Saludos!
Thank you very much for this very understandable video ! , I am really interested in trying some of the Lutterloh patterns that I have that say they are for knit/stretch fabrics. The amount of stretch varies in fabric, so I am not sure if that would make a big difference to the finished size ? Thank you again for your time making this video.
Thank you for your comment! Choose a stretch % according at your project, for a bath suit will be more % of stretch than for a blouse or a jogging, Ask for the better fabric that suit your needs at the fabric store.
Thank you for showing where to measure the body. I would never have know to measure at an angle because of curvy parts. Do you have a pattern for jeans? or overalls (coveralls)? Thank you
Hi, you can always modify a basic pattern, so you can use the vest pattern as base for some ideas . If you are looking for something specific you can also look for a pattern ready inside all the collection of Lutterloh Patterns.
Hi Bernadette, in this video you can see a excellent example using the upper bust measurement to adjust the shoulder section. th-cam.com/video/uIpw4w5HiLY/w-d-xo.html
Hi, the Lutterloh Pattern making system is focused to draft great patterns made to measure. With a pattern made to your measure (easier also to make a little personal adjustments, try your pattern in paper) the sewing is much easier. You have the construction basics in local and digital courses, tutorials, book and of course in the commercial patterns that you already have. Best Regards
Hello I did not get this vest pattern in my box I got this Christmas .? can I get it from somewhere ( or should the leaflet have been in in the kit box ?)or is there another pattern in book to make up as a good starter for me to get the fit thank you very much
Hi Joanne, we add the vest pattern leaflet on all our kits from Lutterloh.ca . You can contact from who you get yours or you can subscribe to the webinar on the site Lutterloh.ca , then you receive by email the link to the brochure vest pattern pdf to print. Happy sewing!
I cut out a very simple skirt pattern a couple of days ago, not the fabric yet. But it doesn't look like the waist will fit. How do i make adjustments to the patterns for that? I recently bought an older version of the system so this is my first try. Thanks for any help. I emailed lutterloh last week but i haven't gotten a response. Thanks

Hi I have the mens collection to but wondered do we treat this measuring in the same way. I also have XL measure as well as original one. I presumed I would use XL measure as hubby is large. Thanks
Hi @Janet Thorneloe, mens patterns works the same, but all the patterns in yellow (including the mens collection) works with the regular metric tape, if you need a little more you can add two or three holes. The XXL tape works with the patterns in blue.
When I photocopy the patterns, is there any reason I cannot enlarge the pattern on the printer? The original is small and I find it hard to see all the lines and measurements. Should not the center mark stay in the same spot, even if the pattern itself is enlarged?
Hi Anita, I bought my Lutterloh kit with about 280 patterns and two rulers from Bernina, Blackheath in Johannesburg. All Bernina shops stock Lutterloh in South Africa . Regards Barbara
Hi Wanda Kitzmiller, you have the fabric needed marked on each pattern, based in 110 cms measurement (bust or hip contour) . I usually take my quantity of fabric from my pattern already drafted.
Bonne couture!
Hi @Momzilla! all comes from the bust contour, I'm also tall, and my mom is petit, basically the proportions comes drafting with your bust measurement and if you are long waist you can adjust the length , make it longer or shorter.
@@LutterlohSystem I know that you are going to laugh. My daughter is 6'2! How tall can we go on this system? Are any really tall girls using the system? I would love to hear what they are saying. Thanks so much.
@@momzilla9491 In this case the system is for you, I don't laugh! I already see long arms, really long arms, not big, slim and long. so you adjust the length , in sleeves and pants where the lines goes parallel , in the top at the height of the cross mark.
@@LutterlohSystem Good News! I'm so glad I asked. If I could also ask, how many shorten/lengthen lines are shown for a basic bodice? Thanks for letting me pick your brains.
I usually do historical sewing, but I've lost a lot of weight and need a new modern wardrobe. I have an asymmetrical figure and fitting me is a nightmare. How does Lutterloh handle clients with scoliosis or other conditions where one hip or shoulder is higher, or rounder than usual?
Hello @DannyJane , yes the Lutterloh Patterns is perfect for this , you have available all the measurements, between each measurement the difference is 2 cms, so you can go so precisely and of course you can make two patterns one left and one right with a slight difference. Also you can change the measurement in each area, the most common example is the full bust, you can use for the dots in the shoulder area the upper bust contour, and for the dots in the bust area the full bust contour, with that you have more adjusted the shoulders. So, for a higher shoulder you can trace the correspondent dots with the following upper measurement. Like that you can personalize each pattern exactly for you. The vest is a beautiful pattern to observe all this differences and personalize the system for you. With this notes you work the rest of the patterns in the system. Hope this help :) Best Regards
