Why can't you use the plus size ruler for the regular sized ones? I have the plus size one but want more patters, and the regular sized one has a lot more patters
There is a new collection for the plus size patterns, the edition 35: lutterloh.ca/product/xxl-new-update/ ... or your can work with the regular scale up to 144 bust or hip cms measurement, adding 2 holes more on the top of the scale.

I just learned about this kit yesterday after watching the live. I always tried my hands in sewing. I even took sewing classes, but still was not as informative as the speaker yesterday.
If my bust is 108 cm and my hips is 111cm, which kit should I get?
Hi Jacinta, the regular kit works just wonderful for your measurements, also you have a lot more options , updates and editions to add later. The XXL is more for 130+ up to 170! that's the beauty of the XXL , easy pattern for bigger sizes.
I have XL hips with a regular size bust and style of regular size. I have someone I will be sewing for that is right opposite XXL bust and regular size hips with the regular size style. Is there a formula I can do to make this work for all sizes. I have both the XXL and regular. The XXL style is more for my mother, nothing in my style, if I can’t interchange them (which I asked more than a dozen times before ordering if this would work for plus size as well and was told I'm the regular goes from 50-170cm and they were all interchangeable)☹️
Hi @llamattude , the Regular goes from 50 up to 140 cm , we can said from large (100 cms) up to XL (140 cms / 55 in). The XXL starts from 110 and goes up to 170cmx. So mostly you can use both. So if you are between 110 and 140 , both works for you. When you already drafted your pattern, you can interchange them, working each pattern with their corresponding metric-tape, so you can interchange the neckline or the sleeve, also the top or bottom of a dress. I fluctuate sizes quite dramatically due to my chronic illnesses. Can I use the blue ruler with the yellow patterns, or the yellow ruler with blue patterns? Or do I actually need to purchase both kits?
The yellow patterns works with the regular tape measure only. The XL & XXL blue patterns are designed only for the blue tape measurement.

Hi want verify that I can use the standard system. My bust is 130cm and hips are 137cm. I purchased the XXL system several months ago but does not have a lot of patterns that interest me. Do you know if you can you order just the patterns and tape measure for the standard patterns or would I have to order the other set?
The ones that are complicated I do not understand how to do. I want to do top 21. It is a white top with black lace. Could you explain this. How do you do the 2 pieces. What about the seam allowance. Could you do a video. All the videos I have watched just show the very simple patterns.

Sorry for the delay, yes the regular kit is just perfect for you, it comes with a lot of styles and the black figure specially designed with more ease. I will take a look of the style you want to do #21 to answer your question, or make a video of course.
The kit is more advantageous because you have the scale and 280 patterns (7 supplements) , if you buy the metric tape and supplements separated will be more expensive.

All of these Lutterloh tutorials keep showing the picture of the lady in the red vest, but that pattern is nowhere to be found! I reached out to them and still haven't received an answer. The red vest was what made me order the Lutterloh system. Can you please tell me how I can get this pattern.

I have an old set in the regular size, but no ruler set. If I purchase the xxl ruler, will it work on the regular size patterns I currently have?

Are the fuller figure and the XL & XXl the same?
Hi Joyce, the full figure are regular patterns ideal from 100 cm to 140 cm bust or hip contour, on the complete kit or on the supplements are indicated with a black figure. The special editions are also full figure. The XL & XXL works with the blue special tape measure, they are for 110 to 170 cm bust or hip contour.
How much ease in patterns

njour madame. j'ai acheté en 1984 un manuel complet avec uncentimetre blanc mais voilà depuis j'ai grossi et désormais mon tour de poitrine fait 136 et mon tour de bassin 122. est ce que je dois prendre le manuel avec le centimètre bleu ou celui que je possède convient encore et seulement prendre de nouveaux modèles. merci de votre réponse
Bonjour Gladys, il vous faut seulement des nouveaux modèles , les patrons régulier avec le metre ruban blanc va jusqu'au 140 cm poitrine ou haches.
Does the Lutterloh work on commercial patterns like Butterick?
Hi @Roz S the commercial patterns comes on standard sizes, is why they are made different. With the Lutterloh System you work by measurement. That said , you can always combine a style detail from your commercial patterns, to your bodice LS pattern, like the collar or the length to give some examples. Best regards
I have narrow hips a flat butt and a xx large abdomen. Please advise Thank you.
Hi @Joyce Wilson, when you take your hip measurement you go a little up to the middle of the abdomen, like this your measurement considers also your abdomen . So for the flat butt (the dots corresponding to the butt) you can use your hip narrow measurements. Usually I mark with different colors when I try two measurements in one zone so I can choose which line fits better . Hope this helps. Happy sewing!
