I just love a child who acts like a child. She's playful, easy to laugh, most importantly, she acts her age. Though she is musically gifted and plays the bass better than some older adults, she's isn't obnoxious like some musically gifted children are. May she continue to bring joy to everyone who listens and watches her play bass guitar. I love it. Great job mom and dad for keeping your angel grounded. ❤

@@Ojas97especially the gifted ones, I"ve seen a lot that get pushed by their parents to accomplish what their parents couldn't.
So you end up seeing a 5 y/o taking like 3 different classes besides school and acting like he was at least 2 or 3 times their age.
And by the age of 13-15, you end up seeing the kid with anxiety and depression caused by the high hopes of their parents

In 1963 I was 5 yrs old, not in school yet and Pink Panther was always my favorite cartoon. Still is btw.

Definitely a bass line. Played it in high school band in the late ‘60s (baritone horn), then 40 years later as my son’s aid (he was also in band - baritone sax and due to a disability required someone to assist -me). That short bass riff has stayed with me now into 7 decades and you, young gifted star, honour it more than I can express.

I was in the high school band in the '60s and we played that song. Very popular because it is so cool. You play a fantastic version Ellen!!

I've always thought of this as a bass line, and you play it perfectly. I play punk rock drums, and a band I used to hang out with had their bassist play this in the middle of one of their own songs!
This and "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop are the perfect soundtrack pieces for any and all life situations. Both tunes make one feel empowered, important, and slightly mysterious. 🤘
The best proof that this theme from 1963 is a masterpiece is been proven here today that kids love this song so much they replay it. Thanks for the cool video!!!

Ellen is amazing in her improvisation on the original bass line. Back in the days, Bass lines were more simple and didn't actually take "starring" roles that much, but here she plays the melody as well. I hope no one discourages this great talent and goes beyond ... go girl, you got it!

When i was in high school , 11th grade in 75. There was a guitar class but me and 2 others were Bass players who practiced and studied alone in our own seperate room. One of my bass playing class mates who was more accomplished than me use to play this Pink panther tune on the bass all the time. I also DO agree it is a Bass line young lady. It is fun to play , also throwing in some slides at the correct spots. This sounds great. The tone is perfect 👍🎶🎸

That was the word expressed by by my soon to be 5yr granddaughter but my typing. I have introduced her to the “Pink Panther” cartoon. She is like like me and her momma, we could’t get enough.
She also has fallen in pure joy watching Ellen’s videos (Penny lane”) is he fav. I’m hoping to buy small bass and amp for birthday or Christmas.
I may be in trouble with daughter, who is pro violinist. My question is. Why not both. Like Ellen she choose which she enjoys most.

Yes it is a bass line. But I have never seen a tiny bass guitar like that. I am a guitarist don't know my notes that well and I guess that's what makes you a great bass player. Stated becoming interested in bass though TH-cam the I heard you play. Seems like there is magic coming from your fingers. That's why I call you Magic Fingers. Keep up the good work. That's what's known as a Ukulele bass. Silicone strings, short scale, made by a ukulele manufacturer. They're really cool instruments.

It's the melody, not the bassline
You can play a melody with the bass guitar and if you listen the bass is basically all you hear. So Pink Panther is basically a bass line. Check Mate. Do your home work.
It's a ukebass, that means a ukelele bass
