    EDIT: You are brilliant! This worked flawlessly and I successfully made rice in my brand new instant pot for the first time int he month I have owned it. Subscribing now to learn more about using this magic device.
    I will try this tomorrow. Every time I have tried doing basmati in my instant pot I get the dreaded burn warning.

    Thank you for this foolproof method of cooking Basmati rice. I was a little bit hesitant to try yet another rice recipe for the Instant Pot because they have failed miserably in the past; however, the fact that you not only gave step by step instructions but also showed your results gave me the confidence to try it and it was perfect! I bulk cooked some rice, ate some for dinner and will package the rest for freezing and other meals this week. Thank you for the easy to follow, dependable method of cooking rice. I’ve subscribed =)

      Well the preheat stage taken forever and then it says food burnt on the machine. Depressurised it and the rice inside was good surprisingly! Think perhaps I made too much tho it expands all the way to the top of the inner pot. Try again next week I guess! Thanks for the video!

    Thank you for the cooking times and ratios. I"m making bulk rice in my Ninja Foodi tonight. I've never used oil, do I need to do that even though the Foodi has a ceramic coating? I'm a little confused about how long I can leave the rice in the refrigerator. You have five lunches for the week, and yet you say the rice will only last in the fridge 3 to 4 days, or you will need to freeze it. How long will the rice last in the fridge? I'm excited to learn more about batch cooking, my husband and I always make enough of any meal for leftovers!

      Hi Frieda, I only keep cooked rice it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. If we will not eat it in that amount of time, I freeze it. I have 5 lunches, but my husband and oldest son take lunches to work, so those 5 lunches will be gone in 3 days.

      @@AleaMilhamVideoTutorials Thank you for your quick reply. I didn't use oil because of the ceramic coating in the Ninja Foodi, and there was no sticking. Your ratio and cook time was spot on. The rice was perfect.

      I did two cups rice and 2.5 cups water and used the same cook time 3 and 7. It came out perfect.

    • @AleaMilhamVideoTutorials
      @AleaMilhamVideoTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is the same amount of time, no matter how much or how little rice you make.

    Packaged rice is never pre rinsed! Imagine the energy they need to dry the rice 🤦🏻‍♂️. Humid rice will spoil!!
