It’s the 12 days of Diagnose-mas! That wave form on the working module seemed more active from time to time than I would think it would be. Maybe it’s an active system for driver protection? Either way, it’s actually pretty advanced for a 20 plus year old car.
It was pretty advanced for its time. Chrysler pretty much invented the network system for cars. You are seeing every module when they communicate not just one.
Rob what number video are you up to. Said I would watch them all and I am. Another informative video. Thanks buddy for sharing your knowledge and stay safe and well Artie 😊
I got the infamous ccd bus no com p1698, p1687, p0700, occasional 1684 or 86 (cant remember). I dropped a motor after it had been sitting for 8 years. She runs beautifully. My passenger door module had 2 broken solder points. One was power. I took the pass mod apart and resoldered all points. Put it back in and all door locks and windows worked fine. Then one fay when checking out ccd i went to shit her down for the day and the doors wouldn't lock from the driver side. I chased it until i found the drover doir lock would only work with the key removed from the ignition. Pass lock worked but not driver. I looked into it and apparently it was a Chrysler thing they did. If you havr the key in the ignition it will disable the driver door lock. Just wanted to throw that one out there. I haven't watched the full video so im not sure if you didcovered this Chrysler "safety feature"

15 for the Diag days
So it was the driver's side door module that was the culprit?
On this particular car, yes
@@RobertDotterer Copy that, thanks! Really good video. Thank you. I'm thinking I have the exact same problem with my 96 JGC. We shall see.

A lot of cars won't lock with the keys in the ignition. Thanks for the tip.
