I’ve been learning Hung Gar for about eighteen months now, and doing regular thirty second horse stances coupled with a couple of hours training every week has had me put on over ten kilograms of leg muscle

i love the horse stance, i always tell people, yeah, movements good, yeah bouncing around like bruce lee or muhamad ali is fine, but at the end of the day IF your caught by a good strike, it WILL movie you, but in a solid stance, bo stance, horse stance, karate stance, traditional boxing for those who don't remember, or know, was originally rooted in DEEP stances you will NOT be moves unless the person your fighting is rediculously stronger than you, but then you just change it up a bit, but the point is, the lower your center of gravity, the heavier your become, good video dude really love this, and i just realized this is like damn near five years old lmao

The Ma Bu I think is a good introduction to legs on Kungfu in general. What I mean is, a lot of people don't realize just how low you're supposed to go in Kung Fu forms. Investing on a good Ma Bu will make you realize the importance of a low stance, like introducing a whole new dimension. Embrace it, and your Kung Fu instantly improves.

OK you fullfilled the title of the video "How to do a horsestance" but sadly you did´t understand the fact, that the horsestance, tigerstance etc. are really the first and most important fighting techniques in kung fu.... of course it will improve your dynamic and your strength but what the most people don´t notice is, that the stances are not for standing in front of the enemy, they are for to stand behind his front leg. So if you step behind his front leg after grapping the enemys arm you will bind the opponent to you. Then with the tiger stance you can pull the leg away...for example....
Binding the enemy is very important cause you can measure very well what the next actions oof the enemy will be.... If the enemy stands in front of you etc. he can do 3000 things... when he is bound to you... maybe 3 things...
So actually I don´t want to be disrespectful. I got a dude who will help me with my kung fu channel and next week I`ll do a video about the application....
