Great job ! How wonderfu it was to turn decay into magic. You absolutely have given it a higher meaning than gardening. This is really an artistic work.
What an interesting video to celebrate your anniversary - I especially liked the look you achieved by scraping some of the dead branches & adding moss - congratulations on 1 year, looking forward to many more
This is one of the best videos yet. From the freeze dried candy to Nolan's jokes, then add the tree work, jin on the deadwood, one of the best yet. Hope to visit someday.
@@sheilaathay2034 it varies from tree to tree. For the structure that was wired, generally 6 months or so you can remove the wire and the branches will hold its shape. You'll have to closely monitor it to make sure the wires don't bite into the branch too much.
@@The1superrussell it depends on the structure and how fragile the branches are. The thin ones would snap easily, but thicker branches you can absolutely do this with. The hardest part with this technique is finding the right tree that matches the original structure. You have to get creative with it and requires quite a bit of wiring.

Your vision aligning the new stock to the old tree structure is amazing!! When you rotated the finished product, I was stunned!!
Fantastic!🤩

@@mcartwright6229 this one was different for sure. It was important that we kept as much of the original structure as possible to "revive" it.

It's just mostly dead😅...great job on this. Great videos!❤🎉
How many years does the wire need to remain on the tree? Will it grow into place so we can remove it?

I have a dead azalea tree that I just can't part with. Would this technique work for an azalea?

A dead tree is dead. Stop with the clickbait nonsense.
It's a figure of speech.
