Safety and Ops departments.
    I had no idea renting was more expensive; I always thought it was to sneak out of the safety metrics from Netradyne. When we go from Fantastic Plus to Good, they put us in rentals for a week. Looking forward to more videos!

    Can you explain how you are not violating contract? Usually the Amazon station has a list of supported dealers you can take your van in for maintenance

    • @robertotr
      @robertotr 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't think that is true. They have options, but you can take the vans wherever you want. They control the vehicle aspects by doing inspections daily at the station where the vans get the packages.
      They also have preferred renter companys, but you can rent from anywhere you want.

    🤔

    • @robertotr
      @robertotr 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The bonus is for the company. The company chooses what to do and what not.
      The drivers part is the paycheck for the job we do (I'm a driver as well).
