I have the mount that FMA makes for the dummy GPNVG (I got a good deal on a bundle) but it was rattling and couldn't even lock properly into the helmet without having to grind some bits off, but now I dont even need it :D
I wish I found this video earlier so I didnt have to waste money on the dedicated mount when I had the rhino at home all the time. Great tip, great video!

No, its perfectly inline with my eyes :) you can adjust using the little turning adjuster on the nvgs

Helmets are rather expensive or cheap depending on which site you go to, dummy GPNVG-18 goggles are about £40 and the mount is usually 35-39 pounds

For running the GPNVG-18s with a MICH 2000
I would say "pretend" they are ANVIS-9 Night vision goggles
ANVIS-9 goggles are the predecessor to the GPNVG-18s and were used by special forces in the middle East during the mid 2000s and they ran MICH 2000s
Just something to think about
It would make for a cool kit
Just give it a little paint job and weathering
